Abstract

Advancement in science and technology have enormous influence in the field of education. The media is one of tool that has an important role so that learning becomes more attractive, have variation and not boring. Making ArcGIS software-based media in learning how to create a digital map function shows the image and informations  contained in the map so that students can understand well. The purpose of this study   are:(1) Describe the procedures for developing ArcGIS software media learning IPS mapmaterial. (2) To determine the extent of ArcGIS software can improve the results of student motivation. The data in this development was obtained from the initial trials through expert validation results media and subject matter experts. Then, the data is retrieved from field trials in the form of a questionnaire to 10 students. After that, the data was obtained from the questionnaire results of the field test to the class C in academic year 2013 major in Social Education UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The results of questionnaire before media was revised in field trials at 76%. While the results of questionnaire after media was revised in field trials at 83%. The results of questionnaire before media was revised in field testing at 80%. While the media after result was revised in field tests at 96%. The second stage shows the percentage of 85% and 84%. While the second phase material comprehension test showed results of 81% and 76%.Keywords: ArcGIS software, digital map

Abstract

Formal education is a systematic, structured, complex, and tired, started from elementary school until higher education. Informal education is a long life process. Because of its characteristics, this type of education is able to give a strong influence on individual personality development. Meanwhile, non-formal education is all kinds of education that are conducted deliberately, orderly, and planned. It is separated from formal education since it aims to educate certain students in achieving the learning objectives. This study aims to: (1) identify the non-formal education model of Mentari Ilmu 3 learning course institution in Sukun, Malang, (2) find out the result of the non-formal education program evaluation in Mentari Ilmu 3 learning course institution in Sukun, Malang, and (3) know the factors that inhibit and support the implementation process of Mentari Ilmu 3 learning course institution in Sukun, Malang. This study uses a qualitative method as a part of the procedure of the study producing descriptive-qualitative data in written and spoken form. The data are obtained from the people and attitudes observed. The data collection techniques are observation, interview, and documentation. The results of the study are: (1) the education model of the Mentari Ilmu 3 learning course institution in Sukun, Malang is non-formal education, in which the curriculum is made based on the K13 curriculum. (2) The results of the non-formal education program evaluation conducted in Mentari Ilmu 3 learning course institution in Sukun, Malang consists of general evaluation held by LAZIZMU and special evaluation held by the internal party of the learning course institution, (3) the factors inhibiting the implementation process of Mentari Ilmu 3 learning course institution program in Sukun, Malang are the untidy management system, minimum coordination and commitment from the tutor, unclear target, and a minimum number of educators.Keywords: education model; non-formal; learning course institution

Abstract

Forming the character of students is not an easy and quick effort. It requires continuous effort and deep reflection to make a series of moral decisions that have to be followed up with concrete action, so it becomes a practical and reflective. Need more time to make it becomes a habit or character of a person. Curriculum in Indonesia is still not touching this aspect of character, although there are lessons Pancasila and citizenship, but it is still a theory and not at the level applicable. Character education is character education plus, namely involving aspects of knowledge (cognitive), feeling (feeling), and action (action). Thus, without these three aspects, it will not be effective character education, and its implementation must be done in a systematic and sustainable. By giving the character education, is expected to change the paradigm of the nation's young people to be strong and have a good horizon.Keywords: Character and Character Education

Abstract

Hypertext and hypermedia are kinds of media software that interlink of text, image, graphic, video, and audio. The use of hypertext and hypermedia as a method on a blended learning situation make learning activity more interactive. Users can make connection between text, image, audio clips and video clips as a link or hyperlink. Cooperative skills of students in the methods Hypertex and Hypermedia through Blended Learning in social studies integrated together and learning process with the full meaning, because it is not only related to the achievement of the learning material, but students also learn to operate the computer well and social life when discussions group.The use of hypertext and hypermedia is effective to motivate students learning on of social science. Abstract

The objective this study is to find out the effect of cooperative learning tipe STAD toward students’ retention on Social Studies at fifth grade in elementary school. This study is experimental study using a quasy experiment. Design of study is nonequivalent control group design. Data analysis used the independent t-test is helped IBM SPSS 21. The result of study showed that p value 0.05 or statistic null is accepted. In short, there is no diffrerences cooperative learning tipe STAD toward students’ retention of grade fifth of elementary school on Social Studies. Suggestion for next researcher is to examine the effect of cooperative learning tipe STAD to other variable, expecially retention variable.Keywords: cooperative learning, STAD, and retention

Abstract

The problems that occurred in Junior High School Muhammadiyah 15 Lamongan is learners feel saturated with teaching methods of lectures from teachers without involving students to take an active role in learning. The students still lack creativity in learning IPS materials. This is because teachers are more active in the classroom by using lecture learning methods and learning media LKS. The purpose of this research is to: (1) to develop learning media of Snake Ladder social education subjects VIII grade Junior High School Muhammadiyah 15 Lamongan, (2) to know the feasibility of learning media Snake Ladder IPS subjects for grade VIII Junior High School Muhammadiyah 15 Lamongan students assessment of material experts and media experts. This thesis uses a research and development approach or Research and Development (RD) with the development model of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation Evaluation. The result of the research is (1) The researcher conducting field trials conducted to 15 students in the experimental group class VIII Junior High School Muhammadiyah 15 Lamongan. The field trial prototype gets an 87% percentage so that it is converted to a valid qualification level. (2) The feasibility of the media engineering aspects of the 21 statements is categorized as feasible. Assessment of the lecturer is 75% interesting enough the level of validity can be used with small revisions. Thus media ladder snakes in the assessment of media experts worthy of use as a medium of learning junior high school students. (3) Media learning snake ladder on the material changes in Indonesian society during the colonial period and the growth of nationalism spirit can effectively improve the learning outcomes of students of class VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 15 Lamongan. By looking at the average control class is smaller than the experimental class on the post-test that is 1262 1355.Keywords: development learning; snake ladder; learning media

