AL MUNIR : Jurnal Komunikasi dan Penyiaran Islam
Al Munir Journal of Islamic Communication and Broadcasting is open access and peer review of journals published by the Communication and Islamic Broadcasting Study Program of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences, Imam Bonjol Padang State Islamic University (UIN). This journal covers actual issues in Islamic communication studies, including the development of contemporary da'wah by utilizing media, Islamic information systems, rhetoric, literature, and government policies regarding broadcasting and information regulation. The purpose of this journal is to promote sharing of knowledge and understanding of communication issues. Then receive contributions from experts, researchers, practitioners and policy makers throughout the world. This journal is published periodically twice a year, precisely in January - June and July - December.

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the presence of PKH Partners as the spearhead of the government in changing the behavior of poor families thus they can get out of poverty. This study aims to determine the interpersonal communication carried out by PKH Partners to KPM and obstacles in implementing of interpersonal communication. The theory used was the Source Credibility Theory proposed by Hovland, Janis and Kelley. The approach of this research is descriptive qualitative.The results showed that interpersonal communication carried out by PKH Partners were applied in activities of compulsory P2K2 meeting, home visits and visits to relevant agencies by using face to face dialogue through verbal and non verbal communication. Verbal communication is done verbally by PKH Partners as a communicator to KPM as the communicant through discussion and question and answer, and non-verbal communication in the form of a touch specifically made for the disabled and elderly. The nature of the relationship between PKH Partners and KPM is interdependence because each party has the obligation to accompany and be accompanied, if not the aid fund is deferred. PKH Partners and KPM communicate actively at each meeting until all the required information has been obtained and KPM has interpreted all the messages conveyed. The message conveyed in connection with improving the quality of life of KPM families and PKH Partners did not use the media because communication was done face-to-face. To create effective communication The PKH Partners an openness attitude, motivation, sympathy and empathy as well as equality, and the attitude that shown by PKH Partners creates a sense of confidence of KPM thus the message delivered by PKH Partners received and implemented well by KPM. Meanwhile the barriers of interpersonal communication that done by PKH Partners were, limited knowledge, generation differences and physical limitations]]>

<![CDATA[Encouragement from parents to get their children to get married often creates conflicts. This study analyzes interpersonal communication which is used as an effort to resolve conflicts. Qualitative methods are used to answer research questions with a phenomenological approach. The results obtained by parents often encourage their children who are old enough to get married. Conflicts between parents and children often occur when the child doesn’t feel like getting married, while the parents for several reasons want their child to get married soon. The interpersonal communication built by parents and children can be a way to resolve conflicts that occur. Openness and listening are the keys to the communication process between parents and children. This study concludes that the conflict between parents and children regarding the urge to marry must be resolved using interpersonal communication.]]>

<![CDATA[Da'wah through social media can either be read by users anywhere and anytime as long as it is connected to the internet network or be shared by users more widely to other users. The problem in this study was how da'i used social media, what contents were included in social media, and what were the considerations used by him/her in posting contents. This research method was qualitative to obtain data on how da'i used social media in dakwah and to obtain data about the considerations of da’i in posting content on social media. Meanwhile, to obtain data about the content posted by da'i, the content analysis method was used. The subjects of this research were da’i who preach in Padang who actively and regularly used social media in their dakwah. The findings of this study indicated that the way da’i used social media was commonly done independently and some were assisted by their team. Apart from that, da'i posted religious content on their Facebook and some also created a closed Facebook group. Content shared by da'i on social media about tauheed, worships and muamalah in the form of social criticism, tausiah, motivation, invitations, and sayings. Meanwhile, the da'i considerations in posting religious content in order to address issues that develop in society by answering netizens’ questions on social media, and took their own initiative and to provide enlightenment.]]>

<![CDATA[The development of social media today has a big impact, one of which has an impact in the field of promotion. Industry players including influencers and content creators use Instagram social media as a means of promotion, one of which is Instagram @sumbar_rancak social media as a means of promoting tourism in Sumatera Barat. Based on the above background, the focus of the problem in this study is how to use social media instagram @sumbar_rancak as a means of tourism promotion in Sumatera Barat. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of social media Instagram @sumbar_rancak as a means of promoting tourism in Sumatera Barat. This study uses the concept of new media-based tourism promotion, namely social media Instagram. This research will use a qualitative approach using the case study method. From the research results, the use of Instagram @sumbar_rancak social media as a means of tourism promotion in Sumatera Barat is to use several Instagram features such as; photo title or caption, hashtags, comments, mentions. And based on the results of observations and interviews with Instagram informants, @sumbar_rancak is very effective in promoting tourism in West Sumatra. This is evidenced by the statements of visitors through the captions they upload on privately owned social media.]]>

