Abstract

Durian is a popular fruit native to Southeast Asia, even labeled as the king of fruits. Currently, both fresh and processed durians have been very well received by the public in both local and export markets [1]. However, it is not uncommon for durians purchased in poor quality, such as bland taste, rotten, or immature [2]. Therefore, a method to identify the quality of durian is needed. One of the durian elements that can be used to identify its quality is the shape and texture of its outer skin. The object discussed in this paper is the relationship between the fractal dimensions of durian skin image and the sugar content of durian flesh. Its fractal dimensions are searched using the box-counting method. The box-counting method is used to calculate fractal dimensions with the fractal object placed in a box area. Then it is calculated by how many boxes are needed to cover all the fractal parts. The relationship was then analyzed using the coefficient of determination. The results of the analysis produce an R-Square value of 0,029333. The R-Square value obtained shows that the fractal dimension of the texture of the durian skin does not significantly affect the sugar content of the durian flesh.

Abstract

Orchids are epiphytic plants with high popularity. Orchid is a plant that can process its own nutrients with the help of other media. Parameters that need to be monitored include air temperature, air humidity, and soil moisture. These parameters greatly affect plant growth. Plants can grow well if humidity, temperature, and light intensity are met properly. Good orchid humidity ranges from 50 – 80%. Humidity should not be too high at night and not too low during the day. In addition to humidity, the temperature where you plant orchids must also be maintained. The ideal temperature for orchids is daytime temperatures between 27-30 degrees Celsius and night temperatures between 21-24 degrees Celsius. Based on these problems, a Design and Development Tool for Monitoring Soil Temperature and Moisture on the Growth of Indoor Orchid Plants is Based on WeMos with Indoor Energy. In this design, the results of sensor readings will be displayed in the form of data which will be accessed via the web server on WeMos. To read the temperature, air humidity, and soil moisture, several sensors are used, namely: DHT 22, soil moisture sensor, and a relay connected to a mini water pump using an indoor cultivation method where the energy source uses UV waves by LED light. From the results of the implementation and testing, the growth period will be obtained more faster than the normal cultivation. hopefully, this research will help people who care for orchid plants to be able to monitor their orchid plants efficiently in indoor conditions so that these orchid plants can always be in the best conditions of temperature, light, and soil moisture.

Abstract

The SIBISA (Sistem Informasi Billing Siswa) application is utilized by parents at ABA1 Kindergarten in Buduran. Developed in 2022 by lecturers from the Informatics Engineering department, this application is designed to help schools manage financial records, particularly those related to tuition fees and other incidental expenses. The End User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) method is one approach used to evaluate user satisfaction with information systems, including the SIBISA application. This method assesses various factors that influence user satisfaction, such as application performance, ease of use, and reliability. Notably, the SIBISA application is integrated with WhatsApp, facilitating easier communication between parents and the school. After nearly a year of use, our group conducted a user satisfaction survey using the EUCS method to gauge the application's effectiveness. The results indicate that overall user satisfaction with the SIBISA application is at the "Quite Satisfied" level, meaning users generally find the application satisfactory. The analysis confirms that all five hypotheses—accuracy, content, ease of use, format, and timeliness—positively influence user satisfaction with the SIBISA application.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology to meet the growing demands of projects, particularly in public administration organizations like e-government, faces various resource constraints. Selecting among dozens or even hundreds of alternative projects and portfolios, while aligning with organizational priorities, presents a complex multi-criteria decision-making challenge. This study explores the use of previous research and IS/IT portfolio management techniques to examine project prioritization practices and methods within successful city-level applications. The study further develops a prioritization model by comparing the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) methods. The priority levels of nodes (elements) and clusters obtained from the AHP and ANP analyses show relatively insignificant differences; however, the normalized values (eigenvectors) derived from the ANP approach more realistically reflect existing realities. The ANP model offers the advantage of building connections between elements and clusters, enabling feedback analysis, and is considered more effective in bridging the gap between the model and real-world decision-making.

Abstract

Undergraduate alumni play a crucial role in shaping the educational process at higher education institutions. Therefore, it is essential to continuously assess the satisfaction of graduate users to gauge their level of contentment. This research aims to measure graduate user satisfaction through gap analysis by comparing user expectations with the actual performance of graduates based on the five dimensions of the SERVQUAL model. The study combines the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), which calculates satisfaction gaps, with Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), used to map the five dimensions of service quality and prioritize improvements. The results indicate that the graduate user satisfaction index is 78%, placing it in the "satisfied" category. Satisfaction is particularly high in the dimensions of reliability and empathy. However, several variables show a gap between high user expectations and underperformance, particularly in the areas of assurance and responsiveness.

Abstract

Teeth are one of the calcified and hard structures found in the human mouth. One of the tooth defects that often appears and is experienced by several people in the world is damage caused by dental caries. Diseases that can arise from dental caries include swelling of the gums and fever in the body. To classify and determine the level of damage in dental disease, dentists usually utilise examinations through dental panoramic images. Dental panoramic images are digital images of x-rays that can help provide a lot of information about teeth such as cavities or tooth structure. However, the problem that occurs sometimes to identify or classify the type of caries is still found to be a mismatch of analysis so that technological aids are needed to provide analysis or decision support. Therefore, by applying digital image processing technology by applying methods in image processing, namely Watershed segmentation and the Multiclass Support Vector Machine method, it is possible to classify the type of caries using dental panoramic images. From the results of the research conducted, it can be explained that the results of segmentation of dental panoramic images using the Watershed method can show the detected caries area spots. Meanwhile, the use of the Multiclass SVM method for the classification method shows accuracy results reaching 88%.

Abstract

The pump starting current can be up to 500% to 800% higher than normal current. Besides raising the electricity bill, a very high current surge at starting can cause damage to other electronic components. This study aims to implement a soft starter that functions to reduce the electrical power required to start the pump up. To measure electrical variables while the pump is working, the PZEM-004t sensor is used as a voltage, current, and energy sensor. The sensor has been validated and has an accuracy of 99.63% for current measures and 99.87% for voltage measures. In addition, to increase the efficiency of agricultural yields, a monitoring system for soil moisture in the fields is also applied with pest control technology. The soil moisture sensor YL-69, which has been validated with an accuracy of 98.27% is used to measure soil moisture in agricultural land. Specifically, this monitoring system utilizes solar electricity, which is abundant in open areas, while the pump system still uses grid electricity. Those two systems are then integrated using an android application. The results of this study found that the use of a soft starter can reduce current up to 20.64% with a 3A motor and 15.32% with a 1.7A motor.
