Al Munir Journal of Islamic Communication and Broadcasting is open access and peer review of journals published by the Communication and Islamic Broadcasting Study Program of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication Sciences, Imam Bonjol Padang State Islamic University (UIN). This journal covers actual issues in Islamic communication studies, including the development of contemporary da'wah by utilizing media, Islamic information systems, rhetoric, literature, and government policies regarding broadcasting and information regulation. The purpose of this journal is to promote sharing of knowledge and understanding of communication issues. Then receive contributions from experts, researchers, practitioners and policy makers throughout the world. This journal is published periodically twice a year, precisely in January - June and July - December.

Abstract

 This study aims to explore the application of Islamic communication in a salaf pesantren environment, especially in the method of learning kitab kuning. Islamic communication here is understood as a form of interaction based on Islamic values such as honesty, politeness, and respect. Salaf Islamic boarding schools were chosen as the object of research because they are known for their traditional learning methods that are deep and thick with Islamic nuances. The methodology used in this research is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that Islamic communication plays an important role in the process of learning the yellowclassical books. Islamic communication values are applied through various activities, such as recitation, group discussions, and daily interactions between santri and ustadz. The application of Islamic communication not only improves the santri's understanding of the yellowclassical books, but also strengthens their character and morality. This study concludes that Islamic communication is an essential element that supports the effectiveness of learning methods in salaf pesantren and contributes to the formation of a conducive and religious educational environment.

Abstract

This study examines the crisis communication strategy of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk in responding to the boycott calls arising from the Palestine-Israel conflict during 2023-2024. The approach used is qualitative with a case study method, collecting data through in-depth interviews. The findings reveal that the company responded quickly with a dedicated team actively monitoring and managing the issue. The communication strategy emphasized transparency, empathy, and adjustment to the cultural sensitivities and social values of the local community. Effective coordination within the organization was also a key factor in delivering consistent and effective messages to the public and business partners. Through these efforts, Unilever succeeded in building a clear and factual narrative that helped to calm public anxiety and panic. The strategy reflects the adaptive application of the Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT), managing the crisis by balancing global business interests with Indonesia's local values. Overall, the communication was not only focused on direct problem-solving but also on building long-term relationships with the public through transparent and culturally sensitive communication. This approach proved effective in maintaining the company’s reputation amid a complex and dynamic crisis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran komunikasi interpersonal dalam mengatasi stresakademik pada mahasiswa Program Studi Komunikasi Digital dan Media, Sekolah Vokasi IPBSukabumi. menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini menyoroti lima aspekutama komunikasi interpersonal berdasarkan teori Joseph A. DeVito: keterbukaan, empati,dukungan, sikap positif, dan kesetaraan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasiinterpersonal yang efektif, mencakup keterbukaan, empati, dukungan, sikap positif, dan kesetaraan,berperan signifikan dalam membantu mahasiswa mengelola stres akademik dan sebagai saranauntuk mengatasi tekanan akademik. Mahasiswa yang mampu berbagi perasaan dan tekananmelalui komunikasi interpersonal dengan teman sejawat atau dosen lebih mudah mengatasi stres.Selain itu, dukungan emosional dan instrumental dari lingkungan sosial terbukti meningkatkanketahanan mahasiswa terhadap stres akademik. Sebaliknya, hambatan komunikasi, sepertikurangnya keterbukaan dapat menjadi faktor penghambat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikanupaya institusi pendidikan untuk mendorong budaya komunikasi yang mendukung gunameningkatkan kesejahteraan akademik dan emosional mahasiswa.
