Abstract

Swamp buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) play an important role in supporting the economy and social life of the community in the East Sumba Regency. The prevalence and intensity One of the diseases still a health problem in livestock, including buffalo, is parasite infection. Research on cases of parasite infection in buffaloes in the East Sumba Regency has not been widely reported. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the parasites that infect the buffalo as well as to measure the prevalence and infection rates. The coprological examination of 105 samples of swamp buffalo feces from the East Sumba Regency was conducted in this study. The simple flotation and the modified McMaster method were used to identify and measure the degree of infection of Nematode, Cestode, and protozoan oocyst, while the modified Danish Bilharziasis Laboratory (DBL) method was used to detect the presence of Trematodes. The results showed that 67 out of 105 buffaloes (63.81%) had parasite infections, which were caused by a single (44.76%) and mix infection (19.05%). The prevalence of infection with Nematodes, Trematodes, and Protozoan oocysts in males (73.33%) was much higher than in female (60.00%) buffalo; nevertheless, the chi-square test results showed that sex was not associated with the prevalence of parasites infection cases (p>0.05). Age was a risk factor that had a significant effect (p<0.05), with the young age group having the highest odds ratio (OR) value (5.80), followed by the age group of the calf (3.10), and pre-weaned calf (2.98). The highest to lowest infection rates were observed in Cestodes (547.03 EPG), followed by Protozoa (220.70 PG), Nematodes (84.75 EPG), and Trematodes (2.18 EPG). The present study shows that buffalo in East Sumba Regency are infected with several parasites, so control must be made to prevent losses due to the infection.Keywords - Bubalus bubalis, East Sumba, fecal examination, gastrointestinal parasites, the prevalence

Abstract

Electronic modules are electronic teaching materials that are arranged systematically, covering competencies that will be mastered by students and equipped with an attractive appearance. Sigil is an e-book maker application with a product format in the form of epub. This study aims to describe the validity and practicality of the Electronic Module Using Sigil Application Oriented the Scientific Approach to Environmental Change Materials for Class X High School Level. The study is part of Research and Development which refers to the 4-D model, which consists of 4 main stages, Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The subjects in this study were 9 students of class X SMAN 7 Banjarmasin. The instrument used is a student response questionnaire. The results of the practicality test obtained an average percentage of 88.54% (very practical) with a percentage of 88.00% in the display aspect (very good), 92.44% in the material presentation aspect (very good) and 85.18% in the benefits aspect (very good), overall it is categorized as very practical and can be used by students.Keywords - Electronic module, Sigil application, Scientific approach, Environmental change

Abstract

Sinjai Regency is a city that produces many specialty drinks, one of which is Minas (Sinjai Typical Drink) which is a type of fermented drink because it is made from cassava tapai and has a thick yellow texture. This research focuses on the development of the Minas business, which is vulnerable to the risk of rising raw material prices and declining selling prices. The purpose of this research is to do a feasibility study of the Minas business to improve the economy of the people engaged in the business. This study uses a 5 aspect approach, namely, (1) market aspects, (2) technical aspects, (3) management aspects, (4) environmental aspects, (5) socio-economic aspects of culture. The financial aspect of this study shows the PP value for the Sinjai specialty beverage business is 4.63 years, and a positive IRR value of 1.41%, which means that the business is feasible. The Net B/C value of the Minas production business is 4.63. This means that for every Rp. 1 spent  the business will generate a net profit of Rp. 4,63.Keywords : Sinjai specialty drinks, mina's business feasibility, financial aspects, non-financial aspects

