Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a non-communicable and chronic disease; this disease is also generally very closely related to people who are elderly and female. This study aims to determine the effect of age, body mass index, and blood sugar levels on the incidence of type 2 DM. The population of this study was 55,372, which was obtained from secondary data from the offline surveillance form SIPTM (Non-Communicable Disease Information System), Johar Baru Health Center, South Jakarta, 2020; the sample used total sampling. Data analysis using SPSS Ver.25, with bivariate (Chi-Square test) and multivariate (Logistic Regression Enter Method) analysis. The Chi-Square test results showed that the variables of age, body mass index, and blood sugar levels had an association with the incidence of Type 2 DM with a p-value <0.05. The multivariate test results showed that the most influential variable was the blood sugar level variable, with a p-value of 0.00, with OR = 93,302. This means that people with abnormal blood sugar levels have a 93,302 times chance of developing Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus compared to people with normal blood sugar levels. Therefore, the most effective preventive measure for this disease is maintaining blood sugar levels in a normal state to avoid the incidence of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, namely by diligently checking blood sugar levels and maintaining a healthy diet and life.

Abstract

Sectio caesarea (SC) is a surgical process to deliver a fetus through incisions made in the abdominal wall and uterus so that the fetus can be born healthy and intact. Caesarean section has life-threatening risks, one of which is the risk of infection. The quality of wound care must not decline after the patient is discharged, follow-up care at home will be very important. The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of discharge planning regarding wound care for wound healing in Sectio caesarea patients. This research was conducted at the BLUD of RSU Cut Nyakdhien Meulaboh. This type of research uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design through a one group pre-test post-test design approach. The research population was 35 people. The sampling technique uses saturated sampling. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire filled out by respondents and observation sheets. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate. Bivariate analysis using paired t-test (Paired T-Test). The results showed that the majority of wound healing before discharge planning was carried out was good. Wound healing after the majority of discharge planning was carried out very well. The significance value of p-value = 0.000 (p <0.05) then H0 is accepted. This means that there is effectiveness of discharge planning regarding wound care for wound healing in Sectio caesarea patients. It is suggested that this study can provide additional references for future research to discuss more broadly the factors that accelerate wound healing in Sectio caesarea patients.

Abstract

Caregivers are people who have an important role in helping the process of caring for stroke patients, spouses, children, family members, or friends. The study aimed to examine the relationships between the functional status of stroke patients and the burden on family caregivers. The research design was a descriptive correlation. The participants were be composed of 77 stroke survivors', and their families selected by simple random sampling from the Polyclinic Army Hospital TK IV 01.07.01 Pematangsiantar. Data was collected using a questionnaire consisting of demographic characteristics, Zarit Burden Interview (ZBI), and Barthel Index (BI). The Pearson Product Moment test used to identify the relationships between the functional status of stroke survivors and the burden on family caregivers. The main result found that the functional's status of stroke survivors was mild dependence (51.9%), and 76.6% of the burdens of family caregivers were mild to moderate. Functional's status was statistically negatively associated with family caregiver burden (r=-0.505, p<0.001). In conclusion, the burden of family caregivers increases the functional's status score of stroke patients. The study suggested that nurses should maintain to the functional's status as eating, dressing, bathing, dressing, toileting, bowel/bladder continence, walking, climbing stairs, and changing chair/bed, to reduce the family caregiver burden of stroke survivors.

Abstract

Nurses are one of the medical staff who play an active role in improving health development. The purpose of this study was to analyze the risk factors of nurse ergonomics for complaints of musculoskeletal disorders in the inpatient room of Rumah Sakit Umum Langsa. This research is analytic observational research with a case-control design. The population in this study were all inpatient nurses at Langsa Hospital. The sample involved in this study was 144 nurses, consisting of 72 people as case samples and 72 people as control samples. The sampling was done by purposive sampling. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the age, tenure, and work position of nurses were related to complaints of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), where older nurses (36-50 years) and long working years tended to experience MSDs complaints, as well as nurses who worked in positionswork that is not ergonomic is more likely to experience MSDs. Meanwhile, the gender of the nurse is not related to complaints of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) because both women and men have the same risk of experiencing MSDs complaints. This study concludes that the most at risk for musculoskeletal disorders is the work position variable. It is recommended that the K3RS team develop and implement SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) regarding the risk of patient handling for nurses at work, and conduct training related to patient handling or ergonomics activities for nurses.

Abstract

ANC services that have not fulfilled the 10 T standard are the cause of death. Many pregnant women were found to have incomplete records because laboratory tests for urine protein and complete tetanus immunization status were not carried out. This study aims to analyze the Analysis of Quality of Antenatal Services (ANC) according to the 2020 MCH Handbook. This type of quantitative research used the cross-sectional study approach which was carried out at the Sei Mencirim Health Center, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang from May to October 2022. A sample of 55 people was obtained using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis used the Chi-Suare test and Logistic Regression. The results showed that there was a relationship between reliability, assurance, physical evidence, empathy, responsiveness, and the quality of antenatal care according to the 2020 MCH Handbook. The variable that was most related was the physical evidence variable. This study concludes that the quality of the ANC examination is according to the MCH handbook, but there are several indicators from the 10 T that have not been implemented. It is suggested to Puskesmas to optimize service standards appropriately and provide information according to services as well as provide adequate ANC service infrastructure and have optimal assessment accuracy.

Abstract

Antenatal care is the care of the mother and fetus during pregnancy. Currently, the proportion of maternal deaths is approximately 305 deaths per 100 thousand live births, where the largest deaths occur in hospitals, around 77% of mothers cannot be saved, one of which is because the mothers who are referred to the hospital have severe complications. This occurs because identification and examination during pregnancy are not maximized. This study aimed to analyze behavior that influences ANC examinations in pregnant women at Working Area of Mamas Health Center, Southeast Aceh Regency, Aceh Province. This is analytical descriptive quantitative research. The population in this study were all third trimester pregnant women with late gestational age in the working area of the Mamas Health Center, Darul Hasanah District, Southeast Aceh Regency, Aceh Province in 2022 totaling 211 people. There were 68 samples in this study which were taken by Nonprobability Sampling using the slovin formula. Quantitative data analysis used univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. The results of the chi-square test obtained for age p= 0.000, education p=0.000, parity p=0.000, distance p=0.000, occupation p=0.000, knowledge p=0.000, husband support p=0.000 and attitude p=0.000 which indicated that there were influencing factors. The conclusion shows that there is a relationship between age, education, parity, distance, occupation, knowledge, attitude and husband's support with ANC examinations at Mamas Health Center in 2022, and the husband's support factor is the most Dominantly affect ANC examinations in pregnant women with an Exp(B) value of 4.691. It is expected that health workers at the Health Center to be more routine and intense in conveying health education to the community, especially to pregnant women and their husbands, about the importance of having ANC examination at least 6 times during pregnancy. Keywords: Age, Education, Parity, Distance, Work, Knowledge, Attitude, Husband's Support AND ANC Examination
