Abstract

There are three strategies carried out by religious leaders in educating religious harmony in their people, especially those related to external harmony.First, the strategy of educating people in the internal harmony of religious people. In this case all religious leaders each agreed to foster their people to live in harmony and peace. Of course this direction is in accordance with the teachings of the respective books. Second, the strategy of educating their people to get along with other fellow religions. They try their best so that every people always respect and respect other religions, they cannot force the will of their religion, they must not mutilate each other and also not harm other religious people. This is also stated in the scriptures in each religion. Third, the strategy of educating the people to get along well with the government. all religious teachings order that they always have good relations and respect for their government. This is because all realize that we live in the same country, namely the Indonesian state in one power and government. So respecting, respecting and fulfilling government rules is a must. The strategy to maintain the integrity of the NKRI was also agreed upon by all religious leaders. They agreed that if the basis of the Indonesian state is Pancasila, don't change it again. This is because so far what can unite all religious teachings in Indonesia is Pancasila. For this reason the NKRI is intact and will remain intact if all religions maintain the Pancasila.

Abstract

Abstract: Islamic boarding school as a native educational institution of Indonesia, has a education system. Implementation of the education system grows and builds the values of character in the nation and state. This can be proven; the life process built in Islamic boarding school contains the value of togetherness, democracy, mutual respect andtolerance among each other. This sense of togetherness and mutual respect are the foundation of the diversity of Indonesian. This condition can be established because the value of Pancasila (Five Principals) as a reflection in living life in boarding school has been implemented there for years. But now, Islamic boarding school is facing the modernization in the education system. But this change due to modernization will not diminish the value of native boarding school since the it has the elements such usIslamic scholars, the students of Islamic boarding school itself, the Quranic Yellow Book and mosques become the central of education which are deeply rooted in the system of education itself. Abstrak:Pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan asli Indonesia, memiliki sistem pendidikan yang dinamis. Pelaksanaan sistem pendidikannya menumbuhkan dan membangun nilai-nilai karakter dalam berbangsa dan bernegara. Ini dapat dibuktikan, proses kehidupan yang dibangun di pesantren terkandung nilai kebersamaan, demokrasi, saling menghargai dan toleransi antara sesamanya. Rasa kebersamaan dan saling menghargai ini lah yang menjadi pondasi dari keberagaman bangsa Indenesia. Kondisi ini bisa terjalin karena di pondokpesantren memiliki panca jiwa sebagai refleksi dalam menjalani kehidupan di pondok pesantren. Menghadapi modernisasi pesantren mengalami “perubahan” dalam sistem pendidikannya. Namun perubahan ini tidak memudarkan kecirikhasan pondok pesantren. Karena unsur di dalamnya yang terdiri dari kiai, santri, kitab kuning serta masjid yang menjadi sentral pendidikannya sangat mengakar dalam sistem pendidikannya. Dalam menghadapi modernisasi pesantren mengalami “perubahan” dalam sistem pendidikannya. Namun perubahan ini tidak memudarkan kecirikhasan pondok pesantren. Karena unsur di dalamnya terdiri dari kiai, santri, kitab kuning serta masjid yang menjadi sentral pendidikannya sangat mengakar dalam sistem pendidikannya.

