Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is an important aspect in the work environment, especially in the parking sector which has a high risk of accidents. This study aims to analyze the effect of worker awareness and supervision on compliance with K3 standards in the Plaza Kenari Mas parking area. The research method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis and strategy evaluation through SWOT analysis. Data were collected through a survey of 30 parking workers using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the study showed that worker awareness factors have a significant effect on K3 compliance with a regression coefficient of 0.208. Supervision also plays an important role in increasing compliance with a higher regression coefficient, namely 0.324. The results of the statistical test support this finding, where the t-test shows that both awareness and supervision have a significant effect on worker compliance with K3 standards (t count = 2.103 and 2.608 greater than t table). The SWOT analysis identified that the optimal strategy to improve K3 implementation includes regular training, increased supervision, provision of safety facilities, and implementation of incentives and sanctions. Thus, this study concludes that increased worker awareness and tighter supervision from management can improve compliance with OHS standards. The implication of this study is the need for more effective managerial policies in implementing OHS systems, including optimizing training, supervision, and regulation to create a safer and more productive work environment in the parking sector.   Keywords: Occupational Safety and Health (OHS), SWOT, Linear Regression.

Abstract

PT. Primayudha Mandirijaya is a manufacturing company operating in the textile sector. Customer satisfaction is the main goal. Therefore, production quality always comes first. However, there are problems in making this happen, namely that there are often defects in spools of 20s polyester, because these defects greatly exceed the production limit set by the company, namely 5% of total production. The aim of this research is to find out directly the problems that occur in the production process, as well as to find out the resolution of problems that occur on winding machines. To make this happen, the Statistical Quality Control method is used. To determine the possibility of failure, the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis method is used. The results of research using the Statistical Quality Control method, the defect rate of 44.67% in Stitch can be reduced to 43.97% and the defect rate of 36.07% in Swelled Package can be reduced to 29.36%. In the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis method, the factors causing defects are influenced by a lack of attention to components and maintenance on the machine, so the maintenance team is recommended to carry out regular check-ups on the condition of the machine every day. Before repairs were carried out, total defects from January to September reached 68,231.52 or 5.28% of production output. After improvements, the number of defects decreased in October to 6,831.72 or 4.53%. Thus, this research is able to reduce defects in spools of 20s polyester thread by 0.75%. Abstract

PT. XYZ is a bakery industrial company founded in 1992 with employees consisting of only 5 people with new types of bread consisting of 5 types, namely round bread with cheese filling, round bread with chocolate filling, bread with chocolate banana filling, bread with cheese banana filling, and bread with meat filling. The bread that is made is smaller than bread in general, so it is better known as unyil bread. In 2018 PT. XYZ managed to sell around 2,167,250 pcs, in 2019 total sales decreased by 107,225 or around 5.21%. In 2020 the decline was quite significant, namely 481,332 pcs or 30.48%. In 2021 there will still be a decline of 327,945 or 26.22%. One of the factors thought to have caused the decline in sales at PT. XYZ is consumer dissatisfaction. This research aims to evaluate the level of customer satisfaction with service quality at Roti Unyil Bakery (PT. The research results show that the Assurance and Reliability dimensions have the highest satisfaction scores, while the Responsiveness and Empathy dimensions require improvement to increase customer satisfaction. Based on IPA analysis, several service attributes are in the improvement priority quadrant, indicating the need to improve aspects of customer service. This research provides strategic recommendations for PT. XYZ improves service quality to retain consumers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and optimize the workflow in the sheet metal fabrication production process using FlexSim simulation software. The research focuses on a manufacturing company engaged in sheet metal fabrication, covering the entire process from raw material arrival to finished products. By utilizing FlexSim, this study seeks to significantly improve production efficiency and reduce cycle time. The tools used in this research include FlexSim for workflow modeling and simulation, as well as statistical analysis software to evaluate the simulation results. The data analyzed includes process time at each workstation, waiting time between stages, production capacity, and resource utilization. Through modeling and simulation, this study successfully identifies bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the production workflow. Based on the simulation results, the implemented optimization strategies lead to a 25% increase in production efficiency and a 15% reduction in cycle time. The optimization strategies involve improving facility layout, adjusting workforce allocation, and rescheduling production to minimize waiting time and enhance workflow. Thus, this study demonstrates that using FlexSim as a simulation tool provides deeper insights into the sheet metal fabrication process and supports data-driven decision-making to improve overall production system performance.    Keywords: Sheet Metal Fabrication, FlexSim, Simulation, Work Flow, Optimization, Production Efficiency

Abstract

The problem in transportation is the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP), the delivery process of bread production at PT. XYZ is known to have not implemented an optimal distribution system. The purpose of writing this thesis is to create a VRP model for the distribution route in PT XYZ, completing it using the saving matrix, nearest insert and nearest neighbour methods. The saving matrix method  uses the saving value, the nearest insert method  adds a new point to the existing route, while the nearest neighbour method  considers the nearest distance. The calculation carried out using the VRP model with the saving matrix method  resulted in a distance saving of 82.284 km, then the nearest insert resulted in a distance saving of 93.829 km, and the nearest neighbor resulted in the  largest distance saving, namely 94.406 km, with vehicle route 1 Factory-Wonokerto-Pringlangu-Landungsari-Poncol-Factory, vehicle route 2 is Factory-Grogol-Talang-Adiwerna-Slawi-Factory, vehicle route 3 is Factory-Poso-Randugunting-Kraton-Factory, and vehicle route 4 is Factory-Mejasem-Kemantran-Brebes-Factory. The proposed distribution route received the largest decrease, which was 94.406 km, initially the company's mileage was 285.414 km. The calculation of the route saving percentage is 33% and saves costs of Rp. 235,284 thus the optimal route.

