Tense is a part of English grammar that becomes something difficult to understand by students. Therefore, it needs interesting and creative learning media to face that problem. This research purposes to evaluate and analyze the implementation of Kahoot as a digital learning media in improving students’ understanding about tenses in higher education. There were 15 students in Civic Department of Education Faculty in Universitas Tompotika Luwuk as the sample of this research. Mix method in concurrent embedded strategy design was chosen as methodology of research. Quantitative data was collected through test, while qualitative data was collected by observation and interview. Hypothesis testing and descriptive analysis was conducted as analyzing technique. The quantitative result found that there was the improvement of students’ study result about tenses from pretest to posttest. The value of t-count (9,5176) which is greater than the value of t-table (2,048) is the proof. Moreover, quantitative result was supported by qualitative analysis result. It was proved by students’ achievement towards understanding indicators, namely translation, interpretation, and extrapolation. This research expected becomes contribution for the teachers and learners for implemented Kahoot as an interesting and creative learning media.

Vocational High Schools (SMK) are designed to prepare students or graduates who are ready to enter the workforce and are able to develop professional attitudes in their fields. In addition, graduates are required to develop themselves in the path of entrepreneurship, so they can advance in entrepreneurship even in whatever conditions and situations. This policy was adopted after seeing the fact that most of the educated unemployed are secondary education graduates, which can be interpreted as a lack of secondary education graduates' skills to enter the workforce. One of the expertise programs for creating educated graduates at secondary schools is the tourism program. Seeing these conditions, it is necessary to evaluate the implementation of the 2013 curriculum policy on the travel business expertise program. This study uses a program evaluation method with a qualitative approach. The results of this study can be concluded that the evaluation of the program in the context component is in the category of "very good". Likewise, the results of evaluating the implementation of a productive curriculum in the travel business expertise program, the input components include curriculum programs, management of educators and education staff, management of financing and management of the education calendar in the "very good" category. The results of evaluating the curriculum implementation process of productive subjects in business travel expertise in the process components include the planning of the learning process, the implementation of the process, learning, assessment, and supervision of the learning process. The results of the evaluation of the implementation of the curriculum implementation of productive subjects expertise travel business expertise in the process component with the category of "very good". The results of the evaluation of the product component of the travel business expertise program at SMK Negeri 4 Matara with the "very good" category.

Guided Discovery Learning is a learning model that is considered capable of improving student learning outcomes while Self-efficacy is self-confidence in an individual’s abilities. This study aims to determine the effect of guided discovery learning model and self-efficacy towards student learning outcomes in biology class. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental. This study has a sample of 200 students from 256 students. The technique used is Cluster random sampling. The instruments used are multiple choices and questionnaire. Data from the three variables are analysed using the Two-Way ANOVA Test and the Tukey Test, at a significance level of 0.005. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that Guided Discovery Learning model and an individual’s self-efficacy can improve student learning outcomes. Both Guided Discovery Learning model and self-efficacy can improve student learning outcomes and have positive interactions between the two variables. The implications of this study are as a basis for increasing the use of learning models using technology, and teachers as educators are able to encourage students to improve self-efficacy.

Number sense can vary from person to person, number sense variations can be caused by learning experiences of mathematics, mathematical abilities, and cognitive styles. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to determine the number sense profile of grade V SD students in terms of the field-dependent and field-independent cognitive styles on fraction material. So the research begins by giving a math ability test, cognitive style test, and number sense test. The subjects of this study were fifth-grade students of SDN Ngagel Rejo V Surabaya with field-dependent and field-independent styles with equivalent math abilities. Data collection was continued with the number sense test, and interviews and checks using time triangulation. The results showed that students with a field-independent cognitive style tended to use logical reasoning and actively processed information and were able to simplify complex problems well. They also have a high of number sense so that they can answer and describe answers based on their analytical skills. For example, when comparing the concept of numbers, they can show that there is another fraction or decimal between two fractions or decimals. Whereas students in the field-dependent cognitive style only compare the values of the two fractions or decimals, which means they have difficulty separating and distinguishing objects. simple of complex objects. They also tend to do conventional learning such as doing multiplication using a pencil and writing on paper and cannot analyze a thing or question with an estimate or approach. Therefore, students' cognitive styles must be learned and aligned with existing teaching strategies in several schools. Teaching adjustments that are in line with students' cognitive styles are needed to improve student performance.

The study was aimed to find out if there is a significant difference between the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Banda Aceh who are taught vocabulary by using wall chart and those who are taught without using wall chart. The experiment was from conducted from from March 5th, 2018 to May 8th, 2018. 2018 at SMP Negeri 4 Banda Aceh. This study is conducted by using quantitative research and in this case is an experimental study. The population of this study is all students of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Banda Aceh in academic year 2017/2018. The total population is 115 students who are composed of five classes; class VIII1, class VIII2, class VIII3, class VIII4, and class VIII5. While the sample of this study is taken from two classes of the five classes. One class is as an experimental group and one another is as control group. In this study, the students of class VIII5 are taken as experimental group and the students of class VIII4 are taken as control group. Every group consists of 30 students thus the total sample is 60. Choosing class as experimental and control group is done randomly. The data were gotten through test; pre-test and post test. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 18.0. The result of the study shows that there is a significant difference between the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Banda Aceh who are taught vocabulary by using wall chart and those who are taught without using wall chart. It can be proven from the result of this study where the result of t-test of post-test of the both group is 3.028. While the result of t-table with the level of significance 0,05 is 0,668. Thus, t-test (3.028) is greater than the t-table (0,668). Based on the result of the study, English teachers of SMP Negeri 4 Banda Aceh especially those who teach vocabulary should implement Wall Charts in teaching and learning process because the implementation of the media can increase the students’ vocabulary mastery.