Abstract

Abstract Science and technology have great benefits for mankind. But science can also be a punishment for humans. In other words, science has positive and negative values for humans. Efforts need to be made to minimize the negative side of science and increase its benefits, so that science is present as a blessing for the universe. Science that is rahmatan lil ‘alamin is a science that can implement the values of rahmatan lil ‘alamen thus bringing humanity to a life that is prosperous, safe, peaceful and egalitarian. Such science is expected to bring harmony to life. Not only brings prosperity to humans, but also to all beings on earth. Efforts to present the science of rahmatan lil ‘alamien are carried out with science learning integrated with rahmatan lil ‘aalmaien Islamic values. Science learning that rahmatan lil ‘alamin has several characteristics, among others: presenting a non-pragmatic intention in learning science, linking faith to God with natural phenomena, science learning is contextual, science learning is associated with values, culture and beliefs. The implementation rahmatan lil ‘aalamin science learning requires the hard work of all parties considering the current reality of science learning still oriented towards the West. This is due to the lack of concrete examples of learning models and alternative science books. Abstrak Sains dan teknologi memberi manfaat yang besar bagi umat manusia. Namun sains juga bisa menjadi azab bagi manusia. Dengan kata lain, sains mempunyai nilai positif dan negatif bagi manusia. Perlu dilakukan ikhtiar untuk meminimalisasi sisi negatif sains dan memperbesar manfaatnya, sehingga sains hadir sebagai rahmat bagi semesta. Sains yang rahmatan lil ‘alamin merupakan sains yang bisa mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai rahmatan lil ‘alamien sehingga membawa umat manusia pada kehidupan yang sejahtera, aman, damai dan egaliter. Sains yang demikian diharapkan akan memunculkan harmoni kehidupan. Bukan hanya memunculkan kesejahteraan bagi manusia, melainkan juga bagi seluruh makhluk di muka bumi. Upaya menghadirkan sains yang rahmatan lil ‘aalamien dilakukan dengan pembelajaran sains terintegrasi dengan nilai-nilai islam rahmatan lil ‘aalmaien. Pembelajaran sains yang rahmatan lil ‘alamin mempunyai beberapa karakteristik antara lain: menghadorkan niat yang tidak pragmatis dalam mempelajari sains, mengaitkan keimanan kepada Tuhan dengan fenoma alam, pembelajaran sains bersifat kontekstual, pembelalajaran sains dikaitkan dengan nilai, budaya dan keyakinan. Implementasi pembelajaran sains yang rahmatan lil ‘aalamin memerlukan kerja keras semua pihak mengingat realitas saat ini pembelajaran sains masih berkiblat ke Barat. Hal ini disebabkan minimnya contoh konkret model pembelajaran maupun buku sains alternatif.

