Abstract

The use of words that are not appropriate will lead to misinterpretation in interpreting a speech. In line with this opinion, this obstacle arises because students have not been able to put ideas into writing according to the correct diction, especially words formed by affixes, so the teacher must provide examples through speech during learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of forming prefix, suffix, infix, and simulfix affixes in learning to write negotiating texts in class X SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Jombang. This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research with stages: Observation, Research objectives, Data collection, Data analysis, Drawing conclusions, Compiling articles, Submitting articles to the national journal sinta 3 https://jurnal.unublitar.ac.id/index.php/ brilliant/index, and Reporting. This research was conducted in class X SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Jombang. Data collection was carried out in 3 ways, namely: documentation, observation, and interviews. Data analysis used interactive data analysis of the Milles Hubarmen model which included: data collection, data reduction (Identification, Classification, Description), data presentation (Coding, Table Making, Selection of affixation examples), and drawing conclusions (verification) by utilizing triangulation as a technique checking the validity of research findings. The results of this study are the formation of affixes by adding prefixes, suffixes, confixes, and simulfixes. The process of forming affixation by adding prefixes (ber-, di-), The process of forming affixation by adding suffixes (-i), forming affixes by adding confixes and simulfixes (MeN-kan).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk tindak tutur, fungsi tindak tutur dan strategi tindak tutur ekspresif dalam kasus Venna Melinda pada Kolom Komentar Warganet Akun Media Sosial Youtube Deddy Corbuzier. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini ialah tuturan pada Kolom Komentar Warganet di akun Media Sosial Youtube Deddy corbuzier. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui penelitian ini yaitu dokumentasi Menonton, membaca, mencatat dan menganalisis menjadi sebuah tuturan ekspresif.Data yang diperoleh penelitian ini berupa tuturan yang terdapat di Kolom Komentar Warganet yang termasuk tindak tutur ekspresif. Dan Hasil dari penelitian ini terdapat bentuk tindak tutur ekpresif, fungsi tindak tutur ekspresif dan strategi tindak tutur ekspresif ialah a) tindak tutur ekspresif Mengungkapan Harapan b) tindak tutur ekspresif Memuji, c) tindak tutur Mengkritik, d) tindak tutur Belasungkaw, e) tindak tutur Mengucapkan Terima Kasih. Bentuk tindak tutur yang menyampaikan informasi, fungsi tindak tutur ekspresif untuk memberitahukan sesuatu kepada mitra tutur yang menjadi target dan strategi tindak tutur ekspersif lebih dominannya strategi tindak tutur tidak langsung.

Abstract

Philosophy of science is a branch of philosophy that focuses on scientific ideas and concepts. The process of developing one's attitudes and values is known as character building. The way the philosophy of science influences one's world view and perception of the nature of truth shows the relationship between philosophy of science and character building. Several characters such as openness, logic, discipline, and morality can be grown through the study of philosophy of science. Philosophy of science can also assist one in understanding the value of practicing critical and rational thinking when making judgments as well as the fact that knowledge and truth are constantly developing and increasing. As a result, having an understanding of the philosophy of science is felt to be very important in helping each individual in their life.

Abstract

Most students have difficulty in speaking even though they already have a lot of vocabulary, the problem is that students sometimes feel afraid if they make mistakes in speaking, either because the wording is not right or they lack confidence in themselves, especially for students who feel that do not have the ability to speak English. Lack of vocabulary is also a problem according to them, because vocabulary is the first reference when we want to speak English. The students of MTs Al-Amin has some difficulties in their learning activities, one of them is because the media used by the teacher did not support them to develop their English speaking skills. The method that English teacher use is teacher center, it makes students feel bored in studying English. Beside that the researcher also found that the students are lack of vocabulary and lack confident to speak English. In this study, researcher used the Class Action Research (CAR), in which each cycle contained four stages of action, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. In collecting data, research here uses qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative data were obtained from observations and interviews with English teachers, quantitative data were obtained from the results of the pre-test and post-test. The results showed that this video can attract student’s attention to increase their learning motivation. Students can understand the material provided by the teacher, besides that students are also active in the learning process, their vocabulary also increases, they are also more confident in speaking English.

