Abstract

The older people population in Indonesia is predicted to continue to increase over the year. Increasing the number of older people will be a challenge for all. Older people might have decreased in the physiological body, especially in balance control such as changes in posture, changes in muscle strength, and visual decline. Balance disorder will increase the risk of falls caused and may result in the elderly being more susceptible to various diseases. Balance exercise such as Tandem Exercise is one way to reduce risk of fall. This research aimed to find out the effect of Tandem exercises on the risk of falling on the older people in Yogyakarta. This research was a Quasy Experimental study With Non-Equivalent Control Group Research Design. Samples of this study were 36 older people trough purposive sampling technique and divided into two groups. Group 1 was given 15 minutes Tandem exercise, every day in two weeks. Group 2 was a control group. The risk of fall was measured by The Time Up and Go Test. This study found that mean score of group 1 was decrease after intervention. This study also found that there was no significant different mean score of fall risk between two groups before intervention (p>0,05), meanwhile there was a significant different mean score after intervention (p<0,05). A significant different on risk of fall score before and after intervention also found in group 1 (p<0,05). In conclusion, health care provider should facilitate older people to participate in balance exercise such as Tandem exercise actively to decrease fall risk among older people.

This study's objective was to determine the relationship between Family role and the prevention and risk of PTM in adolescents. This research is analytic with a cross sectional design, carried out on 19 to 23 September 2022. The population and sample are all students in first semester, a total of 90 students. The results showed that students who had a good family role, the prevention efforts of students were in the good category as many as 19 (39.6%)and students who had sufficient family roles, the risk of PTM events in adolescents was in the high risk category as many as 11 (26.2%). The results of the statistical chi-square test yielded a value of  p=0.012 it can be concluded that there is a relationship between family role and efforts to prevent non-communicable diseases and the results of the statistical chi-square test yielded a value of   p= 0.039, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the role of the family and the risk of non-communicable diseases in adolescents in Makassar. Abstract

The dietary intake of nutrients and fluids holds paramount importance for patients afflicted with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis, as it significantly influences their overall well-being and quality of life. Mismanaged nutritional and fluid intake may lead to adverse clinical consequences, including the development of ascites and edema. Furthermore, inadequate implementation of a well-balanced nutritional and fluid regimen can result in the depletion of muscle and fat mass, thereby impacting the daily functioning of individuals grappling with chronic kidney disease. The correlation between patients' adherence to such dietary protocols and their ability to autonomously manage self-care further underscores the significance of this study. This quantitative research was conducted using a descriptive approach and a cross-sectional design to examine patient self-care and its alignment with nutritional and fluid diet adherence among chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis. The study was conducted at Bakti Timah Hospital and Depati Hamzah General Hospital in Pangkalpinang. This research primarily measured the degree of Self Care exhibited by Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease Undergoing Hemodialysis in adherence to a prescribed Nutritional and Fluid Diet. The findings unveiled a majority of patients (82.2%) adhering to dietary intake of essential nutrients, particularly staple foods. Conversely, the assessment of side dish consumption revealed a considerable proportion (62.7%) in the non-adherent category. Similarly, the description of mineral and water intake highlighted a majority (50.8%) falling into the non-compliant segment. Conversely, vegetable and fruit intake garnered adherence from a substantial number of patients (68.6%). Moreover, the assessment of self-care adherence in relation to vitamin consumption displayed a significant level of compliance (64.4%). In general, the self-care adherence to diet, nutrition, and fluids in hemodialysis (68.6%) was within the non-adherent category.

Abstract

Hypertension is a global health issue. It is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality. Therefore, the management and reduction of risk factors are essential to prevent and control the incidence of hypertension. The research aims to find out the risk factors associated with the incidence of hypertension in Puskesmas Matiti, Humbang Hasundutan District. This study is a correlation analytic study with a case control approach.. The population case is all the people with hypertension and the population control is the people without hypertension at Puskesmas Matiti. The research samples are composed of 32 people with hypertension and 64 people without hypertension. The samples are obtained using simple random sampling technique. Data are collected using questionnaires and analyzed using logistic regression test. The result indicates that sodium consumption (0.007<0.05) and obesity (0.025<0.05), both have a significant correlation with the incidence of hypertension. While smoking (0.054>0.05) and alcohol consumption (0.558>0.05), both have no significant correlation with hypertension incidence. The research concludes that the risk factors associated with the incidence of hypertension in Puskesmas Matiti are sodium consumption and obesity, with sodium consumption being the dominant factor. It is recommended to practice a healthy lifestyle by limiting the consumption of high sodium foods and maintaining the ideal weight by exercising and maintaining a healthy diet.

Nostrils breathing tehnique own benefit that is can strengthen whole system respiratory, overcome stress, lower pressure blood. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of nostril breathing on blood pressure. This type of research is a quasy experiment using the pre and posttest method without a control group design. The sample in this study was 20 people using a purposive sampling technique. The aspect to be measured in this study is blood pressure. The data obtained from the measurement results twice, namely blood pressure before and after the intervention was given. Statistical analysis used in this study is to use paired t-test. The results showed that the average blood pressure analysis before the nostril breathing intervention was given was (mean : 150.50) , and the average value after the intervention was given (mean : 139.00). The results of the analysis of the effect of nostril breathing on blood pressure using the paired t-test obtained a value of p = 0.000 (p <0.05 ) . Data analysis showed that there were significant differences between blood pressure before and after the intervention.

Abstract

The government has mandated that the JKN single-class system will be implemented in 2024. Currently, the Standard Inpatient Class at the Pratama Nusantara Health Medan Clinic (KRIS) has not been put into effect. The lack of implementation may be due to insufficient awareness, infrastructure, facilities, and workforce. To assess the readiness of the Pratama Nusantara Medan Clinic, this study examines its internal and external preparedness through qualitative research methods. The researcher's subjectivity is acknowledged, and data validity is ensured through triangulation methods, such as time extension, source triangulation, and data collection method triangulation. The study participants include the Head of the Clinic, the Health Services Section, the Jang Medium Section of Pratama Nusantara Health Clinic, Finance, and Patients. The data analysis employs SWOT, Fishbone, and VUCA models. The findings suggest that the Pratama Nusantara Medan Clinic is capable of adhering to the KRIS guidelines provided by DJSN. The Clinic's efforts to conduct outreach, maintain good patient relationships, enhance infrastructure, and expand inpatient buildings demonstrate its commitment to this policy and its positive impact on society.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the important steps in handling HIV Epidemic Cases. Three (3) stages must be carried out in controlling HIV, including (1) Improving health services, (2) Health education, and (3) Affordable financing. The location of this research was carried out in North Sumatra Province, especially in Medan City. The time this research was conducted was from August to December 2019. The samples in this study were taken as the selected information providers, namely leaders of community health centers, hospitals, health services, clinics, and heads of AIDS treatment and control. Based on the results of this research, it shows that if these three things are fulfilled, the cases of the HIV epidemic will decrease. Success or failure depends on satisfaction with the services provided, optimization, and support from professional health workers in their field. What is no less important is affordable financing from the government or private sector so that efforts to handle and control the HIV epidemic can be more effective, efficient, and targeted.
