Abstract

The government's attention to vocational graduates has recently become a hot issue and various programs have been carried out by the government to improve the quality of vocational graduates, therefore they can compete. However, the BPS data in 2018 shows that the number of unemployed graduates from vocational school (SMK) is the highest, namely 11.24%, while Senior High School (SMA) is 7.95% and Junior High School (SMP) is 4.80%. Based on the problem, Study Program of Management, Faculty of Business, President University implemented a community service program that supports government policy, namely by providing Entrepreneurship Education to students of Amanah Bangsa Informatics Vocational School, Cikarang. With this entrepreneurship education, SMK graduates are expected to start a business as an alternative after graduating later. Entrepreneurship education is given in the form of seminars for Class XII students conducted by lecturers and students. In addition to providing lecture material on Entrepreneurship, students who have carried out business projects also share their experiences while opening a business, doing business until business liquidation as part of Entrepreneurship Course. The point is that students want to convey that starting a business is easy and has many challenges that are very suitable for millennials, and can apply all our abilities. The event was closed by giving a memento to the Vocational School and certificates to the participants.

Abstract

This community service activities aims to deepen public understanding in making financial records and reporting correctly and making the financial statements as a basis for investment analysi. The investment analysis method used is a discounted cash flow model to determine whether the investment is undervalued or overvalued. The community in this activity are students of SMK Bina Nasional Informatika, North Cikarang. The implementation phase of this activity includes a field survey, coordination with the school principal, the implementation of a financial report socialization program as a basis for stock investment analysis, and preparation of the report. The socialization activity went smoothly attended by 28 Accounting students in class XII. Socialization participants seemed enthusiastic about the material provided. This can be seen from the beginning to the end of the event, all participants followed well. Based on the results of interviews, questions and answers and direct observations, community service activities have increased the knowledge of students by as much as 80% about how to prepare good financial statements and conduct stock valuations using financial statements.

Abstract

Coffee is a mandatory drink for some people, both man and woman. It is very delicious to be enjoyed, especially in the morning before the move, or during rush hours at work. Coffee is like a friend whose always present in any condition. Increasing coffee trends make the coffee business increasingly widespread. Many ways have been done by people to do coffee business. Ranging from simple coffee business such as street vendors to starred restaurant. High competition makes the coffee business must be good in innovating. Armed with the ability to mix coffee, then a number of students and lecturers of President University Majoring in Management made an idea to mix coffee with cinnamon. The concoction of cinnamon coffee is simply packaged 250 ml plastic bottle, which is then sold at very affordable prices both online and offline. The ability to mix and do cinnamon coffee business is then transmitted to other communities, that is the students of Akademi Komunitas Presiden. The principle is sharing, sharing knowledge, sharing experience, and sharing cheerful.Keywords: Coffee, Cinnamon, Business, Industry.

Abstract

Dalam era teknologi informasi saat ini, guru merupakan tenaga pendidik profesional yang perannya sebagai pemateri sudah bisa digantikan oleh teknologi itu sendiri. Menyikapi kondisi tersebut, para guru dituntut untuk bisa berfungsi sebagai fasilitator yang mampu mengembangkan kreativitas dan dinamika dalam menggali potensi sumber dan media pembelajaran sehingga diharapkan perannya sebagai penyampai tetap diperlukan yang pada akhirnya bisa tetap menjaga kualitas belajar mengajarnya. Untuk itu, guru dituntut untuk bisa menjadi fasilitator yang membekali dirinya dengan wawasan dan keterampilan dalam pengembangan dan pembuatan media pembelajaran yang mutakhir dan menyesuaikan situasi dan perkembangan zaman. Dari diskusi dan interaksi yang dilakukan terlihat bahwa para guru di SMA Cikarang pada umumnya masih mengalami kesulitan dalam beradaptasi dengan metode pembelajaran yang melibatkan media teknologi informasi. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah karena masih kurangnya sarana dan prasarana yang dapat menunjang keaktifan dan semangat murid dalam belajar, serta para guru yang masih belum bisa dan terbiasa dalam membuat media pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan lingkungan dan zaman siswa. Oleh karena itu tim pelaksana memberi Pelatihan Pembuatan Media Pembelajaran kepada Guru-guru SMA di Kabupaten Bekasi dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan efektivitas dan kualitas proses pembelajaran di SMA pada akhirnya akan menunjang tercapainya tujuan pendidikan di sekolah sasaran.

Abstract

At this time, community does not understand classes of drugs that can be purchase or stored at home. This can have two impacts, positive and negative. The positive impact is community become more responsive to health, while the negative impact is increasing use of drugs which raises problems related to how to get, use, store and dispose of drugs properly or commonly known as Dagusibu. This community service activity aims to educating housewives as "pharmacists" in the household regarding how to get, use, store, and dispose of drugs properly in Kedanyang Village RT/RW 003/003, Kebomas, Gresik. Method that we use in this community service is counseling and training using property and followed with monitoring. We use questionnaire for monitoring a month after counseling and training. Our method to counseling and training involve several variable, including Question of 5”O”, Get, Use, Save and Discard (Dagusibu). The result shows that this activity is effective with the percentage of correct answer for each variable are above 75%, including question about 5”O" as much as 97%, get 84.38%, use 87.14%, save 76%, and waste 93%. This proved that the method chosen in this community service is appropriate, where the community still remember and understand.

