Abstract

This study discusses the development of the Student  Worksheets based on Problem Based Learning on the function limit material at the Private SMA Budisatrya Medan based on valid, practical, and effective criteria. The development on this learning device uses the Thiagarajan 4-D development model, in this study the writer only up to 3-D stage, namely: definition, design,  and development. The result of the research on the development of the Student Worksheets based on Problem Based Learning  on the function limit material at the Private SMA Budisatrya Medan fulfill the valid criteria based on the result of the assessment of 5 validators by filling out an assessment questionnaire with an average score of 3,9 and being in the good category, the are practically abtained through a student response questionnaire with an average score of 4,07 and are in the good category, and are effectively obtained through student learning outcomes tests with an average score of 75% and are in the good category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi dan self efficacy siswa terhadap materi pokok Lingkaran sebelum dan sesudah diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan contextual teaching and learning (CTL) dikelas VIII SMP Negeri 17 Medan. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 315 orang. Dari populasi ini ditetapkan 70 siswa sebagai sampel yakni kelas VIII-5 dan VIII-6. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Tes yang digunakan adalah pretes dan posttes pada meteri pokok Lingkaran masing-masing 5 soal untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi menggunakan angket untuk mengukur kemampuan self efficacy. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes. Nilai gain diperoleh dari rumus Meltzer dengan hasil : untuk kelas eksperimen 1 nilai gain minimum = 0,32 dan maksimum = 0,96, sedangkan untuk kelas eksperimen 2 nilai gain minimum = 0,16 dan maksimum = 0,63. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan signifikan dalam peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi siswa antara yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan contextual teaching and learning (CTL), (2) terdapat perbedaan signifikan dalam peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi dan sefl efficacy siswa pada level pengetahuan awal matematika tinggi, sedang dan rendah, (3) tidak terdapat interaksi antara pendekatan pembelajaran dan level pengetahuan awal matematika siswa terhadap peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi dan self efficacy.

Abstract

The population growth rate of an area is influenced by several factors including fertility, mortality and migration. Meanwhile, population counts are usually carried out through a population census which is carried out every 10 years. As a metropolitan area, every year North Sumatra experiences a very rapid population growth rate. The population growth rate can be modelled with a stochastic model. In stochastic modelling refers to the percentage calculations for fertility, mortality and migration in predicting for the next census year period. Meanwhile, to calculate the population, you can use numerical methods, namely, forward newton Gregory polynomial and reverse newton Gregory polynomial. The method used in this study is a literature study where the data source used is secondary data and in this case, the researcher analyzes between three census periods, namely the period 1980 to 2010 and then predicts the period of the next census year. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the three models in predicting the population of North Sumatra in the census period. For stochastic modelling, the prediction results obtained for the year 2010 are the percentage of total birth rate or fertility reaching ± 17.67%, the mortality reaches ± 39.61% and the migration reaches ± 42.72%. For 2020, the probability that the percentage of total birth or fertility is ± 16.83%, the mortality is ± 33.85% and the migration is ± 49.36% and for 2030 the probability of the percentage of total birth or fertility is ± 16.98%. the mortality reached ± 34.28% and the migration reached ± 48.74%. And for the forward newton Gregory polynomial method and the reverse Gregory newton polynomial, the total relative error is obtained respectively while for the reverse newton Gregory polynomial method the total error value is. Referring to the error value, the advanced Newton Gregory polynomial method has better accuracy.

Abstract

Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah: 1) Untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Group Investigation. 2) Untuk mengetahui perilaku kerjasama dan kemandirian belajar peserta didik setelah diterapkanya model pembelajaran Group Investigation. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI-IPA SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Utara T.P 2019/2020 yang berjumlah 3 kelas dan sampel yang diambil 1 kelas dengan teknik pengambilan purpose sampling. yaitu kelas XI-IPA2. desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Pre-Experimental design dengan desain Pre Test and Post Test Group. Instrumen penelitan adalah lembar test dan lembar angket (kuisioner). Data-data yang diperoleh dari hasil pre-test dan post-test yang diberikan kepada peserta didik dianalisis dan hasil analisa nya adalah pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh hasil uji Paired Sample T-Test  dengan cara menggunakan program SPSS 22 diperoleh nilai sig dari taraf signifikansi yaitu 0,000 0,05 dengan diperoleh nilai yaitu 14,251 2,750 maka kesimpulan Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima maka kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik meningkat setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Group Investigation, dan data dari hasil pemberian angket pada peserta didik dapat dilihat peningkatan Hasil dari pemberian angket mengalami peningkatan perilaku  peserta didik dari setiap aspek penilaian, seperti pada aspek perilaku kerjasama dan kemandirian belajar sebelem diterapkannya model pembelajaran Group Investigation hasilnya ialah  60,00% dan 59 % dengan kriteria (cukup baik) sedangkan setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran Group Investigation hasilnya ialah 78,23% dan 79,30% dengan kriteria (baik).