Abstract

PT. Angkasa Pura II Soekarno Hatta Airport branch office provides facilities in the form of an Automated People Mover System (APMS) or Skytrain. The facility is an unmanned flyover that functions as a facility in moving between terminals at Soekarno Hatta Airport. The Automated People Mover System (APMS) facility is connected to the airport train through an integrated building, making it easier for passengers to go to or from the Soekarno Hatta airport terminal. The purpose of this study was to determine the criteria for public interest in the use of the Automated People Mover System (APMS) based on the criteria used by researchers. The criteria of the research are aspects of ease/accessibility, comfort, security and time efficiency. The study used a mixed method approach in the form of collecting data from filling out questionnaires and interviews with a number of sources, namely experts in charge of service and facility Automated People Mover System (APMS). The methodology in this study uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process analysis tool super decision software version 2.10.0. The results of the study indicate that the criteria for public interest in the use of the Automated People Mover System (APMS) is to prioritize the convenience criteria over other criteria. The weight or value of the criteria used is the highest criterion is the comfort aspect with a weight of 37%, then the security aspect 22%, then the ease/accessibility aspect 21% and the time efficiency aspect 19%.Keywords - APMS, Soekarno Hatta Airport, Facility, AHP, Super Decisio

Abstract

Manufacturing industry is one of industrial sector in Indonesia that interesting to research. Based on Indonesian GDP in 2015, this sector has a contribution up to 21.13 percent. Most of production process in manufacturing industry used to machining process. One of them is lathe. Moreover, HR preparation is needed, due to have knowledge about this machine. One of them is using machine simulator called “Lathe Simulator 1k62”. The purpose of this research is to find out user experienced of “Lathe Simulator 1k62”. The research method is giving several tasked to respondent, then to fill the User Experienced Questionnaire (UEQ) to find out the Attractiveness, Perspicuity, Efficiency, Dependability, Stimulation, and Novelty. The result found that all of the respondent had complete the assigned task. The UEQ, found that “Lathe Simulator 1k62” in generally had positive value, based on Attractiveness, Perspicuity, Efficiency, Dependability, Stimulation, and Novelty all above 0.8. Furthermore, user experienced of “Lathe Simulator 1k62” had “good” category compared to other software.Keywords: User Experienced, UEQ, Usability, Simulator

Abstract

This research is based on the fact that many domestic sugar industries operate inefficiently and have low productivity, which is seen when compared to other countries such as Thailand, India and Australia. This study aims to identify and analyze problems along the flow of the white crystal sugar production process that cause waste and then make suggestions for improvements to reduce existing waste to increase cost efficiency in the production process. The national sugar factories generally have a basic problem, namely the low level of factory efficiency, which causes a lot of waste along the flow of the production process. The right concept for solving this problem is the implementation of the Lean manufacturing method, where this method focuses on efforts to reduce waste along the flow of the production process by making continuous improvements. The research begins with a literature study and field study and then conducts observations, analyzes, brainstorms, extracts and collects data from each work unit. The first stage begins with the define which will identify all forms of waste along the production process flow, measure to determine the most critical waste, analyze to identify the factors that cause waste in the production process, improve to carry out improvement plans, and reduce waste that occurs in the production process, and control as an evaluation of improvement results. The efficiency of the production process before the improvement is 78.7%, with improvements expected to increase production efficiency by 87.0% or an increase of 8.3 points.Keywords - Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, Value Stream Mapping, Waste, Production Efficiency

Abstract

Dekke Na Niura is a typical traditional food of Batak Toba tribe which is made from fermented carp. Dekke Na Niura can act as a source of probiotics because it contains good microorganisms, namely Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB). Several types of LAB are known synthesize exopolysaccharides (EPS), which are polysaccharide polymers considered important for health. Therefore researchers want to know whether dekke na niura can act as functional food evidenced by the presence of LAB and its potential to produce EPS. The presence of bacterial isolate on dekke na niura was detected by dilution series-pour plate method on MRSA (deMan Rogosa and Sharpe Agar) medium, then confirmed as LAB by morphological and biochemical characterization. The isolates believed to be LAB were then tested for their potential to produce EPS. The results showed that in dekke na niura, LAB isolates were found by UB1, UB2 and UB3 and then all of them identified as Lactobacillus. The three isolates showed the potential for EPS production with a weight ranging from 2490-3490 mg/L. This weight is known to be greater than the weight of EPS produced by commercial LAB isolates.Keywords – Carp, Dekke Na Niura, Lactic Acid Bacteria, Exopolisaccharides