Abstract

Abstract This dissertation is based on the demand of changes towards boarding school institution, which becomes academic debates about tradition and modernization of boarding school education system by Islamic scholars and thus becomes challenges for boarding schools. This research discussed boarding school education system based on the point of view of KH. Abdurrahman Wahid. This research design by using library research as the instrument with a descriptive analysis of historical approach and pedagogical comparative. The primary source of the data is the work by KH. Abdurrahman Wahid, such as Menggerakkan Tradisi; Esai-Esai Pesantren, BungaRampai Pesantren: Kumpulan KaryaTulis Abdurrahman Wahid, “Pesantren as a subkultur, in M. Dawam Rahardjo (ed), Pesantren dan perubahan, Islam kosmopolitan, Islamku Islam Anda Islam Kita, as primary sources. This paper concludes that the thinking of KH. Abdurrahman Wahid about boarding school education system is essential in responding to the changes by keep referring to the boarding schools subcultures. It can be seen from some of KH Abdurrahman Wahid’s thoughts, such as, first, the aim of boarding school education is dynamic does not only mean to tafaqqu fi al-din, but also to gain knowledge on religious sciences and others. So that students have extensive knowledge, religious knowledge, and general knowledge and skills. Second, the educational program of boarding school education is adaptively by maintaining integrated the curriculum of Islamic sciences and others by simplifying the boarding school curriculum and adjusting it into the development of sciences and technology. Third, the process of boarding school education is innovative by maintaining learning methods sorogan and wetonanthe main characters of boarding school education; however, efforts to the perfect educational system at boarding school must be continually made, especially those related to methods of teaching and implementation of materials in the boarding school. Besides promoting the important findings above, this dissertation recommends to manager and development of boarding school education system to be more competitive, relevant to the needs of society, and able to answer the demands of the times in accordance with the potential and distinctiveness Islamic boarding schools. Abstrak Disertasi ini dilatarbalakangi pada terjadinya tuntutan perubahan terhadap institusi pendidikan pesantren yang menjadi debat akademik tentang tradisi dan modernisasi sistem pendidikan pesantren yang dikemukakan para tokoh-tokoh pendi dikan Islam yang banyak memunculkan tantangan bagi pesantren. Karena itu, penelitian ini dirumuskan untuk mendeskripsikan sistem pendidikan pesantren berdasarkan pemikiran KH. Abdurrahman Wahid. Kajian ini, menggunakan instrumen penelitian kepustakaan (library research), berdasarkan metode deskriptis-analitis dengan pendekatan historis, paedagogik serta komparatif. Sumber utama Menggerakkan Tradisi; Esai-Esai Pesantren. Bunga Rampai Pesantren; Kumpulan Karya Tulis Abdurrahman Wahid, sebagai sumber primer melalui metode dokumentasi. Disertasi ini berhasil menyimpulkan bahwa pemikiran KH. Abdurrahman Wahid tentang sistem pendidikan pesantren adalah bersifat integral dalam merespon perubahan dengan tetap merujuk pada subkultur pesantren. Kebenaran kesimpulan ini didasarkan pada beberapa aspek yaitu: Pertama, aspek tujuan pendidikan pesantren bersifat dinamis tidak hanya pada upaya tafaqquh fi al-din, tetapi juga diperluas dengan penguasaan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, sehingga santri memiliki wawasan yang luas, menguasai ilmu agama dan ilmu pengetahuan umum serta keterampilan. Dengan demikian, tujuan bergerak ke arah integrasi tujuan yaitu keseimbangan antara keimanan, ketaqwaan (Imtaq) dan penguasaan ilmu pengetahuan (Iptek). Tujuan ini harus dirumuskan secara tertulis. Kedua, aspek program pendidikan bersifat adaptif dengan tetap mempertahankan kitab-kitab klasik untuk mempertahankan reproduksi ulama, dan menggunakan integrasi kurikulum antara ilmu-ilmu agama dan umum, dengan menyederhanakan kurikulum pesantren, yang disesuaikan dengan perkembangan pengetahuan dan teknologi. Ketiga, aspek proses pendidikan pesantren, bersifat inovatif dengan tetap menerapkan metode pembelajaran sorogan dan wetonan yang menjadi ciri khas pendidikan pesantren, namun sebaiknya ada usaha-usaha untuk menyempurnakan sistem pengajaran yang ada di pesantren harus diteruskan, dan mengenai materi pelajaran sepanjang menyangkut tata nilai dan pandangan hidup yang ditimbulkannya di pesantren, harus tetap dikembangkan karena memiliki cukup banyak kelebihan. Selain mempromosikan temuan penting di atas, disertasi ini merekomendasikan kepada pengelolah dan pengembangan sistem pendidikan pesantren untuk lebih kompetitif, relevan dengan kebutuhan masyarakat dan mampu menjawab tuntutan zaman, sesuai dengan potensi dan kekhasan pendidikan pesantren itu sendiri, dengan tetap mempertahankan budaya pesantren. Abstract

Pondok Pesantren has a spesific tradition that is far different with other institutions. It has sub-culture relating with way of life, system of values, system of power and authority in its administration. As the oldest education (indegenous) in Indonesia, ofcourse it had given high cultural and scientific contribution for community. Then the modernization changed the sub-culture and pillars of pesantren. In fact, many changed and a few of this institution withstood and reserved. This article analyzes Pondok Pesantren Al-Islam Kemuja as an educational institution in Bangka Belitung related to its basic aspects called “Philosophy and Idealism”, consist of basic values, pesantren’s traditional and its spirit (ruh al-Ma’had), also its institutional management. There are some aspects should be strenghened in pesantren: academic, administrative, net-working and so on Al-Islam has a special colour. Beside conserving its traditional values, this pesantren should be accomodative toward next valuable thing (al-Muhaafazah ‘alaa al-Qadiim al-Shaalih wa al-Akhdzu bi al-Jadiidi al-Ashlah). It is regarding that pesantren as fortresses for the defence of Islamic community and center for dissemination of Islam including Pondok Pesantren Al-Islam Kemuja which situated at small village, Kemuja Mendobarat Bangka Kepulauan Bangka Belitung.