Abstract

Abstrak. Pemecahan masalah matematika merupakan salah satu tujuan penting dalam pembelajaran matematika bahkan proses pemecahan masalah matematika merupakan jantungnya matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan jenis penelitiannya adalah quasi eksperimen (eksperimen semu) sebab kelas yang digunakan telah terbentuk sebelumnya. 1) Adanya perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe STAD dengansiswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Ekspositori pada materi turunan fungsi aljabar kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Secanggang. 2) Terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran Koopertif tipe STAD dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Ekspositori pada materi turunan fungsi aljabar kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Secanggang. 3) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan motivasi belajar siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran Koopertif tipe STAD dengan siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Ekspositori pada materi turunan fungsi aljabar kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Secanggang Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif, Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD), Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah, Motivasi Belajar, Pembelajaran Matematika Abstract. Abstract

To find out the increase in the ability of mathematical understanding in learning calculus I semester II students of mathematics education study programs on the subject of functions and limits, we need a learning media in the form of Geogebra applications. Geogebra applications is one of the calculus I learning media that can be used to demonstrate or visualize mathematical concepts as well as a tool to construct concepts mathematically. The sample in this study was 54 seconds semester students of the mathematics education study program, Faculty of Education, University of Timor using purposive sampling techniques. The method used in this study is a pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. Analysis of the data in this study used the non-parametric Mann Whitney test. Based on the results of the N-gain score test, it shows that the average N-gain score is 58.4251 or 58.4%, which results are included in the quite effective category. Thus, the use of Geogebra applications in learning calculus I in the second-semester students of mathematics education study programs is quite effective in improving students' mathematical understanding of learning calculus I.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of parental attention and learning motivation on mathematics learning outcomes of seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Pematangsiantar. Parental attention and learning motivation data obtained from an instrument in the form of a closed questionnaire distributed online via google form with good quality because it is valid and reliable. Meanwhile, students' mathematics learning outcomes were obtained from the school's documentation of grades. The test results show that there is a direct effect of parental attention on learning motivation with a t-count of 2.1309 and a significance level of 0.08325; there is a direct effect of parental attention on student mathematics learning outcomes with a t-count of 2.42875 and a significance level of 0.13768; there is an indirect effect of learning motivation on student mathematics learning outcomes with a t-count of 2.58298 and a significance level of 0.14988; there is an indirect effect of parental attention and learning motivation on mathematics learning outcomes. As for the contribution given by parents' attention and learning motivation to mathematics learning outcomes was 28.75% and the total effect was 42.327%. Therefore, the higher parental attention and student motivation, the higher the learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the contribution of interactive quiz media Quiziz media to improving student learning outcomes of Mathematics Education study program. The research used was quasi-experimental with a research sample of students of the mathematics education study program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra, class of 2017. The techniques and data used were questionnaire and test methods. The results of the calculation using the t-test obtained that the value of tcount is 2.134 and when compared with the value of ttable is 2.004, obtained tcount ttable. The data shows that the student learning outcomes in the geometry transformation subject using interactive quiz media are better than those without using media. Abstract

Tujuan penalitian melihat efektif  Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa Berbasis Etnomatematika Pada Mata Kuliah Kondep Dasar Matematika SD di STKIP Singkawang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek coba penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 2 kelas yakni kelas pagi (kelas A dan kelas B) prodi PGSD STKIP Sigkawang. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui analisis kuantitatif. Uji statistik menggunakan uji t, uji z dan uji anova.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKM berbasis etnomatematika menunjukan : (1) kemampuan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa setelah diterapkan LKM berbasis mencapai ketuntasan secara individual, (2) kemampuan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa setelah diterapkan LKM berbasis mencapai ketuntasan secara klasikal, dan (3) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa yang diterapkan LKM berbasis etnomatematika, simpulan  kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika mahasiswa mencapai ketuntasan individual dan klasikal, serta adanya perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika setelah diterapkan LKM Berbasis etnimatematika.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of the guided inquiry learning model to the reasoning ability of students. This research is a quasi-experimental study using two groups of samples (experimental and control) that have been declared normal and homogeneous. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 27 Medan in 8th-grade students with two classes sample, each class with 40 students. The instrument used was in the form of a reasoning ability test consisting of pretest questions (6 items) and posttests (3 items) which have been declared valid and reliable. The results showed that in the guided inquiry class, students 'reasoning ability was influenced by the KAM value of 66%, while in the expository class, students' reasoning ability was influenced by the KAM value of 71.3%. This shows that the contribution of KAM in the guided inquiry class is smaller than the contribution of KAM in the expository class on reasoning ability (66% 71.3%).
