Abstract

Background: Infancy was a golden period for children's growth and development, so it needs special attention. One of the factors that influence a baby's growth and development was sleep and rest. If the baby's sleep was disrupted then the child's physical growth will be disrupted, the cognitive and emotional development of the baby will be disrupted and this will affect the development of the brain and the potential that should develop will be lost. Baby spa was one of the useful non-pharmacological therapies which was to increase the concentration of the baby and make the baby sleep well. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of Baby Spa on sleep quality of infants 3-6 months. Methods: The design of this research was pre-experimental, one group pretest-post use a brief infant sleep questionnaire (BISQ). The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a sample of 31 infants. Statistical analysis used wilcoxon signed rank test. Results: Results of studies that had been carried out obtained frequency of sleep quality is p=0,001. That suggests baby spa were effective for improving sleep quality. Conclusion: Baby SPA was effective for improving the quality of sleep for infants 3-6 months. for mothers who had babies to add insight about the Baby Spa, because Baby Spa had many benefits, including regular sleep patterns

Abstract

Background: End-stage acute and chronic kidney disease requires hemodialysis as an option for treating kidney failure. Hemodialysis patients are reported to experience depression and anxiety affecting blood pressure. Controlling blood pressure during hemodialysis is an important factor in supporting the success of hemodialysis treatment. Interventions that can be given to support anxiety management to have stable blood pressure in hemodialysis renal failure patients were intradialityc exercise and foot hand massage.Method : The research design used was pre-experimental in the form of one-group pre-post test design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample size of 20 respondents. Data analysis for data normality used shaphiro-whilk, for general data univariately used frequency distribution tables, while bivariate analysis in paired groups used the Wilcoxon statistical test with a significance level of ≤ 0.05.Result: The treatment of intradialityc exercise and foot hand massage had an effective effect on the physiological response to the anxiety in patients of renal failure with hemodialysis, including p value: systole blood pressure 0.003, diastole 0.015. Intradialytic exercise and foot hand massage given to patients of renal failure under hemodialysis treatment had an effective effect on the physiological response to the anxiety of systole and diastolic blood pressure. Conclusion : Intradialytic exercise and foot hand massage had an effective effect on stabilizing blood pressure and were recommended to be used as a non-pharmacological nursing

Abstract

Background: A hospital is a health service facility that allows nosocomial infections, namely phlebitis. Phlebitis is a complication of intravenous catheter placement that is characterized by redness, pain, swelling, and fever. The high rate of phlebitis in various countries is due to the risk factors that predispose to the incidence of phlebitis due to intravenous catheter placement. Objective: This study aims to determine the risk factors for phlebitis in intravenous catheter placement.Methodology: This study uses an observational analytic method with a cohort design. The study was conducted on 27 February - 14 March 2020 with 22 samples taken using purposive accidental sampling in the inward and RST surgery Dr. Soedjono Magelang. The instrument used was an observation sheet designed by researchers that had been tested by experts and a standard operational checklist for infusion. Data analysis uses a chi-square test and multiple logistic regression. Results: The incidence of phlebitis was 7 respondents (31.8%) and the associated risk factors were the type of infusion fluid (RR = 4.37 CI 95% 1.09-17.58; p-value 0.020). While the factors of age, sex, nutritional status, chronic diseases, types of injection drugs, insertion location, duration of installation, nurse skills, installation techniques, and catheter size were not related to the incidence of phlebitis (p-value 0.05).Conclusion: Although several factors are not related to the incidence of phlebitis, these factors can be a support for the incidence of phlebitis.

Postoperative pain affects the mother to delay breastfeeding and interferes with the lactation reflex, so the mother needs time to recover. Breast milk production affecting by two hormones: the hormone prolactin and the hormone oxytocin. A message from the mother's spine can stimulate the hormone oxytocin. This study aims to clarify the effectiveness of oxytocin and breast care massage on maternal milk production after SC. Methods This type of quasi-experimental study is only a post-experimental design with a control design. The population of this study were mothers who had SC during March and May 2021. 44 respondents were selected based on random sampling. This study was divided into two groups. Intervention group: mothers after SC received oxytocin massage while control. Results: The results showed that the average weight gain of babies on day 3 of the oxytocin massage group was 85 grams and 256 grams on day 7 of the massage. While the mean weight gain of children on day 3 in the Maternal Care group was 52 grams, and on day 7, the mean weight gain of children was 155 grams. Based on bivariate test results shows that oxytocin massage has more effect significantly in breast milk production of post-SC mothers (p-value: 0.000). Conclusion Therefore, in the case of mothers after SC Willing to receive oxytocin massage treatment to promote milk production.

The respondents of each group were selected randomly. The research instruments were Omened digital weighing scale and observation sheets. Breast milk production was measured based on the increase of infant weight in 7 days during treatment and converted to breast milk volume in ml. Data Analysis using Independent t–Test. Results:The research results show a significant effect of pumpkin leaves on breast milk production of postpartum women with Independent t-Test statistical test results (p-value 0.001) < (0.05). Show that the average of breast milk volume on treatment group is 103.29 ml and on control group is 45.15 ml. It is obtained from the measurement of infant weight that increases by 363.73 gram on the treatment group and 159.00 gram on the control group with an average difference of 204.73. Abstract

Background: Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP) can cause the patient's length of stay in the ICU to be prolonged and can cause infection so that if not treated, it can cause sepsis in patients who can eventually lead to death. Toothbrushing with the right frequency for patients, namely toothbrushing using 0.2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate liquid 2 times a day or 3 times a day, especially for intubated individuals, is essential to prevent the occurrence of Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in the effectiveness of toothbrushing using 0.2% chlorhexidine gluconate, three times a day and twice a day on the incidence of Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia. Methods: This study is quantitative research with a descriptive approach with a quasi-experimental method with a post-test only non-equivalent control group design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, with a total sample of 16 patients who were toothbrushed twice a day and 16 patients who were toothbrushed 3 times a day. The instrument used to assess VAP incidence was an observation sheet consisting of a Clinical Pulmonary Infection Score measurement result sheet. Results: The results showed that the effectiveness of tooth brushing using chlorhexidine gluconate 0.2% with a frequency of 2 times a day was 81.3%, and a frequency of 3 times a day was 75%. Data analysis using chi-square showed p-value = 0.500. Conclusion: there is no difference between the effectiveness of toothbrushing using 0.2% chlorhexidine gluconate with a frequency of 2 times a day or 3 times a day. It is recommended that ICU nurses perform toothbrushing using 0.2% chlorhexidine gluconate fluid routinely, either 2 times a day or 3 times a day in patients on a ventilator.