Abstract

Penelitian berjudul Pematuhan Maksim Leech pada Interaksi guru dan Siswa dalam Pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di MA Sunan Bonang Mojojejer merupakan penelitian yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui prinsip kesantunan Leech siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di MA Sunan Bonang. Penelitian ini menggunakan kajian pragmatik karena berusaha menelaah makna ungkapan penutur kepada mitra tutur sesuai konteks. Penelitian ini mengkaji pematuhan kesantunan menurut maksim Leech. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini adalah ujaran atau tuturan siswa dalam kelas bahasa Indonesia yang mengandung kesantunan menurut prinsip Leech. Sumber data penelitian ini merupakan tuturan siswa kelas X IPS MA Sunan Bonang yang berjumlah 25 orang. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari tuturan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Pengumpulan data penelitian ini dengan cara teknik simak, teknik catat, wawancara, dan observasi. Analisis data yang digunakan peneliti pada penelitian ini dengan cara klasifikasi data, analisis data, dan menyimpulkan data hasil analisis. Hasil penelitian ini berupa kepatuhan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang terbagi menjadi beberapa kategori, (1) maksim kebijaksanaan, (2) maksim kedermawanan, (3) maksim penghargaan, (4) maksim kesederhanaan, (5) maksim permufakatan, dan (6) maksim simpati.

Abstract

This research is a discussion of pragmatic studies, namely deixis. deixis itself is a word that has no reference depending on what, who, where and when the speech occurs. The purpose of this research is 1) to explain the forms of deixis, 2) to explain the meaning of deixis, 3) to explain the function of deixis. the research data is in the form of the movie "Ku Kira Kau Rumah" by using qualitative description research method that describes in detail the observed case. The result of the research is there are 5 forms of deixis which are 1) persona deixis, 2) place deixis, 3) time deixis, 4) discourse deixis, 5) social deixis and each deixis has its meaning and purpose.

Abstract

Students are required to keep up with the times, a person tends to consume behavior that is just a desire, not a need. Supported by high socio-economic status of parents, which will then support a person's lifestyle that makes a person lead to consumptive behavior. The research method used is quantitative, the research instrument is with a likret scale, data collection techniques are questionnaires and documentation and data analysis techniques are using t and f tests. The results of the discussion (1) The influence of parents' socioeconomic status on consumptive behavior obtained a significance value of 0.002 <0.05, so partially there is a positive and significant influence, (2) The influence of lifestyle on consumptive behavior obtained a significance value of 0.001 <0.05, so partially there is a significant positive effect, (3) Simultaneous testing based on the results of the variable test of parents' socioeconomic status, lifestyle, has a significant effect on consumptive patterns with a value of F = 777, sig. = 0.004 <0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. <0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Best practice in teaching English for young learners by using Smart Card Modification was adjusted to childrens’ cognitive development that focused on the sensory motor phase. This study aimed to enhance English Vocabulary for the students of elementary level under the guidance of Red and White Community Learning Center in Malang Regency. CAR had been designed for two cycles. The statistical analysis determined the mean value 70.2 for students’ outcome and completeness 70 % in Cycle 1, this meant that the success indicator had not yet reached. Later in Cycle 2, the improvement of Smart Card Modification was made to fulfill learning outcome 79.9 and completeness 80%. In conclusion, by using media Smart Card Modification increasedEnglish vocabulary for young learners of Red and White Community Learning Center in Malang Regency.

Abstract

This paper aims to reveal the building of Armada Riyanto's Philosophy of Relationality. There are three problems involved in this research, namely the philosophical traditions that influence the philosophy of relationality, the nature of relationality, and the paradigm of relationality. These three things are the pillars through which Armada Riyanto's Philosophy of Relationality can be understood. The methodology used is a critical reading of the book he wrote with the title "Relasionalitas Filsafat Fondasi Interpretasi: Aku, Teks, Liyan, Fenomen". Several of his other books are also critical reading material. This paper produces several findings. First, Armada Riyanto's philosophy of relationality is rooted in existential-phenomenological philosophy. Second, in Armada Riyanto, relationality is a technical-philosophical term whose idea is not the same as connectivity. Third, the relational pattern of I-text and I-phenomenon which by nature is classified as subject-object turns out to have an intersubjective character. Fourth, the I-Other relationality pattern which is characterized by subject-object is a contradiction. Fifth, relationality as a unique and exclusive natural human capacity for self-transcendence towards external reality always departs from the consciousness of "I".

Abstract

There has been a shift in the meaning of stoicism in modern society. Living by the principle ofstoicism has become a hot topic in recent years because it has the concept of thinking so that humans cancontrol their thoughts so that humans do not easily experience stress. Instead of teaching us to be lazy,stoicism comes as a principle that encourages us to think hard with the aim of having a better life thanbefore. The research method used in this research is literature study. Literature study aims to see the shiftingmeaning of stoicism and shed light on the true meaning of stoicism. This article is compiled based on severaljournal articles, books, and other internet sources to support the preparation with a publishing period of 10years ago. With the aim that there are no more misunderstandings or misconceptions about the meaning ofstoicism and emphasize that stoicism is not a principle that requires a person to be lazy in activities or evenin thinking. In fact, stoicism teaches us to think hard in cultivating awareness of what is happening aroundus with the aim of achieving a happy and serene life.