Abstract

Indonesian population growth from year to year has increased, the population of Indonesia has incense for about 20 million people from the previous census data. Soybean is one of commodity most consumed by society census. Demand of soybean in this country 2,4 million tons per year, as much as 70% comes from imported soybean. Based on demand theory there are many factors that influence demand of goods, among others, the price of the goods themselves, the price of other goods, population, etc. Purpose of this research is to understand the elasticity of  soybean’s demand in East Java and what variable which have the highest elasticity. The result of this research shows that variable of soybean's price is in elastic towards demand of soybean while variable of corn's price, income per capita and population is elastic. Abstract

The aims of this study are (1) Describe the type of business and empowerment strategies are carried out on a group of craftsmen in the District of Camplong; (2) Describe efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in the economy in a group of craftsmen in the District of Camplong; and (3) Describe the obstacles faced in the community empowerment program to achieve economic independence in the group of craftsmen in the District of Camplong. This study used a  qualitative approach various case studies. The collection of data are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed by classified and reduction data, withdrawal the conclution. Results of this research show, First: Strategies undertaken MDW in community development programs in the District of Camplong includes 7 steps. The type of business of the group of which are: 1) Pastries An-Nur village Dharma in Camplong; 2). Mukenah Gallery 99 in  Tambaan villages; 3). Crackers Taddan in Taddan village; 4). Pastry Taddan in Taddan village; 5). Haji cap Ala Arabia in Taddan village; 6). Batik Mandangin in village Mandangin Island; and 7). Shoes in sejati village; Second: The efforts made by MDW to achieve economic independence in the group of craftsmen in the District of Camplong are: 1). Assistance to craftsmen / auxiliaries; 2). Changing the mindset of the community of workers / laborers to be a creator of employment / self-employment; 3). Facilitate group of craftsmen with the help of venture capital in the form of raw materials in accordance with their respective efforts; 4). Providing training for members of groups of craftsmen organized by the government or universities; 5). Building a partnership with a modern market in Sampang; Third: Obstacles encountered in community development programs in the district Camplong are: 1). Mindset and attitude of traditional society; 2). Weak human resources and low work ethic;  3).  Limited funding / capital; 4). Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the Intellectual Capital to Price Book Value through the Company's Profit calculated by measuring Return On Equity (ROE) and Return On Asset (ROA), so it can be described for the following problem formulation: (1) test the partial intellectual (3) testing the effect of intellectual capital on PBV through ROE, (4) testing the effect of intellectual capital on PBV through ROA. While the population of this study are all banking companies listed on the BEI 2011-2013. Determination of the sample is done by using purposive sampling method to obtain 18 banking companies listing in BEI period 2011-2013. The type of data used is quantitative and is secondary data obtained from Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) in 2011-2013. Data analysis using path  analysis technique (path analysis). The results of this study explain that (1) intellectual  capital has a significant positive effect on PBV, ROE and ROA, (2) ROE and ROA have a significant positive effect on PBV, (3) intellectual capital influence on PBV through ROE,(4) intellectual capital PBV through ROA. So the result of path analysis showed that Intellectual Capital influences PBV through ROE and ROA. ROE and ROA status as intervening variable that acts as a booster for the direct relationship of intellectual capital to PBV in banking companies listing on BEI 2011-2013. keywords: Intellectual Capital (IC), Price Book Value (PBV), Return On Equity (ROE) dan Return On  Asset (ROA).

Abstract

Perception is a process of delivering relevant information captured by the senses of the environment which then organizes it in its mind, interprets, experiences, and processes everything that happens in that environment. The factors of perception are a process of delivering relevant information captured by the senses of the situation, set, attention, value system, previous experience, selective attention. University is the level of education after secondary education, which includes diploma education programs, graduate, master, specialist, and doctorate, which are organized by the university. This research was conducted in an effort to reach the research objectives, namely: (1) To explain the perception of the entrepreneur in the Gudang Garam market Unit 8 Kediri city about the importance of continuing school children to university. This research uses qualitative approach and descriptive type, data collection is done by using the method of observation, interview, and documentation. Then the data has been collected in the form of words analyzed with Miles Huberman model. The results showed that: (1). An entrepreneur assumes continuing education of children to university is very important, (2). Entrepreneur send their children to university have hope that the children have a better future from than their parents, the goal is achieved, can become government employees or become civil servants and add insight to the knowledge of his son and as a bridge to achieve success in the future, (3 ). Past entrepreneur experiences greatly affect the entrepreneur’s perception of continuing his or her child's education to university as experienced by some traders, (4). Entrepreneurs have figures who influence their perceptions in educating their children.Keywords: Perception, Entrepreneur, University.
