Abstract

Kontrasepsi yang efektif memerlukan cara  yang  aman, murah, resiko yang ringan dan bersifat reversible dengan memanfaatkan sumber daya alam nabati, seperti daun pepaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jus daun papaya terhadap aktivitas spermatogenesis tikus putih. Dua puluh ekor tikus putih jantan berumur 3 bulan dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok perlakuan, yaitu P1 (tanpa diberi jus daun papaya), P2 (diberi jus daun papaya 5 g per hari), P3 (diberi jus daun papaya 10 g per hari), P4 (diberi jus daun papaya15 g per hari). Semua perlakuan dilakukan selama satu bulan secara oral. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jus daun papaya yang diberikan selama satu bulan dapat menurunkan aktivitas spermatogenesis tikus putih.

Abstract

Proboscis monkey (Nasalislarvatus) is a species of primates endemic in Borneo. According to South Borneo Governor's Decree No. 29 Year 1990 dated January 16 at1990, proboscis monkey is set to be a mascot fauna of South Borneo Province. The habitat of proboscis monkeys are usually found along the rivers and swamp areas in Borneo. Research of proboscis monkeys who live in mountainous areas are still very rarely done so little known by the public. Therefore , to determine the condition of proboscis monkeys in a habitat of them to do research on the structure of the population. The purpose of this study was to calculate the number , density and age structure of the population pyramid illustrates the proboscis monkey (Nasalislarvatus). The method used is descriptive method by calculating the concentration technique (concentration count). The study was conducted on a population proboscis monkey (Nasalislarvatus)  in the area of BatuSawar Mount in Hulu Sungai Tengah District. Data analysis was performed by direct calculation during primate visible. The largest number of individuals encountered on a whole series of observations is assumed as the number of individuals that represent a group, whereas the smallest number of individuals encountered is assumed that the other individual is not visible at the time of observation.The observation of the proboscis monkeys (Nasalislarvatus) found in the area of research were adult proboscis monkey amounted to 17 with a density of 0,028 ind / ha, totaling 23 juveniles proboscis monkey with a density of 0.038 ind / ha, and child proboscis monkey amounted to 13 with a density of 0,022 ind / ha. The population structure of proboscis monkey (Nasalislarvatus) in the area of BatuSawarmountain in Hulu Sungai Tengah district if depicted using the age pyramid, the pyramid form a jug or bowl.Keywords: Proboscis Monkey, population structure, Batu Sawar Mountain

Abstract

The learning process in the classroom will work well with the active participation of students in the activities in it, which can increase interest and motivation and deepen understanding of ongoing learning, especially in this digital era. Most student learning activities cannot be separated from what is called a smartphone or device. many learning resources that can be accessed by students, one of which is the "Mutasi ver 1.1" application for android. Mutation application ver 1.1 is an Android-based product that can be developed as a learning medium for students while mutation is an abstract 12th grade Biology Concept and tends to be difficult for students so it is interesting to develop. This development research aims to provide an overview of the validity and practicality of the learning process facilities for the Mutation Application ver 1.1. This development research uses a 4D model but only reaches the Development stage. The results of the development of the Mutation ver 1.1 application show that the application is very effective with a value of 94.80% and practical with a value of 85.27% as a learning process for the concept of Mutation for class XII.

Abstract

Learning media is needed because the media can be used as tools or additional teaching materials in addition to textbooks and worksheets. The use of learning media can increase students' motivation and interest in learning. Ecosystem material flip chart media is expected to be a solution in the learning process so that not only teachers but also students are active in the learning process. This study aims to describe the validity of flip chart learning media in class X ecosystem material. This study uses Research and Development (R & D) research methods and the ADDIE development model, through the stages of analysis (analyze), design (design), development (development) and implementation (implementation). The validity test was obtained from 3 validators according to their expertise. The data was obtained through an assessment instrument in the form of a validity assessment sheet. The results of this study indicate that flip chart learning media obtained an average validity value of 91.67% on the physical appearance aspect, 96.67% on the illustration aspect, 94.43% on the media quality aspect, and 100% on the attractiveness aspect. Based on the values obtained from the four aspects, the overall average value was 94.44%, so it can be concluded that the flip chart learning media has a very valid category.

