Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model supported by the Canva application in science learning for fifth-grade elementary school students, as well as its impact on students' critical thinking skills and conceptual understanding. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design. The study was conducted in the fifth grade of UPT SD Negeri 060809 Medan Kota during the 2022/2023 academic year, involving 30 students and a teacher experienced in utilizing learning technology. Data were collected through observations and in-depth interviews, then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The results show that the implementation of Problem Based Learning aided by Canva successfully increased student engagement in learning, developed critical thinking skills, and enhanced students’ understanding of scientific concepts such as environmental pollution. Furthermore, the use of Canva allowed students to present information creatively and interactively, which also contributed to the improvement of their communication skills. In conclusion, the Problem Based Learning model supported by technology such as Canva is not only effective in enhancing students' understanding of the material but also promotes collaboration and creativity. This study recommends the implementation of technology-based Problem Based Learning in science education as an innovative and relevant approach to address educational challenges in the digital era.

Abstract

The research discusses the development of fan projection-based hologram media in increasing learning interest in class VII MTs N Palopo City. The research aims to determine the stages of media development, to find out whether it is valid or not in increasing students' learning interest in prayer procedures material. The research uses the R&D (Research and Development) type, and the ADDIE model stages: Analysis Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Subject students in class VII.H MTs N Palopo City. This research uses data collection techniques by means of interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis used is qualitative and quantitative. The results of the research obtained validation results from media experts 93% "very valid", material experts 88% "very valid" and the level of student interest in learning obtained 73.3% "interested". Based on this, it was concluded that the development of fan projection-based holograms to increase interest in learning about prayer procedures material in class VII MTs N Palopo City could be used as a learning medium.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an Augmented Reality (AR) Book for the Informatics subject for class X students of the TJKT 2 class at SMK Negeri 1 Pandeglang, with the goal of improving the quality of learning, which has previously been conducted in a conventional manner. The research method used is Research and Development (RnD) with the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) model, which consists of six stages: concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. The validity of this AR Book was assessed by subject matter experts and media experts, yielding very satisfactory results, with averages of 93.78% and 94.67%, respectively. This AR Book on Basic Computer Skills has proven to have high levels of validity, practicality, and effectiveness, making it an efficient learning tool to support Informatics education in vocational schools.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of technology utilization in classroom management. There is a need for new innovations in the creation of classroom management systems. The purpose of this research is to determine the validity and effectiveness of the classroom management system using the Learning Management System (LMS) in managing vocational subjects at SMKN 1 Pandeglang. This research uses the Research and Development (RnD) methodology, with the Rapid Application Development (RAD) model, which includes the stages of Requirement Planning, User Design, Construction, and Cutover. Data collection techniques in this study include observation, distributing questionnaires, and documentation. The data collection instruments used in this study are questionnaires in the form of validity, practicality, and effectiveness instruments. The data analysis technique in this study employs descriptive analysis in the form of results from tests of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Based on the research results, the validity evaluation by 4 validators received an average score of 86.6%, with a rating of "Very Valid," indicating that the Learning Management System (LMS) is suitable for use as a classroom management system. Additionally, the effectiveness evaluation by 35 students showed an average score of 93.2%, with a rating of "Very Good," indicating that the Learning Management System (LMS) is effective in classroom management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in Fiqh learning at SDN 18/1 Teluk and its impact on students' understanding. The application of PjBL in Fiqh learning is expected to increase students' active engagement and deepen their understanding of the Islamic religious concepts being taught. This research uses a classroom action research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles, involving observation, interviews, and student comprehension tests. The results indicate that the implementation of PjBL significantly improved students' understanding. In the first cycle, the average student score increased from 60 to 75, and in the second cycle, it rose to 85. Additionally, PjBL encouraged students to be more active, creative, and collaborative in the learning process. Despite some challenges, such as time management and task distribution within groups, PjBL proved effective in enhancing the quality of Fiqh learning. In conclusion, the PjBL model positively impacts students' understanding in Fiqh learning at SDN 18/1 Teluk.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the application of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in the teaching of Islamic theology (Aqidah) within Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects at SDN 021/1 Maro Sebo Ulu. This research was conducted over three months, from September to November 2024, involving 68 teachers and all students at the elementary school. The study utilized observation, interviews, and questionnaires to collect data. PjBL was integrated directly into the Aqidah learning process, where students worked on projects designed to instill moral values. Teachers acted as facilitators, guiding students through activities that promote religious character building. Observations and interviews revealed that teachers found PjBL helpful in engaging students more actively, improving their understanding of Aqidah, and fostering positive behavioral changes. The study also conducted a classic assumption test, including normality and multicollinearity tests, to validate the regression model used. The results showed no significant multicollinearity, and the regression analysis indicated a positive and significant effect of both the PjBL strategy (X1) and teacher involvement (X2) on students' Aqidah understanding (Y). The model demonstrated a moderate correlation (R=0.540) with 29.2% of the variance in students' Aqidah scores explained by the independent variables. Additionally, the F-test confirmed the overall significance of the model. This study concludes that PjBL effectively enhances students' theoretical understanding of Aqidah and contributes to the development of good moral character in their daily lives.