Abstract

Community empowerment in sustainable development will not be successful without citizens’ participation, both village officials, cadres and the community itself. Community empowerment is an effort to increase the community independency, both individually and in a group. The lack of knowledge and understanding the residence of Kedung Sumber Village, Balongpanggang, Gresik regarding the use of natural resources around them, encuorages this community empowerment program. Moringa Oleifera is a local resources that could be utilized in improving the welfare of the community. This community empowerment program introduces the way how to create some products using Moringa Oleifera. Some products than can be produced are ice cream, puding, and nugget. Therefore, this program is expected to increase the community independency, both individually and in a group.

Abstract

The number of people with HIV/AIDS in the world is increasing. The introduction of HIV/AIDS in the early adolescent phase needs to be done with a language approach that is easy to be understood and remembered. One of them is the approach to vocabulary recognition in the field of HIV/AIDS. The purpose of this community service activity was to discover the application of HIV/AIDS introduction through HIV/AIDS vocabularies. The method used was pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design which began with pre-test, the provision of HIV/AIDS vocabulary materials through power points and distribution of HIV/AIDS vocabulary sheets. This experiment was ended by doing post-test. The final results showed an increase in the average score of 26.71% with significancy 0,00<0,05.. Thus, the introduction of HIV/AIDS through HIV/AIDS vocabularies is an effective effort to facilitate the early introduction of HIV/AIDS on to students in their early adolescent to avoid the dangers of HIV/AIDS.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan atas kerjasama antara pihak dusun Barong Birak dan organisasi kepemudaan/kerelawanan (OKP) yang ada di Pulau Lombok. Kegiatan pengabdian Sosialisasi Gempa adalah sebuah konsep yang ditujukan bagi masyarakat desa pasca terjadinya gempa bumi di Pulau Lombok. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di dusun Barong Biak, Lombok Utara. Kegiatan ini diperuntukan bagi anak-anak dan pemuda usia sekolah dan juga masyarakat dewasa dalam rangka pengetahuan tentang mengendalikan risiko pada becana gempa bumi. Pengetahuan masyarakat yang rendah terhadap manajemen bencana seperti gempa bumi, dan bagaimana mengasuransikan diri mereka terhadap adanya bencana gempa bumi menjadi suatu hal yang cukup menghawatirkan. Akibat rendahnya managemen masyarakat ini, akhirnya Ketika bencana terjadi, hilangnya harta, rumah, akibat bencana secara finansial tidak mampu ditanggung oleh masyarakat. Sehingga dengan adanya sosialisasi ini, diharapkan masyarakat dimulai dari anak-anak dan pemuda memiliki pengetahuan tentang eksistensi dari adanya asuransi gempa bumi. Metode yang dgunakan dalam sosialisasi ini adalah metode group diskusi dan presentasi, dan diselingi dengan game interaktif. Implikasi dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, diharpkan mampu mendorong masyarakat untuk mulai mengasuransikan dirinya dan asset yang dimiliknya. Selain sosialisasi asuransi, pada pengabdian ini juga diadakan sesi trauma healing dan bale belajar sebagai bentuk edukasi dan penguatan psikologis anak-anak atas bencana alam yang telah mereka alami.

Abstract

Sexual harassment is still considered irrelevant to voice, let alone to fight for. People tend to put more concerns on family honor, and even consider sexual harassment as a shameful act and degrading their family’s name. Apart from at home, sexual harassment also often occurs in public places—public transportation, workplaces, schools, and other public facilities. Saling Jaga is a forum that voices concerns on sexual harassment that occurs in public spaces, and is the result of a collaboration amongst 3 undergraduate programs, (1) Law, (2) Communication Studies, and (3) Visual Communication Design, at President University. Saling Jaga forms a team that is hailed as Guardians. The purpose of this movement is to raise the awareness of everyone who witnesses sexual harassment in public places and has the courage to look after each other (bystander intervention) through activities in the form of socialization on Instagram social media, exhibition installations, and seminars to secondary schools in Kuningan.

Abstract

Hasil pengamatan dan wawancara dengan guru, kepala sekolah serta Ketua HIMPAUDI Kecamatan Bandung Wetan terungkap bahwa persoalan belum adanya aplikasi yang membantu kinerja guru dalam membuat rencana pembelajaran dan pelatihan tentang teknologi khususnya komputer menyebabkan guru-guru tidak memahami konten yang perlu dimasukkan ke dalam rencana pembelajaran dan cara memanfaatkan teknologi. Pengisian angket terhadap 10 guru PAUD menunjukkan data permasalahan terkait, diantaranya: (1) 90 % guru belum membuat rencana pembelajaran secara rutin atau teratur, (2) 80 % guru belum paham dalam membuat rencana pembelajaran, (3) 90 % guru belum memanfaatkan teknologi komputer (manual) untuk mempermudah pembuatan rencana pembelajaran (4) 100 % guru belum mempunyai aplikasi rencana pembelajaran berbasis komputer.  Solusi yang diberikan antara lain: peningkatan kemampuan guru-guru PAUD dalam membuat rencana pembelajaran secara rutin atau teratur dengan menggunakan aplikasi pada setiap tahun ajaran agar guru selalu siap saat mengajar tidak terkendala dengan kegiatan pembelajaran yang akan diberikan kepada peserta didiknya serta pelatihan dalam menyusun rencana pembelajaran. Kegiatan pelatihan guru PAUD Non formal ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 18 Maret 2021 yang dihadiri oleh 16 orang guru PAUD di wilayah Kecamatan Bandung Wetan. Evaluasi pelatihan dilakukan melalui uji t-Paired. Dari hasil perhitungan didapat p-value sebesar 0.006. Dengan derajat kepercayaan 95%, karena p-value kurang dari 0,05, hal ini berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan peserta sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan.