Abstract

DRA Component Persada is a manufacturing company that produces various types of bolts. The main problem faced by companies is unstable fluctuations in demand, so that sometimes there is a buildup of stock or a shortage of inventory in the warehouse. The aim of this research is to analyze forecasting demand and supply of bolt products at PT. Dra Component Persada. To overcome this, this research uses the Time Series forecasting method which includes Moving Average, Weight Moving Average, and Exponential Smoothing to determine future demand and the Safety Stock method to overcome demand instability. From the results of calculations carried out by the author, the Exponential Smoothing model with a = 0.2 is the optimal forecasting model with the smallest error level, namely with a Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) of 1,218,085, a Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 1,886,215,000,000 , and the Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) is 2.74%. The forecast for the coming period is predicted to be 4,440,637 pcs, while the safety stock required is 393,215 pcs with a service level of 95%. It is hoped that the application of forecasting and safety stock methods can increase stock management efficiency and better meet customer needs.

Abstract

RIMOI KOPI was established as cafe at once manufacturers engaged in the field of food especially of coffee powder. In the production process, there is often a large number of defective products, if this allowed to happen it will result in a loss of consumer trust. Therefore, the aim of quality control is to find out the common ground that causes defective production. This quality control process using Seven Tools method which functions to control the product quality and reduce defective products. The results obtained in this study found two different types of defects in the coffee packaging, such as miscutting and seal damage. From two different types of the defective, it can be seen that seal damage defects are more dominant with higher percentage 86%, while miscutting defects has percentage 72%. The proposed improvements include checking the sealer machine, checking and maintaining machines more regularly, checking and evaluating the methods applied and improving the sealer machine to be able seal the coffee powder packaging and reduce the defective products.

Abstract

PT. Primajasa Perdanaraya Utama is a company engaged in the public transportation sector, offering various services such as intercity and interprovincial transport, inner-city routes, taxi services, tourism transport, and employee shuttles. In its operations, the company has been facing inventory management issues due to the absence of an effective policy in regulating stock levels and requirements. This has led to overstocking, which in turn increases the total inventory holding costs. To address this problem, the company implemented the ABC classification method to prioritize inventory items based on their significance, along with the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to determine the most cost-efficient order quantity. The results from the EOQ analysis revealed that the total inventory cost for category A bus transmission spare parts could be reduced to IDR 48,634,982, resulting in savings of IDR 6,374,321 compared to the actual conditions. The implementation of this method achieved an efficiency improvement of 11.59%, demonstrating that this approach significantly contributes to reducing excess inventory and enhancing overall inventory management effectiveness.

Abstract

PT Raja Jeva Nisi RPA Nusantara is a chicken slaughtering company whose production process starts from live chickens to high-quality products such as Fresh chicken carcasses, broiler chicken, Frozen food, and other processed chicken products. In the production process there is an excess of Fresh chicken raw materials in May 2024 of 590 heads which are allocated to the warehouse to be produced at a later date which causes a buildup of Fresh chicken raw materials and increased inventory costs. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of demand for Fresh chicken in accordance with market needs and to determine the planning of inventory control of fresh chicken raw materials in increasing cost efficiency at PT Raja Jeva Nisi RPA Nusantara. Then the results of forecasting to determine the level of demand for fresh chicken for 1 year, namely November 2023 to October 2024 amounting to 129,470 fresh chickens. Then, the second step is the calculation of safety stock to facilitate production activities, the proposed safety stock given to PT Raja Jeva Nisi RPA Nusantara is a service level of 95% of 952 heads / month and the reorder point of fresh chicken is carried out when the amount of inventory in the warehouse has reached the level of 11,850 heads for a service level of 95%. While the results of the calculation of lot sizing techniques in planning raw material inventory control obtained the most efficient total cost of Rp. 37,006,752 with the POQ method.

Abstract

PT Sicer Indonesia is a ceramic manufacturer company which is produce various types of products such as Glaze, Engobe and Medium. Observations were made on the Titanium Frit (Glaze) production section and Quality Control results. This research aims to determine the factors that cause defects in products, determine corrective actions and reduce the number of product defects. Defects that often occur in Titanium Frit are Less White, Pinhole, Blackspot and Yellowish. Where the largest percentage of defects was in February at 43.2%. Therefore, effective quality control efforts are needed. In this research, the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) methods were used to identify and analyze defects that occurred. FMEA is used to determine and multiply the severity level, occurrence level and detection level, to obtain a Risk Priority Number (RPN) value which can determine the priority of defects that must be prioritized for repair. The highest RPN defect value is the Pinhole defect with RPN 448.. FTA is used to find out the root cause of the defect that occurs. The main factors causing defects in the Titanium Frit production process consist of 4 factors, human factors are caused by workers who do not work according to SOP, lack of machine maintenance, unstable material quality, and environmental contamination. The results or quality improvement actions taken are carrying out consistent supervision to ensure that workers have worked according to the SOP and carrying out maintenance on materials and machines as a whole regularly before use.