Abstract

Pada konsep sistem rangka manusia, siswa SMP Negeri 24 Banjarmasin bermasalah pada proses pembelajaran yaitu pembelajaran kurang bermakna dan siswa tidak dapat memecahkan permasalah nyata pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Di samping itu, siswa mudah bosan dalam mengikuti pembelajaran karena terlalu banyak teori dan hafalan. Permasalahan tersebut mengakibatkan rendahnya hasil belajar. Penelitian bertujuan meningkatkan hasil dan proses pembelajaran konsep sistem kerangka manusia pada siswa SMP Negeri 24 Banjarmasin. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri atas 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan tindakan: pelaksanaan tindakan; observasi dan analisis; serta refleksi. Adapun dalam prosesnya mengkombinasikan model Inkuiri terbimbing, TGT dan Jigsaw. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbaikan kualitas aktivitas guru dari siklus; Aktivitas belajar siswa menunjukkan kualitas baik sampai baik sekali; pada siklus I nilai rata-rata hasil 80,23 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 80 %. Pada pada siklus II nilai rata-rata 98,86 dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 100%. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran konsep sistem rangka manusia siswa kelas VIIIF SMP Negeri 24 Banjarmasin menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar dengan dicapainya ketuntasan belajar klasikal; Aktivitas guru ada yang turun dan ada yang naik sesuai dengan tuntutan aktivitas guru yang baik; Aktivitas siswa juga ada yang turun dan ada yang naik sesuai dengan tuntutan kemandirian siswa.

Abstract

AbstarctThe Village of Semangat Dalam is the most populous village in Barito Kuala Regency. The large number of residents of the village of Semangat Dalam is a result of the large number of housing developments. This study aims to determine how the impact of housing development in the village of Semangat Dalam in the environment and society. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The results of this study indicate that housing development has an impact on environmental and community conditions. Impacts on the environment such as change of land use, the number of shops and buildings, changes in road conditions, drainage problems, and waste problems. Impacts on society such as changes in population, changes in the types of community social activities, changes in people's living behavior, rising land prices, ease of work, progress in trade and competition in life.Keywords:housing developments, impact, environmental, communityAbstrakDesa Semangat Dalam merupakan desa yang paling banyak penduduknya di Kabupaten Barito Kuala. Banyaknya penduduk Desa Semangat Dalam akibat dari banyaknya pembangunan perumahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana dampak pembangunan perumahan di Desa Semangat Dalam terhadap lingkungan dan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa pembangunan perumahan memberi dampak pada kondisi lingkungan dan masyarakat. Dampak terhadap lingkungan seperti alih fungsi lahan, banyaknya toko dan bangunan, perubahan pada kondisi jalan, permasalahan drainase, dan permasalahan sampah. Dampak terhadap masyarakat seperti perubahan jumlah penduduk, perubahan jenis kegiatan sosial masyarakat, perubahan perilaku hidup masyarakat, naiknya harga lahan, mudahnya pekerjaan, kemajuan perdagangan dan persaingan hidup.Kata kunci: pembangunan perumahan, dampak, lingkungan, masyarakat

Abstract

Reproductive continuity is an important problem for humans and animals, but sometimes reproductive disorders occur which results in decreased reproductive capacity. Goat’s foot creeper leaves have active compounds that act as antioxidants. Antioxidant compounds can maintain reproductive function. This study aims to determine the effect of Goat’s foot creeper leaves on the spermatozoa concentration of white rats. Twenty white rats male (4-week-old) were treated with a completely randomized trial design. There were 4 treatment groups with 5 replications: (1) no treatment; (2) treatment with 750 mg goat’s foot creeper infusion per day; (3) treatment with 1500 mggfoot creeper leaves per day. All treatment groups were administered for 30 days orally. The results showed an increase in spermatozoa concentration of white rats.