Abstract

Technology in government is a breakthrough in managing and disseminating information about government to the public. The existence of technology that is applied in a government hope can provide flexibility and transparency for the community and complete complex tasks. The purpose of this study is to build an Android-based e-government information system in Tanjung Rejo Village that can provide services and information to the people of Tanjung Rejo Village and the general public. Data collection methods used in this study were observation, documentation, interviews, and literature study. While the method used in designing e-government by following the information system development life cycle (System Development Life Cycle), generally consists of the stages of analysis, design, implementation, and use. The case study of this research is e-government in Tanjung Rejo village. This research can produce an e-government planning document in Tanjung Rejo village. From the results of the e-government design in Tanjung Rejo village, it is hoped that it will make it easier for village officials or residents to convey and obtain information related to Tanjung Rejo village quickly and accurately. An Android-based e-government information system can be used and applied in the process of submitting village activity and potential data. Further research can be developed by adding several more varied features and can add mobile GIS and GPS systems.Keywords - E-government, Public service, Information system, Utilization of information technology

Abstract

Kulat basi (Termitomyces sp.) adalah jamur yang banyak ditemukan di Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu. Jamur ini memiliki kandungan mineral yang tinggi dan kemampuan sebagai antioksidan yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan 11 mineral (Cr, Fe, Cu, Mn, Zn, Ni, Mg, Ca, K, Na, Co) dan jenis senyawa fenolik pada tubuh buah kulat basi (Termitomyces sp.). Tubuh buah jamur dikeringkan menggunakan oven kemudian diekstraksi dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut metanol. Analisis kandungan mineral dilakukan dengan Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) sedangkan analisis senyawa fenolik dengan Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa urutan kandungan mineral tubuh buah kulat basi dari yang terbesar hingga terkecil adalah K>Mg>Fe>Cr>Na>Mn>Zn>Cu>Ca>Ni>Co. Mineral yang paling banyak terdapat dalam tubuh buahnya adalah kalium (18,74 ± 7,65 mg/kg) sedangkan paling sedikit adalah kobalt (0,003 ± 0,001 mg/kg). Senyawa fenolik pada ekstrak metanol tubuh buah kulat basi terdiri atas 5 senyawa dengan total kelimpahan sebesar 35,86%. Senyawa terbanyak adalah ethanol, 2-(9,12-octadecadienyloxy).Keywords - Termitomyces sp., kulat basi, mineral, phenolic compound

Abstract

Pengendalian Level pada sistem deaerator penting untuk dijaga guna meminimalkan penyebab korosi pada sistem boiler. Pada PLTU Pertamina RU II Dumai, deaerator menggunakan kendali PI dengan nilai tetap  Kp 300, dan Ki 1,5, kendali PI masih memiliki error steadystate dan kendali PI masih mengalami error yang menyebabkan turunnya level deaerator dibawah 50% disebabkan gangguan internal dan eksternal serta rise time yang lama hingga 4 jam untuk mencapai keadaan steady, dalam wawancara pada PT Pertamina RU II Dumai normalnya hanya sebesar 30-60  menit. Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan perancangan kendali MRAC-PD dengan metode MIT Rule untuk mengendalikan karakteristik non linear pada level deaerator, dan memperbaiki performansi rise time, error steady state, serta settling time.   dengan data yang diperoleh melalui PT. Pertamina RU II Dumai. Pemodelan deaerator  menggunakan persamaan pendekatan kesetimbangan massa.  Dengan koefisien gamma -50, Kp 0,04, dan Kd 50 yang didapatkan melalui metode heuristic mendapatkan hasil kendali MRAC-PD tanpa gangguan dengan rise time 33,39672 detik, settling time kriteria error 2% selama 53,1145893 detik, serta rentang error dari setpoint sebesar 0,000029428 meter, hal ini menunjukkan hasil yang baik dibandingkan  menggunakan kendali PI. Dalam uji gangguan, kendali MRAC-PD dapat kembali ke dalam keadaan steady lebih cepat di bandingkan kendali PI.Keywords - Control, Deaerator, Level, MRAC, PD
