Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of digitally differentiated Arabic language learning for students with special needs in the Integrated Islamic Elementary School at SDIT Darul Falah Sukoreo Ponorogo. It is case study research involving seven students with special needs at SDIT Darul Falah. The data collection technique uses observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis is carried out by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions drawn. The study results showed that Arabic at SDIT Darul Falah Sukorejo Ponorogo is a lesson within the framework of an informal curriculum that must be taught to regular students and students with special needs. Second, the Arabic learning methodology for students with special needs focuses on the self-esteem approach, which aims to increase student confidence, which can affect Arabic's motivation and learning outcomes. Third, Digital Differentiated Arabic Language Learning for students with special needs uses more digital media such as audio-visual media, animated graphics, and educational and social media; this effort is carried out on the principle of second language learning (B2), which must involve the needs of students, especially students with special needs. Digitally differentiated Arabic learning has shown its effectiveness in improving the quality of learning. This digital media can help students with special needs to understand and interact with Arabic more easily. Teachers at SDIT must be trained to use the self-esteem approach and digital technology to learn Arabic. This is so teachers can effectively teach students with special needs.

Abstract

This research further examines and analyzes the fulfillment of the basic psychological needs of subjective wellbeing of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah children through Eudaimonic Activities. The mixed methods design used in this research provides a strong framework for capturing the diverse nature of children's experiences with eudaimonic activities. This research was carried out at Jatinagor Elementary School. The population is fifth-grade students at Jatinagor Elementary School. The sampling technique used in data collection is convenience sampling. Participants in this study were pre-adolescent students aged 11 to 12 years. The number of participants in this study was 81 children. Data analysis was carried out by calculating the overall score obtained from the BPNFS and SPANE measuring instruments and then averaging them. The interesting finding was that playing online games was a common form of entertainment among the participants. This suggests that digital play can be an important aspect of children's lives, potentially contributing to their eudaimonic wellbeing if managed appropriately. These insights pave the way for further research into how online games can be integrated into educational environments in ways that support children's developmental needs. Additionally, the results of this study provide concrete examples of eudaimonic activities, which can be invaluable for educators and parents who wish to understand and develop children's innate potential.

The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with SPSS. The results showed that after the group counseling sessions, there was an increase in self-confidence among the students: 5 students experienced an increase in self-confidence to the high category, and three other students experienced an increase to the very high category. The data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test revealed that the sig (2-tailed) value was less than 0.05, specifically 0.011, indicating that group counseling using the client-centered technique effectively enhances the self-confidence of students who experience body shaming.

Abstract

This comparative study investigates the relationship between nutritional obesity, body mass index (BMI), and resting heart rate (RHR) among practicing and nonpracticing students at the University of Zakho. The research aimed to identify the correlation between BMI and variables such as weight, height, and resting pulse, as well as to determine if there are significant differences in BMI and RHR between practicing and nonpracticing students. The study employed a descriptive approach with a comparative method of correlational relationships, using a sample of 71 students from the Departments of Physical Education and Sports Sciences and General Psychology. Key findings include a strong positive correlation between BMI and body weight, a positive correlation between BMI and RHR, and a non-significant correlation between BMI and height. The study also revealed significantly higher mean BMI and RHR in the nonpracticing group compared to the practicing group. These results highlight the beneficial effects of regular physical activity on weight management, obesity prevention, and cardiovascular fitness. The insights gained from this study can inform the development of targeted interventions and health promotion strategies to address obesity-related concerns among university students.