<![CDATA[The concept of Work-Family is now no stranger to the general public. Work- family is a concept of family who must fulfill the roles that must be carried out as a family and work activities. When parents are preoccupied with they work, they also need to take time to accompany their children to listen to complaints or stories of their children's daily life. In this study, researchers want to know how the role of communication in working families, how the response of a child who has working parents, and see what conflicts occur in the working family. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The results of this study indicate that the communication that exists between the child and both parents who work runs smoothly. Parents always try to take the time to talk about their daily activities. However, it does not always run smoothly, sometimes a strain based conflict also arises, where fathers and mothers are too focused on their work. Child feels the reduced attention from the parents. In this case the role of communication is needed to discuss each other's desires (children and parents). In addition, the role of communication is needed to show the concern and affection among each family member.]]>

<![CDATA[This research describes information on various issues of Hajj Manasik Guidance activities throughout the year at the Integrated Hajj and Umrah Service Center (PLHUT) Padang City. This activity is an innovation from the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia since 2019 which aims to meet the achievement of the objectives of organizing the Hajj, providing guidance, service and protection for pilgrims in accordance with sharia, as well as realizing independence and resilience in the implementation of the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages. The Facts show that this new innovation creates some problems for PLHUT that require solutions. The research aims to find out the problems and solutions provided in dealing with the problem of guidance. This research is a field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The data source is taken from the Head of the Hajj and Umrah Organizing Section of the Ministry of Religion of the city of Padang, implementing officers, supervisors and prospective pilgrims as well, by using purposive technique. The instruments that used are observation and interview. The results are as following : 1) The problems faced by PLHUT were budget issues, guidance materials, Jamaat do not have the maximum time to follow the guidance, the available time allocation and limited facilities. Presentation of guidance material and its schedule are less systematic and module are ineffective. 2) PLHUT provides a solution by increasing the guidance time in “Ramadan” every day, the committee will provide a schedule and guidance module.]]>

<![CDATA[The family is the closest environment to teenagers, where the family is the first place for teenagers to socialize outside the home. Whereas adolescents are the most transitional period that can influence their teenage sexual behaviour. . Where there are currently many sections that occur during adulthood. This research was conducted with qualitative methods, namely in-depth interviews and observations, conclusions can be obtained. The results of this study discuss the communication between parents and children is the most important thing for children who are victims of sexual violence, besides religious education, early sexual understanding and moral are also very much needed in establishing communication within a family.]]>

<![CDATA[This research uses a qualitative method, with a descriptive approach. This study tried to obtain data in the form of written or oral words from several informants. The pattern of communication that occurs in the general bureau of the Governor's Office of West Suimatera Province is the Linear communication pattern, because in this pattern communicators and communicants face to face or the occurrence of feedback. Communication between superiors and subordinates in the public bureau by way of face to face. But not only face to face, but also done through non-electronic media such as letters, bulletin boards and so on or electronic media such as e-mail, whatshap, telephone and so on. The results showed that in the general bureau of the governor's office in the province of West Sumatra, the communication pattern was effective. In the public bureau, if there is a conflict between fellow subordinates, then the boss's way of resolving the problem is by asking for food.]]>

<![CDATA[The religious social activity at the Great Nurul Iman mosque in Padang City is not only seen as a place of prayer, but also empowers the people. Mosque is a traditional place to mobilize da'wah, and also a community development center, an information center and developing knowledge education and training and social activities. The objectives of this study are to reveal Tahfizd's activities, the hadith activities of Ar-ba'in and the gold savings activity for orphan education at the Agung Nurul Iman mosque in Padang. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative, which describes how to describe the facts and symptoms that exist in the field. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results obtained in the study are: (1) Tahfzd coaching activities at the Agung Nurul Iman mosque in Padang City have been going well, with the existence of tahfizd activities and can add and improve the memorization of students. (2). The ar-ba'in hadith program at the Nurul Iman mosque in Padang City can add insight and knowledge of the congregation about the hadiths taught by the Prophet Muhammad such as the procedures for living, prayer, fasting, zakat, and the history of Islam (3). The gold saving activity at the Agung Nurul Iman mosque in Padang City can help with the needs and costs of education for orphans who are registered in the gold savings activity.]]>

<![CDATA[The advancement of technological inventions has made a lot of works become computerized. Various jobs have changed into new models that require workers must have computer skills or basic of computer operations. Therefore, colleges as the highest education are responsible to ensure the computer skills of its alumni to be ready in competing with others in the workplace. Through a quantitative approach, this study tried to see the level of college students' computer mastery of Da'wah and Communication faculty at UIN Imam Bonjo Padangl. By involving 90 samples of college students in the faculty, it was found that the level of students' computer mastery was on medium category. Meanwhile, the level of students' office application mastery had various findings. For the level of students' mastery on Microsoft Word and Power point, it was on medium category. But, for students' office application mastery on Microsoft Excel was on low category.]]>
