Abstract

Abstract This study aims to explore and comprehensively describe the efforts of teachers in fostering emotional maturity in children aged 5–6 years through storytelling activities at PAUD BKB Kemas Iqro. Emotional maturity is a critical foundation in early childhood personality development, encompassing the ability to recognize and understand one’s own emotions and those of others, express feelings appropriately, and regulate emotional responses in various social contexts. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, using observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, and documentation of learning activities. Twenty children from Group B participated in this research. The findings reveal that well-structured, varied, and interactive storytelling sessions encourage children to express their emotions more openly, enhance empathy, and develop better self-control. Teachers play a central role in this process, acting as facilitators, emotional companions, and role models in expressing feelings in a healthy manner. The selection of stories that resonate with children's daily experiences, combined with techniques such as reflective questioning and facial expression modeling, serve as key contributing factors. This study concludes that storytelling is not only a medium for literacy development but also an effective educational tool to support the growth of emotional maturity in early childhood.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of movement and song activities on the gross motor development of 4-5-year-old children at Cikal Preschool. The results indicate that movement and song activities have a positive impact on improving children's gross motor skills, such as jumping, running, and maintaining balance. These activities align with gross motor development theory, which emphasizes the importance of rhythmic and enjoyable activities for optimal development of children's large muscles. Research also shows that learning involving hands-on experiences and active play is highly effective for early childhood. The learning process at Cikal Preschool is conducted through preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages, which systematically assist in monitoring children's motor development. Despite challenges such as differences in developmental speed among children, overall, movement and song activities have proven beneficial in stimulating gross motor development in a fun and meaningful way.

Abstract

The effectiveness of educational management is largely determined by the clarity and balance of managerial function distribution within organizational structures. In practice, inappropriate role mapping often leads to overlapping responsibilities, weakened strategic decision-making, and the dominance of operational activities that marginalize conceptual and social functions. This study aims to analyze the distribution of conceptual, social, and operational functions in educational management structures and examine their implications for organizational effectiveness. A qualitative approach employing a literature review method was used through a systematic examination of educational management textbooks and relevant national and international journal articles. The analysis compares theoretical perspectives and empirical findings concerning managerial roles across different levels of educational organizations. The findings indicate that conceptual and operational functions vary proportionally according to structural levels, whereas social functions remain universal and inherent at all managerial levels. Balancing these three functions is essential for achieving effective, adaptive, and sustainable educational management.

Abstract

Islamic education holds a strategic position in Indonesia's national education system because it plays a role in holistically shaping the character, morals, and spirituality of students. This study aims to analyze the position, role, and implementation of Islamic education within the national education system, while also identifying challenges and opportunities for its development in the modern era. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research methods. Data were collected through a review of various scientific sources such as academic books, reputable journal articles, and relevant educational policy documents. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and analytically through the stages of data reduction, categorization, interpretation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that Islamic education has been normatively and structurally integrated into the national education system, as reflected in educational regulations and the existence of Islamic educational institutions such as madrasahs, Islamic boarding schools, and religious education in public schools. In practice, Islamic education contributes to the internalization of religious values, the formation of noble morals, and the strengthening of students' moral and cultural identities. The discussion shows that the integration of Islamic education into the national education system has made a significant contribution to creating a generation that is not only intellectually superior but also possesses moral and spiritual integrity. However, strengthening curriculum quality, enhancing educator competency, and fostering technology-based learning innovations are challenges that require a systematic response. Therefore, synergy between education policy, curriculum development, and adaptive pedagogical practices is necessary to ensure Islamic education can respond to the dynamics of societal development and global demands.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of mass media in shaping public perceptions of Islamic education policies in Indonesia. Mass media plays a strategic role as a means of disseminating information and shaping public opinion through framing, issue selection, and news presentation. The research method used is a qualitative approach with library research supported by content analysis of various media reports related to Islamic education policies. Data were collected from journal articles, online news, and relevant policy documents, then analyzed descriptively and analytically. The results indicate that mass media plays a significant role in shaping public perceptions through the construction of social reality influenced by editorial perspectives, vested interests, and media ideology. Positive reporting tends to increase public trust in Islamic education policies, while negative reporting can foster critical perceptions and even public resistance. Furthermore, the public's level of media literacy also influences how the public understands and interprets the information conveyed. Therefore, an active role is needed for the government, educational institutions, and the public to respond critically to information to create an objective and constructive perception of Islamic education policies.

Abstract

Work motivation and stress management are two important factors that influence human resource performance in an organization. High levels of motivation can encourage individuals to work optimally, while good work stress management can maintain employee psychological balance so that performance remains productive. This study aims to analyze the role of organizational motivation and work stress management in improving human resource performance. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review (SLR) design. Research data was obtained by searching various scientific articles, books, and academic publications relevant to the topics of work motivation, work stress, and human resource performance in organizations. The data analysis process was carried out through the stages of identification, selection, evaluation, and synthesis of relevant literature. The results of the study indicate that work motivation has a significant influence on improving individual and organizational performance. Factors such as rewards, a conducive work environment, leadership support, and career development opportunities can increase employee motivation in carrying out their duties. On the other hand, poorly managed work stress can reduce productivity, increase levels of work fatigue, and impact the quality of performance. Therefore, organizations need to implement effective stress management strategies through workload management, creating a healthy work environment, and strengthening organizational support for employee well-being. This study shows that the integration between increasing work motivation and implementing effective stress management can be an important strategy in improving human resource performance and creating a productive and sustainable organization.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of vision and mission in the strategic management of Islamic education and its implementation in educational institutions. Vision and mission are fundamental elements that serve as the direction and basis for policy formulation and strategic decision-making. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method at an Islamic educational institution. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used an interactive model that includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that vision and mission play a significant role in determining the direction of institutional development, improving management quality, and strengthening institutional identity. However, several obstacles remain in their implementation, such as a lack of stakeholder understanding, suboptimal socialization, and a mismatch between program planning and implementation. Therefore, a strengthening strategy is needed through internalization of the vision and mission values, increasing participation of all school members, and ongoing evaluation. The conclusion of this study confirms that the success of strategic management of Islamic education is greatly influenced by the clarity, consistency, and effective and sustainable implementation of the vision and mission.
