Abstract

Horticulture is one of the agricultural sub-sectors that contributes to economic development in Indonesia. This is because horticulture is a subsector in agriculture that has the potential to be developed, because it has an important role in contributing to farmers' income and trade. Kale and spinach are examples of horticultural vegetables that have this potential, because both vegetables are types of vegetables that are always in demand by the community for consumption. This potential can provide benefits for producers, consumers and society. This study aims to: (a) Calculate the optimal amount of green vegetable production (b) Calculate the maximum income that can be received by green vegetable farmers. This research was conducted in Merawang District, Bangka Regency. The analysis method used was Linear Programming analysis. Linear Programming is an operations research technique by solving optimization problems using linear equations and inequalities. The results of the analysis resulted in the maximum income solution value of kale and spinach farming in Merawang District, which is a maximum of Rp 17,355,000 per land area of 0.34 hectares or Rp 51,044,117 per hectare. Based on the results of linear program analysis, the optimal amount of products that farmers can produce for kale products is 3.39 tons per land area of 0.20 hectares or 16.95 tons per hectare, and for spinach products is 1.95 tons per land area of 0.14 hectares or 13.9 tons per hectare.

Abstract

Processing river watersheds is very important because the risk of disasters caused by overflowing river water will be reduced if the watershed is well maintained. If DAS information is complete, DAS maintenance can run well. However, very little information is currently available. Therefore, we need a system that can be used to monitor DAS. The system will be a web-based Semarang City Watershed Monitoring Information System which can show the current condition of the watershed. This system has the ability to monitor watershed areas around Semarang, and if the watershed conditions are unstable, this system can repeat before any harm occurs to local residents. The results of watershed data collection can provide users with information regarding the location of dams and their descriptions, the river network in the watershed. Data collection is carried out by collecting information via the internet. Relevant data regarding watersheds which includes information on watershed conditions. The aim of this research is to build online-based monitoring media using content management systems such as WIX media so that it can expand monitoring of rivers that cannot be seen directly. Apart from that, it also aims to bring greater awareness to the current condition of River Watersheds (DAS). By designing appropriate monitoring media, we can more effectively introduce the actual situation of the watershed which has the potential to encourage increased awareness of environmental protection and management. The method used by this research is the Waterfall method in which there are several stages such as Requirements System, System and Software Design, Implementation and Until Testing, Integration System Testing, Operation and Maintenance. The results of this research indicate that the development of this website is to update existing information and make it easier for customers to access information about DAS anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

Digital Transformation (DT) is not ust a technological opportunity but also an urgent necessity to meet the evolving expectations of society. Nowadays, businesses are required to adopt more efficient and effective methods in managing information and communicating with customers. Digital Marketing, as a crucial implementation of DT, enables companies to interact with customers through digital channels such as social media, email, and websites. In this context, PT Uola Pandawa Sejahtera, operating in the creative industry, faces challenges in disseminating product and service information. Using traditional costly and inflexible printed catalogs and lagging behind competitors who have embraced digital marketing, they decided to transition to the innovation of a web-based e-catalog. The aim of this research is to design an e-catalog platform for PT Uola Pandawa Sejahtera using the Waterfall method. The e-catalog replaces printed catalogs, allowing the company to update information in real-time, enhance customer interactions, and reduce operational costs. Test results show that the e-catalog provides easy access to information, boosts engagement, and reduces printing costs. Recommendations involve regular updates, SEO optimization, and admin training. This research significantly contributes to PT Uola Pandawa Sejahtera, enabling them to remain relevant in the digital age, provide superior customer service, and cut printing expenses.

Abstract

Kombucha is a tea-based probiotic drink that has been dissolved with sugar and has been fermented using a mixture of yeast and bacteria, then forming a plate on its surface known as SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast). This study was conducted to determine the effect of the fermentation of telang flower kombucha tea (Clitoria ternatea L.) on organoleptic quality which includes taste, aroma, and color. The method used in this study is an experimental method to test the effect of fermentation time on the organoleptic quality of telang flower kombucha tea which consists of 4 different treatments, namely fermentation time of 7 days, 10 days, 12 days and 14 days. The research results show that fermentation time has an influence on taste, aroma and color. A fermentation period of 14 days is recommended as the best treatment to produce butterfly pea flower kombucha tea, because it has the best organoleptic qualities which include a not strong sour and sweet taste, a distinctive sour kombucha aroma, and a clear dark purple col.

Abstract

Writing ability is one of the skills that must be mastered by grade VIII students in Indonesian language learning. Students’ ability to master the vocabulary and spelling of the words they use to express their ideas is very important in writing poetry. Based on the results of observations at Darul Hikam Junior High School, it shows that there are still student obstacles in writing poetry in class so that students feel less effective in expressing their ideas and objects. In addition, teachers still use traditional Indonesian language learning methods with teacher-related approaches in daily teaching and learning activities. A teacher’s skill in choosing effective learning strategies and methods can improve students’ poetry writing skills. Learning methods and strategies that increase students’ poetry writing skills are the Think Plus Strategy with the Outdoor Study Method. This study aims to find and explain the impact of thinking and strategies using the outdoor study method on grade VIII students of Smp Darul Hikam Kuwarasan in the 2023/2024 academic year. The method applied in this research is experimental method with one group pretest and posttest design. The sample in this study was formed from 24 students. Normality and homogeneity testing using the SPSS application illustrates the significance value of Sig. 0.571 > 0.05 and 0.412 > 0.05 illustrating that the class is normally distributed and homogeneous. Data on learning outcomes were analyzed using paired sample t-test with 5% confidence level. Based on the results of the SPSS test, the Sig (two-tailed) significance value is 0.032 <0.05, so it can be said that the strategy of thinking plus with the outdoor study method has a significant effect on improving the poetry writing skills of students in grade VIII of Darul Hikam Kuwarasan Junior High School in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

