Abstract

In Indonesia, the dangers of disasters such as floods, droughts, storms, and landslides have caused much loss of human lives and livelihoods, economic and infrastructure degradation, social order changes as well as environmental damage. In the face of disasters, the improvement of the system's preparedness in the community to reduce the risk of hazards is done through mitigation and adaptation efforts. Under Law No.26 of 2007 on spatial planning confirms disaster mitigation to be an important aspect of attention. Malang city of East Java including the recorded area is potentially prone to disasters, either flood, landslides, tectonic earthquakes or volcanic earthquakes. This study aims to determine the efforts of Malang City Government to improve community preparedness in facing the threat of disaster in Malang. The method used is positivism approach with qualitative approach. The result of this research indicates that the readiness of Malang City Government in facing disaster is with structural and non-structural mitigation. The structural mitigation effort that is done is the improvement of urban drainage channels, increasing the RTH and RTNH, incessant in the greening program by building a city park where as a tourist place is also useful for urban RTH, river normalization, reforestation on the banks of the Brantas river and other small rivers and cutting big trees on the street. While the effort in non-structural mitigation is the existence of regional regulations governing disaster (Malang Regional Regulation No. 1 of 2017 on Disaster Management Implementation, Strategic Plan (RENSTRA) BPBD Malang City 2015 - 2018), build synergy program with all actors (ministries, state institutions, social organizations, business entities, and universities) to empower communities, simulate increased knowledge and community awareness, increase community capacity to reduce and adapt to disaster risks by simulating and direction.Keywords: disaster; preparedness; mitigation

Abstract

SMPI al Ma'arif is truly beneficial since it is located around the site Singosari, however the students in this schools do not know the history of the site Singosari; even they have never visited the historical object at all. In fact, the material about Singosari kingdom is one of the mandates of the national curriculum. To develop historical literacy as an effort to preserve the site and develop a sense of affection among the students towards historical site, the use of the Singosari site is the right step. The author is using qualitative research approach based on naturalistic studies. The research findings show that historical literacy development among the students by utilizing the historical sites have been reflected in the RPP made by the teacher. In practical aspect, some historical literacy index zas developed by a teacher. The development of historical literacy by utilizing the historical siteshas changed the paradigm of historical fact memorization to improve the students' involvement in historical sources.Keywords: The Uise of Singosari Site, Literacy Ffistory of Students

Abstract

Social capital related with collective value in the social network which is growth-develop as the implication of reciprocal relationship that occur therein. Collective value is naturally creating and maintaining social capital. Increases, decreases, or the survival social capital   is depends on the collective values that exist in social network. In short, social capital is recognized has great influence from economic development and poverty reduction. In Indonesia to dig and take the hidden social capital need to be knitted trust of each element of this nation. Trust is media and first step to bind “Bridging Social Capital” of Indonesia. Ethic, religion, race, language, party, ideology, and other various primordial barriers should be fostered to strengthen social capital. Indonesia has been proven -through the struggle against the colonizer- that social capital in Indonesia is so “extraordinary”.Keywords: Social Capital, Development.

Abstract

Microeconomic theory course is compulsory subjects that must be taken a student of Social Sciences Education in UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Field conditions, it was found that students who prefer other subjects contained in Social Sciences such as sociology, geography and history than economic subjects, it is condition makes the results need to be improved. Many factors determine the learning outcomes of students, one of which is a learning style that is used. The purpose of this study is describe the influence of learning styles on student learning outcomes at the course of microeconomic theory in PIPS UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, while the type of research is quantitative research with data analysis using multiple linear regression. The results showed the influence of the learning styles of students in the course of microeconomic theory to the learning outcomes, partially and simultaneously there is a positive effect but not significant, so the study received Ho. This is possible because the students know learning style but is not accompanied by quantity and the quality of learning, and the views from there are as many models of determination values above 75% are influenced by other variables. Keywords: learning styles, microeconomic theory and learning outcomes

Abstract

The mosque is a non-profit institution, which organizes many religious, social, educational and da'wah activities. The activities held to depend on a lot of funds obtained from the community as a source of mosque funding. Based on the results of the study, the sources of mosque funding were obtained from charity boxes attached to the walls of the mosque consisting of the construction of mosques, infaq of mosques, those entitled to receive, orphans, and the poor. Also from the charity box during Friday prayers, regular and non-permanent donors. Based on the money obtained, the mosque held social activities, education, and da'wah. As the manager's responsibility to the public, monthly income and expenditure reports are always posted on the mosque's bulletin board so that all can see the report. Besides, it also sends special financial reports to regular donors. This financial transparency makes it easier for mosques to raise funds from the public. The preparation of the mosque's financial report involves the treasurer and daily staff, as is known by the chairman of the mosque's takmir as the person in charge. As a community organization, this mosque is also monitored directly by the public by publishing its financial statements.Keywords: mosque; religion; social; education; da'wah