Abstract

SMA Negeri 1 Aluh-Aluh Kabupaten Banjar memiliki laboratorium dan seperangkat mikroskop yang dapat digunakan saat praktikum pengamatan sel dan jaringan, namun efek pandemi covid-19 dengan pembelajaran yang dominan daring, menyebabkan kendala saat pembelajaran praktik yang menggunakan mikroskop. Untuk mengatasi ini maka perlu dilakukan Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan judul “ Bimbingan Teknis Pengenalan Mikroskop dan Penggunaannya pada  Pembelajaran Biologi Kelas X di SMA Negeri 1 Aluh-Aluh Kabupaten Banjar”. Kegiatan bertujuan untuk mengenalkan bagian-bagian mkroskop dan fungsinya serta memberi keterampilan penggunaan mikroskop kepada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Aluh-Aluh Kabupaten Banjar. Metode  kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini menggunakan   model bimbingan teknis Explicite Instruction. Hasil kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat menunjukkan para siswa dan guru pendamping sangat antusias mengikuti kegiatan dan berminat sekali untuk mengamati obyek-obyek biologi yang lain di sekitar lingkungan sekolah. Sedangkan tingkat penguasaan keterampilan penggunakaan mikroskop rata-rata sebesar 90,83. SMA Negeri 1 Aluh-Aluh Banjar Regency has a laboratory and a set of microscopes that can be used during cell and tissue observation practicum. Still, the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic with dominant online learning have caused problems in practical learning using a microscope. To overcome this, it is necessary to carry out community service activities titled "Introduction to the microscope and technical guidance on its use in Class X Biology learning at SMA Negeri 1 Aluh-Aluh, Banjar Regency". The activity aims to give the skills of using a microscope to class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Aluh-Aluh, Banjar Regency. The method of this community service activity uses the explicit instruction learning model. Community service activities showed that the students and accompanying teachers were very enthusiastic about participating in the activity and very interested in observing other biological objects around the school environment. At the same time, the level of mastery of the skills of using a microscope on average is 90.83.

Abstract

Representasi visual dalam pembelajaran Biologi terkait dengan aspek interpretatif yang mewakili entitas/elemen yang disajikan dalam bentuk foto, tabel, bagan maupun diagram. Melalui kegiatan representasi visual dapat mencegah terjadinya misskonsepsi. Pengembangan representasi visual secara kolaboratif melibatkan siswa, guru dan kolaborator. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di kelas dengan berpusat pada siswa dengan cara membentuk kelompok kecil. Program kemitraan ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan pembelajaran yang melibatkan representasi visual bagi siswa dalam belajar Biologi secara kolaboratif. Adapun kegiatan dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Jorong yang melibatkan siswa yang berjumlah 50 orang, guru Biologi serta kolaborator yang terdiri atas dosen dan mahasiswa pendidikan Biologi. Kegiatan PKM dilakukan dengan tatap muka dengan metode brainstorming dan diskusi. Berdasarkan hasil kemitraan diketahui bahwa pembelajaran kolaboratif dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan proses sainstifik. Adapun langkah yang dilakukan antara lain. (1) proses persiapan seperti brainstorming antara guru dan tim kolaborator, dan membentuk kelompok kolaboratif; (2) proses pelaksaan yakni dengan  menyampaian materi serta memberikan LKPD penunjang, menganalisa data secara kolaboratif, menyusun hasil representasi visual secara berkelompok dan hasil representasi visual disampaikan di kelas; dan (3) refklesi dari kegiatan yang dilakukan seperti memperbaikan hasil representasi visual. Visual representation in Biology learning is related to interpretive aspects that represent entities/elements presented in photos, tables, charts and diagrams. Through visual representation, activities can prevent misconceptions. Collaborative development of visual representations involves students, teachers and collaborators. Activities carried out in the classroom are student-centred by forming small groups. This partnership program aims to implement the learning that involves visual representation for students in collaborative learning of Biology. The activities were carried out at SMA Negeri 1 Jorong, which involved 50 students, Biology teachers, and collaborators of Biology education lecturers and students. The community service activities are carried out face-to-face with brainstorming and discussion methods. Based on the partnership results, it is known that collaborative learning can be done by applying a scientific process. The steps taken include: (1) preparatory processes such as brainstorming between teachers and collaborating teams and forming collaborative groups; (2) the implementation process, namely by delivering material and providing supporting the student worksheet, analyzing data collaboratively, compiling visual representation results in groups and presenting visual representation results in class; and (3) reflection of the activities carried out such as improving the results of visual representations.