Long-term meteorological data is very useful for identifying signs of climate change phenomena. The phenomenon refers to long-term changes in the physical conditions of the Earth's atmosphere, such as temperature and weather patterns. This has a huge impact, especially in Banyuwangi, which is one of the largest rice production areas in East Java. Predicting monthly rainfall trends is important to anticipate crop failures due to extreme weather and natural disasters such as floods and landslide. This research uses weather parameters on a global scale, such as temperature, rain, evaporation, surface humidity, and sea level pressure, while for local-scale information, it uses monthly rainfall data in the Banyuwangi area from 2011 to 2023.The extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) method will be used to predict monthly rainfall in an ensemble learning model based on the boosting approach. In particular, this study emphasizes its ability to build predictive models on limited time series and the impact of data splitting on model performance. The best results were shown by the model with a data split ratio of 1:12, or covering 80% of the data as training data. The model accuracy achieved a MAE of 72.579 mm in training and 80.777 mm in testing. In addition, the RMSE was 95.940 mm in training and 95.775 mm in testing. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for building a more optimal long-term weather forecast model.

Abstract

During the pandemic, Indonesia experienced developments in internet use, one of which was in the world of entertainment. This increase rate reached 78.19%. The entertainment that Indonesian people like during the pandemic is watching films or TV series. One application that provides online film streaming services is Prime Video. Prime Video is a film or TV series streaming application developed by Amazon in 2006. Based on data on the Play Store for this application, the rating obtained is 3.5 out of 5. According to several reviews from users, users find it difficult to log in and complain about bad app UI. User Interface is the appearance of a product such as color, layout and writing which functions to connect the system with the user. User Experience is an experience or experience that arises from users who have used a product or application that has been developed. The aim of this research is to increase the usability value of the Prime Video application by carrying out evaluation and redesign. The method used in this research is the data collection method, this method requires researchers to collect data both from related theories and previous research, as well as data obtained from respondents. After conducting interviews, the results were obtained that this application still had several shortcomings in the user interface and user experience. After carrying out the SUS test on 5 respondents regarding the Prime Video application, this application received a score of 65.5 and received a Bad rating. After obtaining the required data, the next process is the redesign process, this process is carried out by considering previous problems. After carrying out all the tests, results can be obtained and it can be concluded that the data collection method can help researchers to carry out evaluations and provide recommendations for improvements for the application. This research also produces a design plan that can be used as a recommendation to increase the usability value of the application.

Abstract

Smart Farming or digital farming is a smart solution in the agricultural sector that utilizes an Internet of Things (IoT) based network system to carry out automatic monitoring and control in agricultural areas. The results of smart farming need to be defined and evaluated in order to increase farmers' understanding that smart farming can produce something new and positive. The benefits of smart agriculture will provide better changes to farmers' income and productivity, as well as improve the structure of socio-economic conditions, especially rural farmers. The current problem for farmers is that in order to make appropriate and correct decisions for the farming community in cultivating crops, real-time data regarding changes in the weather at that time is needed. So, through smart agricultural technology, this helps farmers find out real data. The effectiveness of agricultural technology is influenced by farmers' awareness and willingness to use and adopt agricultural innovations. Some of the technologies included in smart farming technology that can be used for agricultural productivity and efficiency, one of which is Agri drones which can be operated to spray pest and disease killers (pesticides), use liquid/solid fertilizers and better irrigation so as to avoid the use of fertilizers and pesticides. products that exceed the recommendations given. The presence of smart agricultural technology will make Indonesian agricultural cultivation more effective and efficient in determining how large or small the production and production needs are. Smart farming technology can help make the work of farmers easier in farming and for young people who want to become entrepreneurs in agriculture. Smart farming technology is similar to the use of technology needed to attract young people to participate in the agricultural sector, especially for the growth of Indonesian agriculture. Abstract

In the current digital era, promotion through visual media is the key to introducing products or business premises to the public. By using video as a promotional medium, companies can expand their marketing reach and make information more interesting and easy for consumers to understand. The problem faced by Kopi Sembilan is the lack of a creative and attractive promotional strategy, as well as not highlighting their Unique Selling Proposition (USP) in every product they promote. In comparison, their competitors were already using video to promote their products, giving them a significant competitive advantage. By studying the creative and technical aspects behind making advertising videos using live shoot and motion graphic technology, this research produced an advertising video that was rated very good by respondents, with a total percentage of 88.2%. This video was broadcast on Kopi Sembilan's official Instagram and received a positive response from the public. However, this research still has several shortcomings, such as the need to add creative elements such as 3D animation, improve animation smoothing, and add voice dubbing to increase the visual and audio appeal of advertisements. It is hoped that this suggestion can be taken into consideration for further development so that the promotion of Kopi Sembilan becomes better and more effective.

Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) can significantly transform the agricultural sector by introducing various applications that help enhance efficiency, productivity, and sustainability in the agricultural sector of Ngada Regency. This research aims to examine the landscape of potential IoT development for implementation in the agricultural sector of Ngada Regency as well as to point out the possibilities and challenges of developing agricultural IoT in Ngada. This study is composed of comprehensive literature reviews and field observations. The results indicate that IoT applications already implemented in other regions also have great potential for development in Ngada. The availability of telecommunications network infrastructure, access to IoT hardware and software, government support for agricultural technology development, and human resources make IoT feasible to be implemented in Ngada Regency. This research is limited to examining the opportunities and challenges of IoT implementation, thus further research is needed on development strategies for small, medium, and large scales to assist in mapping the IoT development plan in Ngada. This research can serve as a reference for further studies on developing IoT-based agricultural system prototypes in Ngada
