Abstract

The use of virtual assistants based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) has shown a significant impact in various sectors, especially education. The presence of AI-based virtual assistants capable of answering questions from various topics creates new opportunities and challenges, especially regarding exams and assessments. This research examines the impact of using AI-based virtual assistants, specifically ChatGPT (GPT-4), on the integrity of programming competency certification carried out online. Through field experiments, the author took three online programming competency certifications related to "Python Fundamentals for Beginners", "Java Programming", and "Android Application Development" and used ChatGPT (GPT-4) to answer all exam questions. The test results show that GPT-4 successfully answered 9 out of 10 questions given in the three programming competency certifications that were taken and declared to have passed the exam. This raises serious questions about the validity of certificates obtained through competency certification which is carried out online. This research reveals that there is a need for more effective examination methods in assessing the true abilities of certification participants, such as project-based examinations, examinations using questions in video form, and interview-based examinations. This examination method will not only increase the credibility of online programming competency certification but also ensure that participants who pass the certification have expertise related to the field being tested. Further research is needed to explore the impact of AI-based virtual assistants in various educational contexts, especially on online competency certification.

Abstract

The use of technology and information is growing rapidly. Many institutions including government agencies have implemented website-based information systems in their services. With this information system, services become faster and more precise. The Selokerto Village Government is one of the villages in Sempor Sub-district, Kebumen Regency, which has implemented a website-based information system to serve peoples need such as requests for letters through the village government administration. However, sometimes the existing system experiences interruptions that cannot be predicted for how long. Data that has been inputted cannot be accessed and cannot print the required letter. The Selokerto Village Government must wait for repairs from the Kebumen Regency Government operator. This makes the Selokerto Village Government unable to provide maximum service. Therefore, another information system is needed with a simple interface design, easy for users to understand, and can accommodate the needs of peoples. The purpose of this research is to implement a website-based Selokerto Village administration information system. The development method used in this research is the waterfall method which consists of five development stages, namely: (1) Analysis, (2) Design, (3) Implementation, (4) Testing, and (5) Maintenance. After the information system is completed, blackbox testing and testing to prospective users of the system are carried out to see the feasibility of the system. This research produces a website-based Selokerto Village administration information system that can be used by Selokerto Village officials to serve the needs of peoples, especially for correspondence purposes. In addition, based on the results of blackbox testing and testing by prospective users, it shows that the system has run well and as expected. Thus it can be said that this system is feasible to implement.Keywords: information system, website, waterfall, village mail administration

Abstract

This article discusses how education can act as a fundamental pillar in shaping human thinking to face the complex challenges that arise along with technological advances. Education not only guides individuals in spiritual, moral and ethical aspects, but also plays a central role in shaping human paradigms regarding technological innovation. Teachers' ability to use technology is also a form of readiness to face the technological era 5.0. The aim of this research is to describe the role of education in facing the technology era 5.0. The research method used in this research is literature study. The findings of this research indicate that the integration of technology in educational teaching can increase student engagement and help them develop a deep understanding of religious values. The revolution in thinking in the context of understanding the role of education in facing the Technology Era 5.0 reflects the need for transformation in the education system to answer the challenges and opportunities that arise along with technological advances. In this era, education is not only considered as a conveyor of information, but also as a catalyst for developing 21st century skills such as creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration. Education must be able to produce individuals who are not only skilled in using technology, but also able to adapt and innovate in the face of rapid change. This Thought Revolution also emphasizes the importance of inclusion and accessibility of education amidst the even development of technology.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between teachers' teaching styles at the high school level and students' interest in learning. Student interest in learning is an important factor in achieving optimal learning outcomes. Problems that often occur in the classroom are incompatibility of teaching styles with student needs, lack of creativity and innovation, lack of interaction and participation, not being aware of the diversity of student learning styles, and lack of use of educational technology. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the influence of high school teachers' teaching styles on students' interest in learning. The method used in this research is literature study. The results of the analysis show that there is a correlation between the teacher's teaching style and students' learning interest. A teaching style that is interactive, supports student participation, and motivates their creativity tends to have a positive impact on interest in learning. On the other hand, a teaching style that is monotonous and less interactive can potentially reduce students' interest in learning. These findings provide important implications for the development of teaching methods in high school, by emphasizing the need to pay attention to teaching styles that can stimulate students' interest in learning. This research can be a basis for preparing guidelines for developing teacher professionalism and improving the education system that focuses on the quality of learning at the high school level.

