Abstract

Gastritis is a disease that is generally suffered by the community due to several factors, for example, irregular eating patterns, lifestyle and one of them is the increasing activity of the community so that they do not have time to regulate their diet. This makes Swamedication 3 an alternative that is often taken by the community to deal with gastritis complaints, but the lack of basic knowledge about correct Gastritis self-medication often results in medication errors (Medication errors). This study aims to determine the level of consumer knowledge about doen antacid self-medication at the Narisa Pharmacy which will be carried out in March 2023 at the Narisa Pharmacy, Makassar City. This type of research uses descriptive methods, namely research that includes surveys with data collection in the form of questionnaires with a total of 52 respondents. The sampling technique uses a nonprobability sampling technique, namely saturated sampling. the results of this study indicate that the percentage of respondents' answers is 92.69%. Based on these results it can be concluded that the level of consumer knowledge about doen antacid self-medication at the Narisa Pharmacy is included in the good category.

Abstract

Coughing is a natural response by increasing the clearance of mucus secretions and particles, irritants, foreign particles, and microbes, so that it becomes the body's defense mechanism. Self-medication practitioners must know about synthetic drugs and traditional medicines used to treat coughs. This study aims to determine the level of self-medication knowledge of synthetic cough medicines and a list of traditional medicines used by the Insignia Oasis housing community which will be held in March 2023 at Insignia Oasis Housing. The type of research used is descriptive observational research using a questionnaire to obtain data with a total of 56 respondents. The results of this study indicate that the percentage of respondents' answers is 89.91%. Based on these results it can be concluded that the level of self-medication knowledge of synthetic cough medicine and the list of traditional medicines used by the Insignia Oasis housing community is in the high category and uses ginger the most.

Abstract

The pineapple plant, Ananas comocus (L) Merr, has growing shoots at the base that grow into a midrib. The sword-like leaves are strong and substantial. For defecation, the bromelin enzyme, which is contained in pineapples, is frequently used as a laxative (constipation). The purpose of this study was to ascertain the laxative effects of pineapple flesh (Ananas comocus (L) Merr.) extract and the dosages at which it was effective. The Pharmacology Laboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Pancasakti University, used an experimental study design. In this investigation, 25 mice were employed, split into 5 groups, starved for 1 hour, and then given loperamide to induce behavior. Na. CMC was used as a negative control in the first group, pineapple flesh extract was utilized in the second, third, and fourth groups at doses of 100 mg, 300 mg, and 500 mg, and dulcolactol was used as a positive control in the third and fifth groups. The Kruskal-Wallis test was used to examine the study's data and findings. According to the study's findings, pineapple flesh extract has a laxative effect. A dose of 500 mg is the laxative that works the best, with an average 2,1

Abstract

Pain is a form of emotional sensory discomfort associated with risk or damage to body tissues, this can arise when tissues are being damaged. The classification of pain is generally divided into two, namely acute pain and chronic pain. The treatment often used for acute pain (analgetic-anti-inflammatory) is ibuprofen. However, ibuprofen if consumed in the long term can cause some side effects for the body. The purpose of this study was to find candidates for medicinal ingredients from 96 compounds found in garlic bulbs (Allium sativum L.) as analgetic-anti-inflammatory. This research method uses experimental methods in silico which include molecular docking and molecular dynamics. The results of this study show that UBP20 compounds (tetracycline) have better toxicity than ibuprofen, as well as produce interactions that can be stabilized by the amino acids ARG120 and TYR355. Based on molecular dynamic results, UBP20 compounds have RMSD values of ±2.32 Å and ∆GTOTAL values of -24.27 kcal / mol. While Ibuprofen has an RMSD value of ±2.46 Å and ∆GTOTAL -35.21 kcal / mol. So it can be concluded that UBPP20 compounds have stable interactions with 1EQG receptors that can be used as candidates for analgetic-anti-inflammatory drugs, but do not yet have a lower ∆GTOTAL value than Ibuprofen (comparison drug).

Bung Rt 003 Rw 001 Tamalanrea Jaya Village, Tamalanrea District, Makassar City. This type of research uses a descriptive method, namely research that includes surveys with data collection in the form of questionnaires with a total of 79 respondents. The sampling technique uses a non-probability sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. The results of this research show that the percentage of respondents' answers is 91.45%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the level of public knowledge regarding self-medication with over-the-counter drugs and over-the-counter drugs is included in the high category.

Abstract

Body immunity is an immune system designed to detect or destroy foreign objects that enter the body to avoid disease. Immunity is important to maintain so that the body remains healthy, one way is by consuming natural ingredients or preparations to increase body immunity. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile study of the use of natural materials and immune-enhancing preparations in Politeknik Sandi Karsa students. This type of research uses a descriptive method, namely research that includes surveys with data collection in the form of questionnaires with a total of 69 respondents. The sampling method uses Non Probability Sampling with Purposive Sampling techniques using questionnaires using the Opened Questionare questionnaire format in data collection and report recording. The results of this study show that there are still students who use natural ingredients in the form of ginger, lemongrass, honey, ginger, moringa leaves, turmeric and life connection leaves while the body's immunity-enhancing preparations are used such as vitamin C, immunos, stimuno, imboost force, vit Bcom-Z and Bcom and reject wind. So it can be concluded that the Profile Study of the Use of Natural Ingredients and Immune Enhancing Preparations in Sandi Karsa Polytechnic Students who use natural ingredients in the form of ginger is 20 respondents (29.00%) and immune boosting preparations using vitamin C are 19 respondents (27.55%).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential hyperglycemia of the combination of Watermelon Skin Extract (Citrullus lanatus) and Red Dragon Fruit Skin Extract (Hylocereus polyrhizus). The research method used is the alloxane induction method. Rats were divided into 5 groups, namely positive control given metformin 45 mg / Kg BB, negative control given Na. CMC 1% w/v, and variations of test groups given combination extracts with concentration variations of 6% and 13.4%; 9% and 16.4%; and 12% and 19.4% then each group was induced alloxane at a dose of 24 mg / 200g BB. The results of the study on the negative control given NaCMC 1% did not show a decrease in blood sugar levels, in the positive control given metformin 45 mg / KgBB showed an average percent decrease of 94.12%, in the combination extract test group with a dose of 6% and 13.4% showed an average percent decrease of 25.04%; 9% and 16.4% % showed an average percent decrease of 24.69%; and 12% and 19.4% % showed an average percent decrease of 55.61%. Based on the results of this study, a combination extract of 12% and 19.4% can reduce blood sugar levels of white rats. This study proved that red watermelon peel extract and red dragon fruit peel extract have antihyperglycemia effects.
