Abstract

Nurses are health workers who are always there in every hospital and are a benchmark for hospital health services, so this is a major concern that management should not ignore because it will have an impact on the organization. The purpose of this study was to explore relationship between meaning of work and organizational commitment in nurses mediated by job satisfaction. Respondents in this study were 214 nurses with a minimum working period of one year in the hospital. Data collection methods in this study use a scale of (1) The Work and Meaning Inventory (WAMI), (2) Organization Commitment Questionnaire (OCQ), and (3) Job Satisfaction Scale from Scale for the Measurement of Some Work Attitudes and Aspects of Psychological Well-Being. The result showed that meaning of work positively correlated to job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Moreover, job satisfaction positively effects organizational commitment. The results of data analysis using simple model 4 mediator analysis from PROCESS by Hayes (2012) show that job satisfaction plays a significant role as a partial mediation on the relationship between meaning of work and organizational commitment on nurses. This means that nurses have high job satisfaction don’t necessarily have high organizational commitment. Conversely, nurses who have low job satisfaction don’t necessarily have low organizational commitment. Therefore, the hospital needs to make a program to increase the meaning of the work that nurses have because it can have an impact on the organizational commitment of a nurse.

Abstract

The study aims to examine mental health issues in Indonesia in several aspects including individuals’ awareness of mental health, individuals’ experience when accessing mental health information, services, and treatment as well as maintenance behavior after receiving treatment. This study is conducted using the cross-sectional method with a quantitative approach. The survey was distributed via social media platforms, and was completed by a total of 406 participants, ranging from 18-25. Data were then analyzed using the descriptive analysis technique.  Findings of the study include: 1) individuals’ awareness of the issue surrounding mental health was relatively high, 2) accessibility of mental health information was good although, may be further improved, 3) stigma surrounding mental disorders, financial hardships, and poor access to mental health professionals/therapists, are the deterring factors for receiving treatments, 4) there are many strategies to improve treatment satisfaction, such as community-based interventions, bettering the quality of digital mental health platforms, as well as the quality and quantity of mental health professionals across Indonesia. Overall, despite high individual awareness of mental health and accessibility to mental health information, there were many gaps identified within the mental health care in Indonesia that can massively benefit from interventional programs.

Abstract

This study discussed the meta-analysis of 17 literature studies that examined the relationship between career adaptability (CA) and career satisfaction (CS). Career satisfaction is a person's feeling of satisfaction that has achieved. Career adaptability is a person's ability to adapt to the environment, tasks, and work stress. The total number of participants in these 17 literature studies was 10,596. The analysis found career adaptability and career satisfaction had a medium to large effect size correlation of r = 0.422 (95% CI 0.351 - 0.493). The moderator variable of a continent variable where the study was conducted included, the effect size correlation yielded 0.3957 (95% CI -0.178 – 0.207). The continent represents the cultural diversity across the 17 studies conducted in various countries. The analysis involved the type of measuring instrument short/long-form found effect size correlation 0.4704 (95% CI -0.070 – 0.023). The Moderator variables did not affect the relationship between the two variables. This study has no publication bias with an Egger's Regression value of 0.902. The Moderator variables did not affect the relationship between the two variables. This study has no publication bias with an Egger's Regression value of 0.902. The significant implications in this meta-analysis emphasize the importance of replicating research on the direct relationship between career adaptability and career satisfaction. Replicating the study is crucial to enhance the external validity of the relationships between both variables.

Abstract

Intellectual disability is a disorder during a period of development characterized by deficits in conceptual, social, and practical aspects of daily life. The forward chaining technique is a chaining method in which each activity is arranged coherently and becomes a small series by teaching the first steps to success. The study aims to investigate the effectiveness of forward chaining technique in improving the teeth-brushing ability in children with mild intellectual disability. The hypothesis is that the chaining technique with forward chaining method is effective in improving the teeth-brushing ability in children with mild intellectual disability. The research method was a quasi-experiment with one group pretest-posttest design, using the purposive sampling technique with the criteria of children with mild intellectual disability, aged 6-11 years, experiencing barriers to intellectual functions, being adaptive, and unable to brush their teeth. Data was collected using assessment, observation and interviews. The assessment test tools were the CPM and Binet tests. The instrument was an observation sheet. Data were analyzed using the Paired Sample t-Test with a result of 0.04, so the Ha was accepted. It is concluded that the forward chaining technique is effective in significantly improving the teeth-brushing ability in children with mild intellectual disability.

Abstract

The Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) is a scale to measure a person's level of mindfulness. FFMQ has been used extensively in other countries. In multi-construct research, a scale with fewer items is needed but with a qualified psychometric value. The purpose of this study was to obtain a short version of the Indonesian FFMQ which has good psychometric properties. The research was carried out in three stages, namely the adaptation stage, the long form test stage and then the short form test. The sample of this study is Indonesian people who are over 15 years old. The results show that the short form has shown good results. This indicates that the short form version of FFMQ Indonesia has good psychometric properties.

Abstract

Most of the students were found to be accessing the internet outside of academic interests while concurrent with online learning. The use of the internet that is not relevant to academic activities is called cyberslacking. This study aims to determine the moderating role of nomophobia on the relationship between self-control and cyberslacking behavior in students when carrying out online learning. This research is a quantitative research type, the research subjects were 105 student respondents. Data collection tools are self-control scale, nomopobhia scale and cyberslacking scale. Data analysis has been done with Moderated Regression Analysis technique. The results showed that self-control has a direct effect on cyberslacking, while nomophobia does not moderate the effect of self-control on cyberslacking.
