Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) is a summary composite index that measures a country's average achievements in three basic aspect of human development: health, knowledge, and income. HDI was introduced as an alternative to conventional measures of national development, such as level of and the rate of economic growth. The HDI measures in the three basic dimensions-health, knowledge and income. The HDI formula, health was measure by life expectancy at birth; education or "knowledge" by a combination of the adult literacy rate and school enrolement rates (for primary through university years); and income or standart of living by GDP per capita adjusted for puschasing-power parity (PPPUS$). For West Sumatera, showing positive progress of HDI attainment, however since 2004-2010 there was a stagnant rank nationally at the number 9 position of its HDI. There are four independent variable as determinant HDI in this research namely: income per capita, government expenditure for health and education, poverly rate and child mortality. Several treatmenr of statistical regression analysis of the these four variables showing different result. The best result showed by HDI = 69,929+0,001 IPC-0,001 KE-0,150 AKB. The F test value is 21,603, significant at a 1%. The R2 is 0,812 which mean 81,30% of HDI variation can be explained by income per capita, poverty rate and child mortality.

Abstract

Introduction: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a severe problem with a rapidly increasing incidence rate. DM can affect almost all segments of society worldwide. The number of individuals with DM continues to rise yearly due to the sedentary lifestyle and unhealthy eating habits prevalent in contemporary society. Objectives: This study aims to compare the effects of soymilk and red dragon fruit consumption on fasting blood glucose levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: The research design employed in this study is quasi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test approach involving two treatment groups. The study subjects were 54 individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus from Bukittinggi. The participants were divided into three groups: an intervention group of 18 individuals who consumed red dragon fruit daily for seven days, a second intervention group of 18 individuals who consumed soymilk daily, and a control group of 18. Comparison analysis is done using the ANOVA test. Results: The research findings indicate that the p-value is 0.035, and the calculated t-value (2.198) is greater than the tabulated t-value (2.110. Furthermore, the consumption of red dragon fruit impacted fasting blood glucose levels and blood pressure, as evidenced by a p-value of 0.018 for fasting blood glucose and a calculated t-value of 2.198, which exceeds the tabulated t-value of 2.110. The ANOVA results indicate that the effectiveness of red dragon fruit consumption is superior, with an average decrease in blood glucose levels of 32.56, compared to the effectiveness of soymilk consumption, which resulted in an average decrease of 22.50. Conclusions: Red dragon fruit is more effective in reducing blood glucose and blood pressure levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Children are the next generation of the nation who play a strategic role and have specal characteristics, so that guidance and protection is needed to ensure their growth and physical, mental and social development and development. Indonesian children aged 1-14 years experience violent discipline. This data is also strengthened from data from the Child Protection Commission (KPAI) which recorded that during 2019 there were 4369 public complaints received, and if we look at the case trends yearly, complaints about KPAI cases have increased in 2020 with a range of 4734. The PATBM program includes parents, family factors, and customs factors. The type of research to be used is this type of research is a type of Structral Equation Modeling research using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) data analysis techniques based on Smart PLS variance. The results of this study indicate that partially the economic and knowledge variables have a positive and significant effect on the case of violence in children with disabilities, while parenting patterns and social facts have no positive and insignificant effect on the case of violence against children with disabilities. For this reason, it is recommended that the local government, the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (DP3APPKB),the Public, the business world be able to make efforts to prevent and handle violence against women and children.