Abstract

The design of an Automatic Clothesline Based on a Water Drop Sensor Equipped with a 10 Wp Solar Panel is designed to make household work easier in terms of drying clothes at the household level in terms of providing/availability of clean clothes every day. The components are assembled to test the motion sensor, test the battery capacity, then test the current and voltage on the solar panel. Testing of solar module characteristics is carried out based on real operating conditions (Real Operation Condition) tests by measuring the variables solar radiation (SR), temperature (S), short circuit current (Isc), open circuit voltage (Voc) of the module. The battery charging process uses a 10 Wp solar panel with a battery capacity of 9 volts / 2Ah. The testing process is carried out on Saturday-Sunday 25 – 26 May 2023 starting from 09:00 WIB to 15:00 WIB by measuring the incoming voltage once an hour to the battery. Testing is carried out using a voltmeter. The power produced by the Solar Panel without load on March 3 2023 was 8.82 Watts, and on March 4 2023 it was 7.64 Watts. The current generated during the battery charging process using solar panels on March 25 2023 was 1.08 Ampere and on March 26 2023 it was 0.09 Ampere. The power absorbed when the tool is working is 4.48 Watts. The maximum load that can be drawn is 920 grams, at a voltage of 7.7 Volts and a current of 0.70 Amperes, so the power required is 5.39 Watts

Abstract

Language education in the context of the digital era is a strategic effort to build a superior generation. In this era, language skills are no longer only related to verbal communication, but also include digital literacy and understanding bold content. language education in developing effective, critical and creative communication skills amidst the abundant flow of digital information. One of the main challenges in the digital era is how to integrate the use of technology in language learning without eliminating traditional values. Through an inclusive and innovative approach, language education is an alternative to help the younger generation to become independent thinkers, able to explore and interpret various sources of information wisely, and participate actively in a digitally connected global society. The aim of this research was to described language education as an effort to build a superior generation in the digital era. The method used in this research is literature study. The results of this research show that language education has an important role in forming a superior generation in the digital era. Through language education, individuals can develop communication skills, content understanding, and literacy skills that are much needed in an ever-evolving digital environment. With a strong understanding of language, future generations can utilize technology wisely, generate and analyze information critically, and participate actively in a variety of global contexts.

Abstract

Vocabulary refers to the set of words that a person is familiar with in a particular language. It includes words that an individual understands, recognizes, and can use in speaking, writing, listening, and reading. The question of the research was “How can word square method improve the students’ vocabulary?”. The objective of the research was to improve the students’ vocabulary at the first grade of SMP Negeri 1 Tanggetada. This research was a classroom action research that followed a particular set of actions, namely: preliminary research, planning, action, observing, analyzing and reflecting in each cycle. The aim of this research was to improve the students’ vocabulary mastery. The researcher used two instruments to obtain data, namely vocabulary tests that were administered on the fourth meeting of the first and second cycle, and observation sheets that were filled out throughout the meeting to observe the students’ behaviours during teaching and learning activities. The research resulted in significant improvement of the students' vocabulary mastery, as well as their activities in the classroom. There were two cycles in this research. The first cycle was failed because only 36% of the students were able to pass the minimum score (75)because the students did not yet understand the word square method. After the second cycle was implemented, and the researcher’s innovation in conducting word square in the classroom, 80% of the students were finally able to pass the minimum score which meant that the research was successful. Therefore, the research could be stopped.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors influencing changes in land parcels related to land registration and land and building taxes. The methodology employed involves a spatial approach to changes in land parcels related to land administration, particularly land registration, and property taxes. The results indicated that the number of parcels changed is primary attributed to the division of joint rights, that used to known as "warinsan". furthermore, the factor of land use in residential areas exhibits the highest rate of change, accounting for 70%. The alteration of land parcels is primarily caused by the subdivision of land, constituting 72% of the cases, located proximately to village roads, lanes, or alleys

Abstract

Technological developments nowadays are increasingly developing day by day, it is important for agencies to understand user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) to support increased customer satisfaction. In this research, the researcher designed a user interface (UI) design wareframe, a web-based online library system design prototype using Figma, which aims to produce a flow concept in an attractive design wareframe design and implement the design results into a prototype. The focus of the research is designing the website user interface by looking at user needs. The method used in designing the User Interface (UI) uses the User Centered Design method so that the desired system interface can be achieved. The results of the research are the design of online library website user interface wareframing using Figma with a User Centered Design approach that can help find solutions according to the needs of target users. Based on the test results, it shows that the User Centered Website Design approach has succeeded in helping to make the Online Library website interface informative, interactive and communicative according to the needs of target users.

Abstract

Inadequate use of technology in learning administration results in less than optimal efficiency in terms of time and file searches. There are often problems when it comes to the start of the semester, the end of the semester and the accreditation process related to archiving. The aim of this research is to develop ICT-based educational management in order to achieve the goals of learning by utilizing ICT-based technology. The method used is R&D research with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation & Evaluation) development model. This research produced data in the evaluation process with a score of 67.19% in the good category. Then the researchers made improvements according to the validator's suggestions and then carried out another evaluation to get a percentage of 85% in the very good category.
