Abstract

In writing process the students have to compose their writing by using their own choice of sentence structure and organize their own ideas in such a way that the reader can understand them. The aim of this study is to describe the students’ response after having been taught by using self-monitoring attention technique. The data in this study is use descriptive data. The results of this study were 57.10% students strongly agree, 35.05% students agree, 6.35% students quite agree, 0.30% students disagree, and 1.30% students strongly disagree. Most of the students were more active and enthusiastic during the process of teaching and learning through self-monitoring attention technique

Abstract

This researcher aims to improve student learning outcomes by using the Mind Mapping learning model in My Residential Area Theme in class IV-B Public Elementary School 060914 Kec. Medan Sunggal Learning Year 2018/2019. This research is a classroom action research (CAR), the subjects in this study were students of class IV-B SD Negeri 060914 Kec. Medan Sunggal. The results of this study indicate an increase in student learning outcomes on the theme of the Area of My Residence Proud Subtema Against My Residence Area in class IV-B Public Elementary School 060914 Kec Medan Sunggal Learning Year 2018/2019. The results of the study in the first cycle of students who received complete grades as many as 16 students or 57% while students who did not complete 12 students or 43% with an average value of 68. In cycle II, namely students who get complete grades 26 students or 93% while students who do not complete as many as 2 students or 7% with an average value of 87,5 then an increase from the first cycle compared to the second cycle and has met the specified completeness . Furthermore, the teacher's activities in the observation cycle I obtained an average of 64% and in the second cycle increased to 90%. While the activities of students in the learning process cycle I obtained an average of 58 and the second cycle had experienced an increase of 82. The results of this study showed an increase in learning outcomes by using the Mind Mapping learning model on the theme of My Residence Area IV-B Public Elementary School 060914 Kec Medan Sunggal Learning Year 2018/2019

Abstract

The development of the 21st century world is marked by the use of information and communication technology in all facets of life. Utilization of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) through the internet in all fields, including in the education or learning process. Progress in the world of ICT changes many things, in the world of work that can be replaced by advances in the world of Internet technology of Thing (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Lecturers must have the ability to adapt to changes and technological development by changing the learning process so far the lecture is not only face-to-face, but can be done online in order to improve education access services. Internet as a result of technological developments certainly has an influence in the world of education, especially in the learning process that has changed conventional learning patterns into modern patterns based online with the use of Information Communication and Technology (ICT), known as E-Learning. Collaborative learning between conventional learning and ICT-based learning developed as collaborative learning or known as Blended Learning. In the management of Blended Learning learning is very effective, Blended Learning Learning is very effective to use because it provides easy accessibility of students wherever, whenever and wherever can be accessed in accordance with the required learning outcomes. Blended Learning learning resources are not fixated on lecturers in the course but can be from various sources, in the form of digital, video and other sources of information.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of fashion styles on increasing student interest in learning at PGSD Study Program in Quality University. The method used in this research is descriptive method using a survey form. The subjects used were used students of PGSD Study Program at the University of Quality TA 2017/2018. The survey shows that the clothing styles used by students can affect their learning interest. They are more eager to go to college and go to class because one of them is the clothes they use are more contemporary, fashionable, and still new. However, it is not uncommon for students who wear clothes that are old fashioned in their interest to go to college less enthusiastic and often also have an impact on their activities in the classroom

Abstract

The problem in this research is learning rarely uses media in learning,  students' mathematical understanding ability is still low in mathematics learning flat-build material, lack of learning media. This study aims to determine the relationship of the development of Macromedia Flash-assisted mathematics learning media related to flat material. This research method uses research and development (Research and Development). The 4-D device development model consists of 4 stages of development, namely Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate or adapted into a 4-D model, namely defining, designing, developing and disseminating. In the field trials the average pretest score is 68.24 while the average posttest score is 86.76. An average increase of 18.52. The minimum gain value is 0.62 while the maximum gain value is 1.00. In the test of the spread of the average pretest value is 60.33 while the average posttest score is 81.33. An average increase of 21. The minimum gain value is 0.77 while the maximum gain value is 0.83. Based on these data, the development of mathematics learning media assisted by macromedia flash has experienced a significant increase in students' mathematical understanding abilities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the context of education and training programs to improve pedagogical competence in PPPPTK Medan; (2) input of  education and training programs to improve pedagogical competence in PPPPTK Medan; (3) the process of education and training programs to improve pedagogical competence in PPPPTK Medan; (4) the results of education and  training programs to improve pedagogical competence in PPPPTK Medan. This research is an evaluation research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were education and training providers, widyaswara education and training programs for improving pedagogical competencies, training participants for improving pedagogical competencies in 2019. Data collection techniques used non-participant observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data validity test is done by triangulating methods and  data sources. Data analysis uses qualitative analysis of Miles and Huberman's model. The results of the study show the following. (1) The context of the Medan PPPPTK education and training program has fulfilled the existing requirements in government regulations regarding the implementation of education and training. The training provider needs to analyze the training target (participants) in accordance with the training objectives. (2) Enter the training program, that the curriculum is relevant to the needs and objectives of the training. The training organizer has analyzed the level of training needs of Pedagogical Competency Improvement participants according to the participants' interests. Education and training facilities available are able to support the implementation of education and training. (3) The process of the education and training program, which is related to the learning media used, has not yet fully supported the implementation  of the training. Teaching methods applied by teachers have not been implemented as planned. The implementation of the training was in accordance with the training schedule, but the material had not been conveyed to the fullest so there was a need for additional training time. (4) the quality of graduates from PPPPTK Medan can implement their pedagogical competencies. The number of graduates in 2019 has met the target of graduates

