Abstract

Abstract

Online teaching provides learners with more learning opportunities, but there are also many weaknesses that are not conducive to learning. Targeted instructional design can overcome the shortcomings of online learning and achieve better learning outcomes. In the teaching of legal courses at the China Open University Learning Center, blended teaching is guided by the principle of being closer to learners. Law course teachers strengthened the design of teaching activities in three aspects: In the construction of learning resources, content that is close to learners' lives is selected as much as possible to make learners feel familiar with the learning content; In the design of asynchronous learning activities, various strategies which actively guide teachers and facilitate learners' expression are adopted to increase learners' participation; In the design of real-time live teaching, digital tools are used to carry out interactive case teaching, which echoes asynchronous teaching activities and organically integrates dispersed learning activities, effectively improving the learning experience and enhancing learning effectiveness.

Abstract

For students, academic achievement is significant. In addition to providing motivation, academic achievement also makes it easier for students to continue to the next level of education. However, academic burnout and internet addiction sometimes prevent them from achieving academic achievement. Therefore, this study examined the relationship between academic burnout and internet addiction. This study also includes optimism as an intervention variable. The research method used in this study is quantitative with explanatory type. The population in this study were ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 11 Malang, with a sample of 72 students using the Slovin formula. Data were collected using a questionnaire, which was then distributed to respondents. One hundred fifteen respondents were obtained, and the results were then analyzed using partial least squares with the help of the SMART-PLS application. Direct and indirect results, such as overall academic burnout, hurt academic achievement and optimism. However, positive results were shown for internet addiction on academic achievement and optimism. This finding implies that excessive tasks and responsibilities lead to burnout and decreased academic performance. However, internet addiction in students can have a positive impact if used as a relevant learning resource.

Abstract

The research aims to see the improvement of Critical Thinking Skills through pictorial riddle learning. The research method used was classroom action research on mathematics and building cubes and blocks for 21 elementary school students in Pangandaran Regency. The instruments used are observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. This study adopted a quantitative data analysis method, including test sheets measuring students' critical thinking skills and teacher and student observation sheets. Based on the research results, it was found that There was an increase in students' Critical Thinking Skills by using the pictorial riddle learning model, as evidenced by the increase in students' motivation in the learning process, the courage to move forward, students' attention when the teacher explained, the courage to answer questions and student participation in the learning process. This can also be seen from cycle I, with an average score of 74.2 or as many as 10 students who completed out of 21 students with a percentage of (57.1%), then experienced an increase in cycle II with an average of 91.4 or as many as 18 of 21 students completed the percentage (85.7%). The N-Gain criterion value was 0.87>0.7 with high criteria. Thus, the Pictorial Riddle Learning Model can improve students' critical thinking skills in mathematics in elementary schools very well.

Abstract

This study investigated the influence of learning commitment and parental involvement on the self-regulated learning of senior high school students of BiƱan Integrated National High School, SY 2021-2022. A descriptive correlational research design sought to establish findings to be used as a foundation for a self-regulated learning model that can be adopted in the advent of face-to-face learning in the new normal. The findings indicated that the students indicated a strong learning commitment, a high level of parental involvement, and a high level of self-regulated learning. As significant relationships between variables were regressed, the resulting model revealed that learning commitment, as an individual predictor, has the most substantial positive influence on all dimensions of self-regulated learning. The combined effect of parental involvement negated the influence of learning commitment on dimensions of self-regulated learning in terms of environment structuring, task strategies and help-seeking strategies. Coordinating time and vitality through self-regulated learning will result in a more compelling and fulfilling encounter, which may boost self-efficacy and inspiration. The study provides an adoptable model to optimize self-regulated learning, which is a skill set that may be taught and may be able to assist students in setting specific goals for themselves and evaluating their progress. Students who can self-regulate are more proactive and less reactive in their learning.