Abstract

One of the values of the Indonesian nation's character that must be developed in our education process is tolerance. This research is important in order to see the implementation of the inculcation of tolerance in religion through multicultural education. This study tries to answer questions about the implementation of the inculcation of students' tolerance in religious life through multicultural education in Setia Budi Sungailiat High School, Bangka Regency. The findings in this study are the inculcation of students' tolerance in religious life through multicultural education conducted at Setia Budi High School, is the application of one of the policies set by the school to create religious tolerance in the school environment. This inculcation of religious tolerance will go well, if all school members understand, respect each other, and value the differences arranged in a multicultural education concept.

Abstract

The relationship between religion and philosophy, in the view of experts, has similarities as well as differences. Religion and philosophy in grasping the truth have several similarities and differences. In religion, true truth must be guided by revelation or belief. The use of reason is only to enrich the analysis of truth. Whereas in philosophy, truth must be approached using reason through a process of reasoning. Although the truth presented by religion may be similar to the truth achieved by philosophy, religion still cannot be equated with philosophy. This difference is due to a different perspective. This article will focus on the relationship between religion and philosophy. There are several paradigms that are presented about the relationship of religion and philosophy including paradigms of contrast, subordinative, and integralistic. This paper will take the position of integrative paradigm.

Abstract

The success of the students are determined by the teacher who can guide them in learning and mastering the certain competencies. The psychological aspects show the fact that students generally have defferent levels of development, which also dmand different materi, everyone has deifferent ablities and talents. This study aims to find out how the aplication of Multiple Intelligences Strategies work in the sbujects of islamic education in SMP Negeri 3 Sungailiat and its influence on student learning education. The result of the study showed that by applying the Multiple Intelligences strategy in the subjects of islamic education proved that the level of student activity had been increased. There are also an obstacles in aplication of learning strategies multiple intellegencesa : learning prepartion, implementation of learning and assessment. Therefore, lectures sued to more creative in improving intellignces of students.

Abstract

The philosophy of existentialism, is a philosophy with the main thought being "existence precedes the essence" that man exists first, then in life he gives meaning or essence to his life by focusing on individual experiences. Existentialism gives individuals a way of thinking about life, what it means to me, what is true for me. Existentialist epistemology assumes that individuals are responsible for their own knowledge. The main source of knowledge is personal experience. An idealist teacher according to existentialists is a teacher who provides an open dialogue space for students to find their meaning. Students get broad opportunities to learn something that interests them, so they can find their identity. Appropriate learning methods according to existentialists are dialogue, role playing, and other methods that give freedom for students to explore meaning in themselves. Because the main task of education is to stimulate every human being to be aware of the responsibility to create meaning and definition of himself.

Abstract

In 2015 AD, 2016 AD, 2017 and 2017 there was a new discussion about the draft of new criteria for the determination of the Islamic calendar in Indonesia, namely the draft MUI criteria and the new draft criteria MABIMS, with the criteria of 3 degrees hilal height and 6.4 degree elongation. This criterion is deliberately made for the benefit and mutual agreement for the unification of the hijri calendar in Indonesia. It is hoped that the experts of the Islamic organizations in Indonesia will give their views and attitudes to the draft of new criteria to harmonize the criteria for "hilal visibility" which will be used as a reference and guideline for the determination of the beginning of the Islamic month. This study shows that both the rukyat school and the reckoning school as a whole are acceptable for the draft MUI criteria and the new draft MABIMS as the determination of the Islamic calendar in Indonesia. However, overall the distribution of the scores of the two schools is categorized as moderate, so there are those who agree, disagree, and do not agree with the draft criteria. Overall, the two new draft criteria have the opportunity to be applied in Indonesia. To realize this, it is necessary to have a dialogue between Islamic mass organizations, astronomers and fiqh experts, as well as the government as policy makers.
