Abstract

Abstract: This study research aims to determine the effect of extracts of betel leaf (Piper bettle Linn.) For sedation mice (Mus musculus L.). The method is used the experimental method with completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 4 treatments and 6 replications. The treatment consisted of a negative control group (distilled water), and three groups of mice were given extracts of betel leaf with each dose of 0.5 mg / 10 gBW, 1 mg / 10 gBW, and 2 mg / 10 gBW. Data were analyzed by calculating the Diversity Analysis and continued with Test BNT. To decrease muscle power with Traction Test method, then a decreased activity and sensitivity to the environment with Fireplace Test method. Diversity analysis results indicate that the betel leaf extract significant effect on the increase in sedation mice, decreased muscle power, then a decreased activity and sensitivity to the environment with Fireplace Test method. BNT test results show that betel leaf extract dose of 0.5 mg / 10 gBW is the most effective dose in mice increases sedation. Information on the results of this study can be alternatif examples for learning and teaching material and contribution to the Learning Class XI Biology Semester II Basic Competence 3.10. Abstract

This study aims to determine students mastery of concepts  on the material of the sensory system after implementation strategies PDEODE in class XI SMAN 3 Palembang. The population in this study were all students of class XI SMAN 3 Palembang academic year   2015/2016. The research sample is drawn using purposive sampling techniques, in order to obtain class XI MIPA 7 as classrooms sample. The method used is Pre-Experimental Design to design a one- group pretest-posttest design. Data taken the form of student learning outcomes. Data analysis is the t-test, the results of this study showed the average value at KD3.10 class creative. The results of study showed an average increase of 48,03 in order to obtain an index gain of 0,69 with the medium category. T-test results showed that the implementation of the strategy PDEODE significant effect on student learning outcomes XI MIPA 7 SMAN 3 Palembang. Value study of the activity of students in class XI MIPA 7 SMAN 3 Palembang during the implementation of strategies PDEODE in very active category. Keywords: Students activities, mastery of concepts and PDEODE strategy.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran  kooperatif tipe The Power Of Two terhadap hasil belajar kelas X di SMA Negeri 11 Palembang  pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode pre eksperimental design dengan bentuk desain one group pretest – posttest design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIA 1 dengan jumlah siswa 40 orang. Pengambilan sample dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Parameter yang diukur dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar siswa kelas X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 11 Palembang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan hasil belajar  rata - rata  sebesar 31,92 sehingga diperoleh indeks gain sebesar 0,72 termasuk dalam kategori tinggi dengan ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal mencapai  90,83%. Berdasarkan hasil uji –t menunjukkan  bahwa nilai pretest dan posttest berbeda nyata, dimana nilai postest lebih tinggi dibandingkan nilai pretest. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran  kooperatif tipe The Power Of Two berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar kelas  X MIA 1 SMA Negeri 11 Palembang pada materi pencemaran lingkungan.   Kata Kunci : Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power Of Two, hasil belajar

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed at finding out the effect of guided inquiry teaching model on students’ achievement of membran transport mechanism. This study using pre experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design at class XI MIA 2  SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya (South Sumatera, Indonesia) academic year 2015/2016. The sample of this study was taken using simple random sampling. Data collected by the method of testing for learning achievement (knowledge), by the method of observation for student activities and attitudes, and by the method of the questionnare for student responses of the implementation of the model of teaching. Activities, attitudes, and responses data are the supporting data in the study. The data was analyzed using t-test and descriptive statistic. Results showed there is significant effect of guided inquiry model on students’ achievement (n-gain) 0.76 with categorized into high.  The mean score of the students’ activities (listening, writing, motoric, visual, and oral activities) was 81.05, categorized into very  active. The mean score of the students’ attitudes (honest, responsible, cooperation, tolerance, and confidence attitudes) was 89.22, categorized into excellent. The mean score of the students’ response was 62.86, categorized into good. Abstract

The slogan "I love made in Indonesia" seems to be a mere word, because it is proven that children are more proud of foreign culture, the swiftness of globalization will in fact shift the values of indigenous traditions and culture of Indonesia, both in cities and villages. Pempek or empek-empek city is another nickname for the city of Palembang. Culinary typical of local wisdom in Palembang is not just Pempek. Bekasam is a culinary specialty of local wisdom that makes biotenology. Based on preliminary observations, abundance of fish catches, still high interest in exam, low community who have skills in making scars, recommendations from the local government to integrate local wisdom, the existence of KD and topics of biotechnology along with skills assessment in the 2013 curriculum, the authors conducted classroom action research, through two cycles with the aim of improving the skills and quality of second-hand products, data obtained from observation of performance skills and product instruments with predetermined indicators, analyzed qualitatively. The end result is an average% of process skill assessment of 92.77%, the average% of product appraisal at the end of 89.81% shows that the former as a culinary knowledge of local wisdom can improve performance skills and biotechnology products for students of class IX.1 SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Batu. Keywords: Bekasam; Culinary; Local wisdom; Skills; Biotechnology

