Abstract

One of the most dangerous diseases in the world is cardiovascular disease. Cardiac arrest is one of the major causes of death in the heart. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is the first help that can be given. The aim of the research is to determine out the factors influence CPR success. An analytical observational research design with a cross sectional method used in this study. All patients who suffered cardiac arrest and completed CPR in the emergency department were included in this study, with a total of 42 participants. The age component accounted for 66.7 percent of the 60-year-olds, with male sex accounting for 61.9 percent. Prearrest diagnostic was Non-cardiac at 64.3 percent, Initial was Unshockable (asystole/PEA) at 71.4 percent, and the greatest duration of CPR was 1 minute by 81 percent. The chi square and fisher's exact tests revealed that there was no correlation between age (0.578), gender (1,000), and CPR duration (0.151) and CPR success. At Abdul Wahab Sjahranie Hospital Samarinda, there is a correlation between pre-arrest diagnosis (0.003), initial cardiac rhythm (0.041), and reaction time (0.013) and CPR success. Factors related to the success of CPR are pre-arrest diagnosis (0.003), initial heart rhythm (0.041), and response time (0.013).

Abstract

Crystal violet and Safranin are carcinogenic dyes in the Gram stain. Safe alternative materials are needed to minimize the use of carcinogenic properties. Betalain is a pigment of Beetroot (Beta vulgaris L.). The purpose of this study was to determine Beetroot (Beta vulgaris L.) as an alternative of Safranin in bacterial Gram staining. It was an experimental research, where to determine the effectiveness of natural dyes, beetroot was made with concentrations of 75%, 90% and 100% with the addition of HCL. The data in this study using the researcher's observation by looking at the existence of bacterial color in Gram staining with beetroot extract substitute the Safranin. Klebsiella pneumonia was used as the Gram negative bacteria. Neither beetroot juice nor beetroot extract stained the Klebsiella pneumonia. However the Klebsiella pneumoniae stained by 100% concentration of beetroot maceration. It can be concluded that Beetroot is less effective for an alternative of Safranin in bacterial Gram staining.

Abstract

The first vaccination program started in early December 2020 and as of February 15, 2021, 175.3 million doses of the vaccine had been administered. Although the clinical trial data for the Covid-19 vaccine meets the WHO standard requirements, concrete evidence relating to the efficacy and effectiveness of the vaccine still needs to be researched and developed further. Therefore, there is still a lack of research and publications on the development of the Covid-19 vaccine in Indonesia, so this research will raise the issue of the extent to which factors of age, gender, ethnicity, history of Covid-19 infection, and vaccination dose affect the formation of antibodies after Covid vaccination. -19 in the Banjarmasin Ministry of Health Poltekkes academic community and the ability to protect against Covid-19 infection. The research is an analytical survey with a cross sectional design and as a sample is the academic community of Poltekkes Kemenkes Banjarmasin who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 stages I, II and III (booster). The method of determining antibody levels uses the ELISA principle plus supporting data through a questionnaire to explore data on the characteristics of the respondents. The results of measurements with ELISA obtained levels of Anti-SARS-Cov-2 S1RBD IgG antibodies which were grouped into 3 categories, namely: low (< 5 IU/mL) 3%, moderate (5 – 99 IU/mL) 8%, high (> 99 IU/mL) 89% and there is a significant value in terms of vaccination dose where the dose up to stage III (booster) is directly proportional to the increase in the level of antibodies formed.
