Abstract

Abstract   Objective: Destination brand equity is a collection of assets and liabilities of a brand that add or subtract value from a product or service to a company or its customers. Destination brand equity plays a significant role in the characteristics and segmentation of tourist destinations and in increasing tourist loyalty and revenues derived from the destination. Three variables can influence destination brand equity: destination brand awareness, association, and image. This study aims to determine destination brand equity, namely, destination brand awareness, destination brand association, destination brand image, and destination brand equity. Design/Methods/Approach: This study uses a library research method with three main stages: 1) Planning a literature review by determining the research topic through journal searches and academic discussions. 2) Conducting a literature review by collecting and analyzing literature sources related to coffee farmers' income, welfare levels, and food security. 3) Reporting a literature review, namely compiling the results of literature findings systematically based on themes and patterns found in the literature. Findings: This study emphasizes the importance of destination brand awareness, association, and image in building destination brand equity. Originality/Value: This study offers a new perspective on understanding destination brand equity by comprehensively highlighting the role of destination brand awareness, destination brand association, and destination brand image. With a systematic literature study approach, this study contributes to developing a conceptual framework that can be used for further research and provides insight for practitioners in tourism destination management strategies. Practical/Policy implications: Company management recommendations should focus on destination brand awareness, destination brand association, and destination brand image in building the company's destination brand equity. The limitations of this study lie in the limited scope of variables, so further research is needed to obtain other variables with in-depth discussions.   Keywords:Brand; Awareness; Association; Image; Equity

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the impact of credit risk on banking financial performance, focusing on State-Owned Banks (BUMN) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2022-2024. Credit risk, measured using the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio, is the main independent variable, while banking financial performance is measured using Return On Asset (ROA) as the dependent variable. Other relevant control variables such as Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Operating Costs to Operating Income (BOPO), and Net Interest Margin (NIM) are also considered to provide a comprehensive picture. Based on the literature review, it is generally anticipated that credit risk will have a significant negative relationship with financial performance. However, previous studies have shown mixed findings, including insignificant or even positive relationships in some contexts. This study will contribute to clarifying this relationship in the post-COVID-19 pandemic context in Indonesia, especially for state-owned banks that have a strategic role in the national economy.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the strategic position of PT Eksonindo Multi Product Industry (PT EMPI), a national manufacturing firm, while simultaneously exploring the pedagogical value of Project-Based Learning (PBL) in strategic management education. The research seeks to contribute empirical insights into how structured strategy models can be applied in real business contexts and translated into practical decision-making processes. Design/Methods/Approach: The research adopts a qualitative descriptive method using a case study approach. Data were collected from student projects involving interviews, company documents, and reflective journals, all structured according to Fred R. David’s three-stage model—input, matching, and decision. Strategic analysis tools used include IFE, EFE, Strategic Group Mapping (SGM), SWOT, SPACE, and QSPM. Findings: The results indicate that PT EMPI is in a favorable strategic position, supported by strong internal capabilities and attractive external opportunities. The company is best suited to adopt an aggressive growth strategy, with market penetration emerging as the most attractive option based on the QSPM analysis. The SGM illustrates the company’s position in a high-differentiation, mid-to-high price cluster, supporting its competitive orientation. Additionally, the use of real-world cases enhanced students’ ability to apply theory to practice, improving their analytical, collaborative, and reflective skills. Originality/Value: This study offers an integrative perspective by combining strategic analysis with experiential learning. It showcases how students can engage in applied strategy formulation through real business projects, contributing to both academic literature and teaching practices in management education. Practical/Policy implication: The findings provide valuable insights for SMEs on how to use structured strategy tools for decision-making and highlight the effectiveness of academic–industry collaboration. The research also demonstrates the practical value of integrating real cases into university curricula to build future-ready managerial skills.