Abstract

PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING (PBL) PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI DI SMA NEGERI 14 PALEMBANG   Ristiana Wulandari1, Didi Jaya Santri2, dan Djunaidah Zen2   1. Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Sriwijaya email: dj_santri@unsri.ac.id Abstract: The research aims to study the impact to the student's activities and the learning outcomes with implementation of Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in Biology, of 35 students of class X SMA Negeri 14 Palembang, had been done. The results of this study indicate PBL can make students active, as shown some of activity indicator that includes student engagement, inquiry and investigation, performance, question and answer, and the presentation of its findings, with an average of 90.0%; 82.1%; 73.6%; 56.4%; 63.6%, respectively. An authentic assessment which includes participation, reports, presentations, and post-test showed a very good result with the average final score was 80.03. It can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model in Biology lessons and activities can improve student learning outcomes.   Key words: Problem Based Learning, biology, student activities, learning outcome Abstrak Penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mempelajari dampak kegiatan siswa dan hasil belajar dengan penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam Biologi, dari 35 siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 14 Palembang, telah dilakukan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan PBL dapat membuat siswa aktif, seperti yang ditunjukkan beberapa indikator aktivitas yang meliputi keterlibatan siswa, penyelidikan dan investigasi, kinerja, tanya jawab, dan presentasi temuannya, berturut-turut dengan rata-rata 90,0%; 82,1%; 73,6%; 56,4%; 63,6%. Penilaian otentik yang meliputi partisipasi, laporan, presentasi, dan post-test menunjukkan hasil yang sangat baik dengan skor akhir rata-rata adalah 80,03. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam pelajaran Biologi dan kegiatan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang hasilbelajar peserta didik setelah proses pembelajaran Biologi dengan menggunakan media visual. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 2 Palembang, pada mata pelajaran Biologi dengan subyek penelitian kelas XII IPS 1 yang terdiri atas 40 orang pesertadidik. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa pedoman observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Data yang didapatkan diolah dengan menghitung rata-rata hasil belajar dan persentase (%) peserta didik yang tuntas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar peserta didik mengalamipeningkatandarisiklus I (79,12) menjadi (82,15) pada Siklus II. Persentase peserta didik yang tuntas juga mengalami peningkatan yang awalnya 62,50% (pada Siklus I) menjadi 80,00 (pada Siklus II). Dapat disimpulkanbahwapenggunaan media visual pada pembelajaran Biologi meningkatkan hasilbelajarpesertadidik dan persentasepesertadidik yang tuntasdalambelajar.Kata-kata kunci: media visual,hasil belajar, biologi

Abstract

Education becomes the basis for the development and advancement of human life so that it is used as to develop their potential through the learning process. The success of the process in the learning activities also influenced by the teaching materials used. One of the teaching materials that can be used is LKPD. Utilization of LKPD based on the website becomes an attractive choice to be used in learning, wide access range and can overcome the limitations of space and time. The purpose of this research is to develop an LKPD based on the website using Notepad ++ on bacteria material for the tenth grade of senior high school, to find out LKPD base on website qualification, and to know the perceptions of teachers and students for the LKPD based on the website in bacteria material. The type of this research is development research using ADDIE model with stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. A subject of the test was two teachers and 12 students in SMA Negeri 8 Kota Jambi. Data in this research is qualitative data and quantitative data. The result of validation by material expert obtained by the percentage 95,31% with very good category and the result of validation by media expert obtained by percentage 93,75% with a very good category. The percentage on the perception of 2 teachers is 91,67% and 83,33% in the very good category. Percentage on the perception of a student is 89,58% with a very good category. Based on the results of the LKPD based on the website using Notepad ++ in bacteria material included in the category very well and can be used as an alternative teaching material to help learners understand the material of bacteria. Abstract

The purposes of this study to determine whether the web-oriented constructivism instruction approach can improve student’s habits of mind on the biodiversity concept. The method used in the study is  pre experiment method with one-grup pretest-posttest design who appied to students X-MIA 6 class and total 38 students. Research data is collected using critical thinking test, creative thinking test, self regulationquistionnare, and contributes  a web-oriented constructivism instruction approach to habits of mind observation sheet. Data were analyzed using hypothesis test and gain calculation. The result of this study that there are significant differences in student’s habits of mind score between before and after being applied the web-oriented constructivism instruction approach, and if based on the results of gain calculation, it was found that the most student an increase in the  medium on gain category. Other than that, if judging from the contributes  a web-oriented constructivism instruction approach to habits of mind category  it was found the results of a very good interpretation. Key Word: Web-oriented constructivism instruction approach, Habits of mind category

Abstract

This research is a development research. The aim of the study was to develop a valid and practical Animal Ecology textbook in the Lake Toba Region. The development research used was using the Thiagarajan 4D model. The results showed that in the define phase a mapping of the basic competencies of Animal Ecology and the material of local potential of the Lake Toba Region was produced. The design phase shows the textbook format that will be developed. The develope stage shows the results of validation by the validator stating that the local potential based Ecology Animal textbook is valid and the results of the student response questionnaire on positive textbooks. Animal Ecology textbooks based on the local potential of Lake Toba produced have met valid and practical criteria.Keywords. Learning Animal Ecology, Local Potential.