Abstract

In order to achieve the authority cannot be separated from political culture in society, political culture according Ranney, there are two main components of political culture, namely cognitive orientations and affective orientations. Meanwhile, Almond and Verba more comprehensive reference on what formulated by Parson and Shils about classification of orientation types, that political culture contains three components as follows: cognitive orientation, affective orientation, and evaluative. In Indonesia also has various religions including Islam, Christian, Hindu, Buddha, and Konghucu. Sometimes, some people believe to witchcraft. Belief /religion of Indonesia people star from the simplest, for example fetishism, animism, pragmatism, and totemism. Belief and religion do not look traditional and modern societies even in Australia, America, and Africa totemism is a system that occupies the position as a religion and become the basis of social organization. Abstract

General problems faced by most of teacher to promote their learning are how to develop non-conventional learning strategy to motivate their students. It’s difficult to develop learning strategy that can promote student all of competencies, promote student values such a democratic and responsibilities values. It’s also difficult to develop learning strategy that make society as a learning resource. Along with the development of society and the advancement of technology, teachers are required to be more creative in setting up and designing the learning model. Inquiry learning model requires students to think smart, creative, participative, prospective and responsible. Inquiry learning model is believed to be able to change the learning process from teacher centered to student centered learning. This model roles the students become more active while teachers as facilitators and motivators in the learning process.Key words: Inquiry Learning Model

Abstract

In religious life can’t be separated with the social interaction, more people who have a different religious background, with the social contact between communities and spiritual values, of course, can build tolerance among religious people. The purpose of this study is to: (1). Describe the pattern of social interaction in developing an understanding of the community in Dodol Hamlet Village Wonoagung District Kasembon (2). Describe the forms of community tolerance Dodol Hamlet Village Wonoagung Kasembon District. To achieve the above objectives, a qualitative research approach with phenomenology is used. The key instrument is the researcher himself, and the data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed using data triangulation technique by digging data from various sources then exposing the data and drawing conclusions. From the results of the study found that the creation of harmony, because of each of the religious adherents of each other open and accept the existence of other religions. The existence of religious diversity that exists in Dodol doesn’t make the interaction between the people of Dodol to be tenuous and rigid, it actually makes its own beauty that can be seen in the pattern of community interaction Dodol citizens. In conducting activities that are social, Dodol people do not consider the majority or minority groups. They always instilled a strong sense of brotherhood and uphold the attitude of mutual help in their society. In relation to building religious tolerance, Dodol people generally have a very dynamic pattern of harmony. This can be seen from the pattern of religious social relations and social relations patterns, which will explain how the pattern of religious harmony that occurred in Dodol Hamlet. In addition, there are also factors that affect the tolerance that occurred in Dodol, namely: family ties, mutual respect, and respect between religious people and mutual help.Keywords: social interaction, tolerance, religious

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of Problem Based Leaning (PBL learning model to the student learning outcome. The research was conducted in Department of Social Sciences Education Faculty of Tarbiyah Education and Teacher ship UIN (State Islamic University) Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang academic year 2014/2015. The research subject was students of second semester that follow geology class. Research method in this research using quasi experiment and the design is Non Equivalent Control Grow Data analysis used t-test technique (independent sample t-test). The research result showed that the average gain score of experimental class was high, which is 24.46 than control class, which is 13.21. Computation result of data t-test analysis to the PBL learning model was obtainai p-lerel wich smaller than 0.05 (px0.05) with significance 2 tailed 0.00. This computation result proved that PBL learning model affected to the learning outcome. Thus, it could be concluded that PBL learning model affected to the geology learning outcome of student in UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.Keywords: Problem Based Learning (PBL), learning outcome

Abstract

Social Studies Education (PIPS) is one of the Department in FITK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Based curriculum of PIPS in 2010 is divided two of concentration. First concentration is Economic Education and the second concentration is Integrated Sosial Studies Education. Integrated Sosial Studies Education have been choiced more than 60% of students. This study aims to explain the factors that influence customers (student) behavior in choosing a concentration Integrated Sosial Studies Education. Data obtained from the questionnaire and then analyzed using quantitative descriptive method. The results showed that the main factor influencing consumer behavior in choosing Integrated Sosial Studies Education is Personal factor (74.70%), second factors is Psychologi factor (68.27%), Cultural Factors 50.60% and the last factor is social factor (39.76%).Keywords: Customers (Student) Behaviour, PIPS and Consentration
