Abstract

Breast cancer is a disease that attacks many women. About 60-70% of patients present at an advanced stage, III or IV, and more than 50% of the incidence of breast cancer ends in death. This number continues to increase, although breast cancer prevention screening can be done with breast mammography / ultrasound. Lack of knowledge about risk factors, and breast cancer associated with delays in patients with breast cancer have an impact on the wrong perception, delay in detection of breast cancer, 5 and delay in the diagnosis of breast cancer. The provision of health education can improve the patient's behavior in management through increased self-knowledge, perception, and breast self-examination practices. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education on breast cancer and BSE on the knowledge, perceptions and skills of mothers in the Padamara Health Center area. This research is a Quasi Experimental Design research with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design approach. The sampling technique uses quota sampling, a total of 30 mothers. Data analysis is in the form of univariable analysis, bivariable analysis using paired t test, data is normally distributed. The results showed that there was an effect of health education on the level of knowledge (p = 0.002), perception (p = 0.006), and maternal skills (p = 0.000). Keywords: health education, knowledge, perception, skills, breast cancer.

Methods: A quasi-experimental study with non-equivalent pretest-posttest with control group, sampling quota sampling. The number of samples was 60 subjects (30 controls and 30 interventions). The treatment group was given red ginger syrup 2x a day (3-4 tablespoons of syrup diluted with 200ml warm water) for 10 days. the control group was not given red ginger syrup. Nausea and vomiting are measured by an observation sheet. Test statistics with T Test. Ethical eligibility permit No.1127/B.1/ KEPK-FKUMS/III/ 2018. Research Results: There was a significant difference in the frequency of nausea and vomiting after 10 days of experimentation between the two groups (p <0.001) where the frequency of nausea vomited the treatment group sample in day 10 was smaller than the frequency of nausea and vomiting of the control group sample. Conclusion: Giving red ginger syrup for 10 days in pregnant women can reduce grade 1 hyperemesis of gravidarum in pregnant women. (p value <0.001)

Abstract

Instability of blood pressure is a condition in which the blood pressure is within the range of changes that tends to be constant. The blood pressure on the hypertensive people may change anytime, and it is difficult to be predicted. Even in some cases, the change of blood pressure cannot be felt by the sufferers, although it is much higher than the normal range. This may endanger the sufferers’ condition. This research aimed to know the blood pressure stability and the related factors of hypertensive people in Tambaksogra Village, Community Health Center 1 Sumbang. This research used observational analysis study design with cross sectional approach. The number of samples was 42 respondents; it was taken by using cluster sampling technique. The observation of blood pressure were done in 6 (six) days with daily measurement of the influencing factors. The data was analyzed by using lamda and coefficient of contingency. The result of the research showed that 90,5% of the respondents had unstable blood pressure (90,5%). The respondents with bad sleep quality were the most respondents who had unstable blood pressure (80,9%), p value 0,032; dominantly the respondents having unstable blood pressure were those who had normal level of stress (40,5%), p value 0,143; the obese respondents or non-obese respondents were the most respondents who had unstable blood pressure with p value 0,898. It can be concluded that almost all respondents have unstable blood pressure in six days observation and there is a correlation between sleep quality and the instability of blood pressure. Abstract

AbstractIndonesian nature is very rich in plants containing essential oils. Essential oils can be produced from various parts of plants such as roots, stems, leaves, flowers, or fruit. There are 50-200 species of essential oil producing plants. In Indonesia there are around 40 types of essential oils producing plants. One of the essential oils producing plants is lemongrass (Taufiq, Tuhana, 2008 p: 2). This study aims to determine the comparison of essential oils in Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) which are harvested at 6 months and 9 months with a water distillation method. The procedure for selecting samples and research samples, directly with the object of research, is the citronella plant whose harvest age is 6 months taken from 1 clump and 9 months taken from 1 clump. The results of this study indicate that lemongrass plants with a harvest age of 6 months produce more essential oils compared to lemongrass plants with a harvest age of 9 months. This is influenced by several factors, including climate, harvest age. Lemongrass plants aged 6 months are the optimal age to be harvested, so that they get a higher yield of essential oils, besides that the factors of soil fertility and the intensity of sunlight also affect the content of essential oils of lemongrass. From the results of the research that has been done on the test sample, it can be concluded that the results of the essential oil ration on citronella (Cymbopogon citratus), which has 6 months of harvest age, obtained an average yield of 0.46% v / b and 9 months. 0.35% v / b with the results of the t-test obtained by the price t-count (2.984)> t-table (2.776). So that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted and it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between lemongrass with 6 months and 9 months of harvest. Keywords: lemongrass, essential oil, age of harvest, water distillation