Abstract

The problem in this study is the students' writing essay writing skills that have not been maximized. One of the contributing factors is the learning model used is not in accordance with the learning material. The purpose of this study was to find out the implementation of Indonesian language learning by using Outdoor Study learning model and conventional methods learning in Writing Essay rhymes.The study was conducted at SDN 023905 Public Elementary School in Binjai utara on juli , 2019. The population of this study was all fifth grade students of SDN 023905 Binjai Utara, which numbered 64 people and at the same time became research samples divided into two parallel classes. Data collection tool used tests and data analysis consisting of testing hypotheses using the two average difference test. From the data analysis obtained the description essay writing skills of students using Outdoor Study model learning gained an average of 80.85 and the conventional learning method gained an average of 70.70. From the two data it can be concluded that the Writing Skills Writing rhymes on the Outdoor Study Learning method is better than using the Conventional method in class V SDN 023905 Binjai Utara Academic Year 2019/2020

Abstract

Character is an application of the value of goodness in which there is character, mental and moral qualities that must be applied and instilled in students so that they become beings who have good character and dignified personality. Therefore, character education is an important part in building a student's identity. Character development must be based on Pancasila values. Building the next generation of a nation with good character is the responsibility of all walks of life, because our true responsibility for education together, of course this is not an easy matter, therefore it requires awareness from all parties that character education is very important to be implemented. Seeing the phenomenon of the industrial era 4.0 is a challenge to pay attention to the character of students. The planting of nationalism based on Pancasila as the state ideology needs to be done to deal with potential threats in the future. The industrial revolution 4.0 was an era in which massive changes occurred in various fields and had a profound impact that could not be separated also in terms of the character development of elementary students. These characters which will become the basic capital of students can compete in the international and national world later. Especially in the face of the industrial revolution 4.0. Strong character also forms a formidable personality of students so that they are not easily influenced by negative things as the industrial revolution 4.0 goes on. Therefore, Pancasila must be implemented as early as possible in learning to make the character of elementary school students in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 much better

Abstract

This research entitles “The Analysis of Difficulties of Indonesian  Language for Foreign Speakers (ILFS) Students in Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, Uzbekistan toward 4 Language Skills”. There are some language skills, i.e.; (1) listening skills), (2) speaking skills, (3) reading skills, and (4) writing skills.These language skills are the basic of language uses. As a whole, the difficulties faced by students vary, such as intelligence physical and psychologist factors; intelligence, talent, interest, motivation, and ways of learning) and non-intelligence factors. There are internal and external factors as well (family, school, society factors). This study is to know; (1) what the most difficult language skills students understand, (2) the reasons of students at the difficulties in the language skills, and (3) how the students face their difficulties. The method of this study is descriptive, conducted in ILFS class of English Program and Translation Program at Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, Uzbekistan. The numbers of students are 35 (9 males and 26 females). The time of this study was semester II in 2019, and data was taken in March 2019. Technic of collecting data is using test and interview as well as the evaluation sheet in semester I as the diagnostic data of students’ difficulties toward 4 language skills. Data analysis consists of qualitative and quantitative. The lowest average mark is of listening (61.68), speaking (69.07), writing (71.89), and reading (76.29).From the questionnaires’ sheet given to the students, it can be concluded that; students like Indonesian language (85.71%), the pronunciation of Indonesian language is different to source language (65.71%), symbols/letters writing in Indonesian language is not different (80.00%), there is no difficulty in uttering Indonesian language words (77.14%), guidance book used in learning process is good and helpful Indonesia (91.43%), in listening, speaker speaks very fast (97.14%), difficulties in listening (94.29%), there is no difficulty in readingskills (85.71%), there is no difficulty in writing skills (80.00%), there is difficulty in speaking skills (71.43%), the most liked language skills in learning is reading (57.14%), the most hated language skills in learning is listening (94.29%), the most difficult language skills in learning is listening (88.57%), the easiest language skills in learning is reading (71.43%),and the students’ action facing the difficulties in learning Indonesian language is asking the teacher (85.71%). It is expected that the ILFS teaching concerns on students’ difficulties firstly and give motivation during the teaching process in order that the students are motivated to learn Indonesian language.

Abstract

This research purposed to measure the students’writing errors in report text so that it can find the kinds of errors that faced by the students in the writing of report text. The subject of this research were the students of grade X at SMA Negeri 1 Sei. Balai in academic year of 2015/2016. The population of the research were 105 students in three classes while the sample were 27 students. This research was conducted in descriptive research and the method in taking the sample was random sampling. The instruments for this researchwere observation and interview. The result of this study was that most students did errors in the word form. 11 students did errors in their construction in word form in writing report text and then followed by the errors in word choice. 10 students did errors in their word choice. Next, followed by error in punctuation. 9 students did error in the punctuation. It is suggested in teaching writing especially in writing report text, the teacher should put a serious intention in the part of word choice, word form, and also punctuation since these instruments are the most troublesome parts in this study of the students’ writing error
