Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of user generated content (UGC) credibility on brand image and brand trust, as well as test the role of brand image as a mediating variable in Mykonos perfume products. The background of this research is based on the increasing role of social media in shaping consumer perception and trust in brands, especially through user-generated content. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a descriptive type. The research sample amounted to 120 respondents who were selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method using SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results of the study show that UGC credibility has a positive and significant effect on brand image and brand trust. In addition, brand image has also been proven to have a positive and significant effect on brand trust. Other findings show that brand image is able to significantly mediate the relationship between UGC credibility and brand trust. This indicates that the credibility of user-generated content will be more effective in increasing brand trust if it first forms a positive brand image. The value of the determination coefficient shows that the model has a strong ability to explain the brand trust variable. Thus, this study confirms the importance of authentic content-based marketing strategies in building an image and trust in local brands. The practical implication of this research is the need for companies to encourage the creation of credible user content to increase competitiveness in the digital era

Abstract

This study examines community-based human resource transformation in coastal tourism development within remote coastal communities in South Nias, Indonesia. Coastal tourism is increasingly recognized as a strategic driver of regional economic growth, poverty reduction, and community empowerment. However, tourism development in remote areas often encounters challenges such as limited human resource capacity, low community participation, and dependence on external actors. This research explores how local communities transform their human resources to become active agents of sustainable tourism development. A qualitative approach was employed in Soto'ó Village, Maniamolo Sub-district, South Nias Regency. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and documentation involving community leaders, tourism actors, village officials, youth groups, women's groups, and local entrepreneurs. Data analysis focused on community experiences, social interactions, and collective learning processes. Findings indicate that Sotoó Village has a passion for promoting tourism, but limited human resources and minimal human resource development require improvement and restructuring through human resource transformation, such as awareness transformation, competency development, strengthening social capital, the emergence of community leadership, and socio-economic empowerment. This study proposes a Community-Based Human Resource Transformation model that emphasizes participatory governance, leadership development, and collaborative stakeholder engagement as the primary foundation for sustainable coastal tourism development

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of profitability (ROA), leverage (DER), and liquidity (CR) on firm value, as measured by Tobin's Q, among companies in the tobacco subsector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2012-2024. A quantitative causality approach was employed using the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) multiple linear regression method with Heteroscedasticity and Autocorrelation Consistent (HAC) standard errors using the Newey-West estimator (Bartlett kernel, fixed bandwidth = 4) on three sample companies: PT Gudang Garam Tbk (GGRM), PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP), and PT Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk (WIIM), with a total of 39 observations. The results indicate that, both partially and simultaneously, profitability, leverage, and liquidity do not significantly affect firm value (p > 0.05; Wald F-statistic = 0.776; Prob. 0.515). An R-squared value of 10.96% indicates that most of the variation in firm value is explained by factors outside the model that influence market sentiment. This finding underscores the uniqueness of the tobacco industry as a sector facing multi-dimensional pressures that cannot be fully captured through conventional financial ratios

Abstract

Logistics distribution is a crucial component of the supply chain that impacts a company's operational efficiency. Inaccuracy in allocating goods distribution can increase transportation costs and reduce the effectiveness of distribution services. Therefore, an optimization method capable of producing a distribution pattern with minimum costs is needed. This study aims to analyze the optimization of logistics distribution costs using the North West Corner Rule (NWCR), Modified Distribution Method (MODI), and Stepping Stone methods in determining optimal distribution solutions. The study uses a quantitative approach with a transportation model. The research data include distribution costs, supply capacity, and demand from several warehouses to the distribution area. The initial solution was obtained using the NWCR method, then its optimality was tested using the MODI and Stepping Stone methods. The analysis was carried out by comparing the total distribution costs generated by each method. The results showed that the NWCR method produced an initial solution with a total distribution cost of Rp154,000,000. After optimization using the MODI and Stepping Stone methods, the total distribution cost was successfully reduced to Rp128,500,000, or a savings of 16.56%. The MODI and Stepping Stone methods yield the same optimal solution, but the MODI method has a more efficient iteration process. The combination of the NWCR, MODI, and Stepping Stone methods has been proven to improve the efficiency of a company's logistics distribution costs. This approach can be used as an alternative decision-making tool for optimizing goods distribution and effectively managing the supply chain

Abstract

The green marketing mix encompasses environmentally friendly and recyclable marketing activities, including production processes, products, packaging, pricing, distribution, logistics, and promotion. The increasing significance of environmental issues has prompted stakeholders to prioritize sustainability in all systems and products. This approach aligns with the blue economy, which is closely associated with sustainable economic development and aims to ensure that current economic activities do not negatively affect future generations. As a result, future generations can continue to benefit from Indonesia’s abundant natural resources on both land and sea. However, in addressing present needs, environmental sustainability is often overlooked. The Mahakam River, which flows through Samarinda, serves as the city's primary water source and is vital to the community. It also functions as a transportation route for natural resources, particularly coal. This study analyzes the application of the green marketing mix in developing the blue economy in Samarinda, with the objective of increasing public awareness regarding the environmental impacts of economic activities and promoting environmental preservation. A qualitative research method was employed

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of foreign exchange reserves within an open economy framework by focusing on the roles of trade balance and external debt. In recent years, the stability of foreign exchange reserves has become a critical issue due to increasing external volatility, global economic uncertainty, and growing dependence on international trade and financial flows. This study aims to analyze both short-run and long-run relationships between trade balance, external debt, and foreign exchange reserves. The research employs an Error Correction Model (ECM) using quarterly data from 2016 to 2025. The results indicate that the trade balance has no significant effect in the short run but exhibits a positive and significant effect in the long  run on foreign exchange reserves. In contrast, external debt has a positive and significant impact in both the short run and long run. These findings suggest that foreign exchange reserves are influenced by a dynamic adjustment mechanism, where the real sector plays a dominant role in the long run, while the financial sector contributes more rapidly in the short run. The main contribution of this study lies in highlighting the asymmetric relationship between external sector variables and foreign exchange reserves, emphasizing the importance of adjustment processes toward long-run equilibrium. These findings are important for policy formulation aimed at maintaining foreign reserve stability through export strengthening, value-added improvement, and sustainable external debt management

Abstract

Refractive eye disorders—including myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia—are a vision health problem whose prevalence continues to increase in Indonesia. However, public access to adequate examination facilities remains very limited. Frequent overlap in symptoms between one disorder and another complicates independent identification without expert assistance. This study aims to develop a web-based expert system that assists the public in conducting initial screening for refractive eye disorders using the Certainty Factor (CF) method, based on knowledge obtained through interviews with certified optical refractologists at Optik Bringin Jogja. The system was built using the PHP programming language with the Laravel framework and MySQL as the database management system, and can be accessed through a browser without additional installation. The CF method is applied to gradually calculate a diagnostic confidence value based on a combination of expert and user CF values for reported symptoms. Functional testing using the black-box method shows that all system features function as expected. Accuracy testing was conducted on 50 patient records from Optik Bringin Jogja, resulting in an accuracy rate of 92%, with 46 of 50 cases matching the system's diagnosis to the optical refractionist's diagnosis. The results of the study show that the Certainty Factor method is effective when applied to refractive disorders with overlapping symptoms, making it suitable as an initial screening tool before patients receive further treatment from experts.