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Modelling the Way strategy in improving the activity and ability of third-grade students at SDN 80/I Muara Bulian in performing obligatory prayers. This strategy focuses on teachers serving as role models in demonstrating discipline and the proper way of performing prayers, enabling students to observe and imitate the behaviors presented. The study employed a quantitative approach with a simple experimental design, involving a sample of 30 students divided into two groups: an experimental group that received the intervention through the application of this strategy and a control group that did not. Statistical analysis, including t-tests and ANOVA, revealed a significant increase in the experimental group compared to the control group. The regression coefficient for the Experimental variable was 0.163, with a t-value of 4.001 and a significance of 0.001, indicating a significant positive effect, while the coefficient for the Control variable was 0.411, with a t-value of 5.065 and a significance of 0.000, showing an even stronger influence. Additionally, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test results indicated that the residuals from the regression model followed a normal distribution (p = 0.565), confirming that the normality assumption was met. No multicollinearity issues were found in the model, as Tolerance and VIF values were within acceptable limits. These findings demonstrate that the Modelling the Way strategy is an effective method for establishing the habit of prayer among students, with teachers serving as key role models in the learning process. Furthermore, the study highlights the importance of the family environment in reinforcing the habits developed at school. Students who received parental support showed faster improvements in their prayer activities. Overall, the study indicates that role modeling in prayer practices by teachers, supported by a conducive family environment, can significantly impact the development of religious character in students, particularly in cultivating the habit of performing obligatory prayers.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of Project Based Learning (PjBL) combined with the question-and-answer method in improving student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for class VC at SD Negeri 13/I Muara Bulian. The study adopts a qualitative research methodology, focusing on the participation of all students in class VC during September. The research examines how the PjBL method allows students to engage actively in learning by completing projects related to PAI material, such as constructing prayer models or creating reports on Islamic ethics in daily life. The integration of the question-and-answer method plays a crucial role in clarifying students' understanding of complex material while encouraging critical thinking through interaction and dialogue. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of student project work and reflections. Observations revealed that students showed increased enthusiasm and participation during lessons, especially when given the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that applied religious teachings to real-life contexts. Teachers acknowledged that the question-and-answer method helped in identifying students' difficulties and allowed immediate clarification, leading to better understanding and active classroom interaction. Interviews with students indicated that they found the PjBL approach more engaging and practical compared to traditional learning methods. They expressed that they could better understand and apply the religious concepts they learned because of the hands-on nature of the projects. However, some challenges were noted, particularly for students who were more passive or shy, as they found it difficult to engage fully in group discussions and the question-and-answer sessions. The teachers recognized this issue and made efforts to encourage these students to participate more actively in the learning process. Overall, the research concluded that the combination of Project Based Learning and the question-and-answer method significantly improved student learning outcomes. It fostered a more active and engaging learning environment, enhanced students' understanding of the material, and developed critical thinking and collaboration skills. Although there were challenges, such as time management for project completion and ensuring equal participation among students, the overall effectiveness of this teaching approach was evident. The study suggests that this method can be applied as an alternative strategy in teaching Islamic Religious Education or other subjects that require practical and interactive learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the validity of online marriage contracts according to Islamic law by examining the perspectives of various schools of fiqh and Indonesian positive law. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through interviews and observations. To enhance data validity, the researcher used source triangulation. The findings show that scholars differ in their opinions regarding the validity of online marriage. The Shafi'i, Maliki, and Hanbali schools reject it due to the emphasis on physical presence, while the Hanafi school permits it as long as the offer and acceptance are conducted simultaneously, even if from different locations. In Indonesia, online marriage is not yet regulated by law, but the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) allows it if a representative is used. These findings reflect that, although technology allows for online marriage contracts, caution in adhering to the essential conditions of the contract remains a primary concern.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in preventing bullying behavior at SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Probolinggo. Bullying is a serious issue that can negatively impact students' mental health and social development. Therefore, it is important to explore strategies that can be applied to prevent such behavior in the school environment. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The research subjects include the Principal, Vice Principal, PAI teachers, students, and other relevant parties. The results show that PAI teachers play an important role in integrating Islamic values, such as tolerance, compassion, and mutual respect, into daily learning. Through the teaching of the Qur'an and Hadith, which are relevant to social issues, students are taught the importance of positive social interactions. Additionally, various extracurricular activities provide students with opportunities to engage in positive activities, thus reducing bullying behavior. Collaboration between PAI teachers, school staff, and parents has proven effective in creating a safe and supportive learning environment. This study concludes that a proactive, religion-based approach can be an effective solution in preventing bullying in schools.
