Potret Pemikiran terdaftar dengan nomor ISSN 1693-1874 (Cetak), ISSN 2528-0376 (Online) adalah jurnal peer-review yang diterbitkan dua kali setahun pada bulan Juni dan Desember oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (LP2M) Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Manado. Potret Pemikiran mulai menerbitkan artikel-artikel versi cetak pada tahun 2000. Potert Pemikiran adalah jurnal pertama di Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri (STAIN) Manado yang sekarang bertranformasi menjadi Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Manado. Saat itu, Potret Pemikiran melingkupi cangkupan ilmu secara umum, yaitu ilmu politik, hukum, ekonomi, pendidikan, serta agama hingga tahun 2018. Sejak tahun 2019, Jurnal Potret Pemikiran fokus dan jangkauannya terkait Pemikiran Islam di bidang: Filsafat, Tasawuf, Politik Islam dan sosial Keagamaan, serta terjadi perubahan gaya selingkung yaitu menjadi APA 6th Edition (American Psychological Association).

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe Sasak ethnic group in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, are fanatical adherents of Islam, especially rural communities. They believe in, understand and practice Islam based on the ideology of the Sufism which is synonymous with strong belief in mystical problems and spells in solving life problems faced. The Qur'an for rural Muslims, the Sasak ethnic group, is believed to be a magical tool in the form of a spell which if it can function as a solution to the problems of life. This study aims to reveal the factors that cause the birth of the practice of using Qur'anic spells and the forms of practice of using Qur'anic spells. This research is a field research related to socio-cultural problems. The approach used is religious anthropology and historical approaches. Methods of data collection are done by means of observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results showed that rural Muslims of the Sasak ethnic group adhere to the ideology of the sufism which is identical with a high belief in the benefits of the Qur’anic spell as a solution to life problems experienced, such as functioning as a treatment for diseases that are medical and non-medical in nature, to protect themselves or as a means of supernatural powers. As a way for the sake of getting a mate, used to get offspring, and as a means of house keeping.Keywords: Magism; Qur’anic spell, Sasak ethnicABSTRAKEtnis Sasak di Lombok Nusa Tengga Barat tergolong penganut agama Islam yang fanatik, terutama masyarakat pedesaan. Mereka meyakini, memahamai dan mengamalkan Islam berdasarkan faham tarekat yang identik dengan keyakinan yang kuat pada masalah mistik dan mantra dalam menyelesaikan problematika kehidupan yang dihadapi. Al-Qur’an bagi Muslim pedesaan etnis Sasak diyakini sebagai alat magis dalam bentuk mantra yang jika bisa berfungsi sebagai solusi bagi problematika kehidupan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap faktor-faktor penyebab lahirnya praktik penggunaan mantra Alquran dan bentuk-bentuk praktik penggunaan mantra Alquran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan yang berkaitan dengan masalah sosial budaya. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah antropologi Agama dan pendekatan sejarah. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa muslim pedesaan etnis Sasak menganut faham tarekat yang identik dengan kepercayaan yang tinggi pada manpaat mantra Quranisebagai solusi bagi problematika kehidupan yang dialami, seperti berfungsi sebagai pengobatan penyakit yang bersifat medis dan non medis, untuk melindungi diri atau alat kesaktian, untuk dijadikan sebagai pelet demi mendapatkan jodoh, dipergunakan untuk mendapatkan keturunan, dan sebagai alat penjaga rumah.Kata Kunci: Magisme; MantraQur’ani; EtnisSasak

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe radicalism movement is currently one of the centres of attention of the Indonesian government because several incidents have repeatedly occurred in Indonesia. The radicalism movement is a concept that wish changes in society using a narrow religious understanding base which usually leads to bomb terror acts. The Central Java region is one area that is often used as the basis of radicalism movements spreading across various regions. The government cooperates with several Islamic organizations, one of which is (Nahdlatul Ulama), to take part in preventing radicalism that can threaten the integrity of the nation and state. This article aims to reveal the role of Nahdlatul Ulama's national politics in repressing the radicalism movement in Indonesia, especially in the Pati Regency area. The research method applied is qualitative with a literature study approach and through interviews. The NU Branch Leader (PCNU) made several programs to repress radicalism in the Pati Regency area, among others, by solidifying students in the Nahdlatul Ulama Student Association (IPNU) by holding Basic Leadership Training (LDK) in collaboration with the National Military Forces (TNI) and academics. In addition, Ansor and Banser of Pati Regency were active in conducting discussions with the theme of counteracting radicalism. These activities by Nahdlatul Ulama are effective in repressing radicalism in the Pati Branch area.  Keywords: national politics; radicalism; PCNU Pati Kabupaten.ABSTRAKGerakan radikalisme pada saat ini menjadi salah satu pusat perhatian pemerintah Indonesia karena berulang kali aksi ini terjadi di Indonesia. Gerakan radikalisme merupakan paham yang menginginkan perubahan dalam masyarakat yang seringnya menggunakan dasar pemahaman agama yang sempit yang biasanya berujung pada aksi teror bom. Wilayah Jawa Tengah merupakan salah satu wilayah yang sering menjadi basis gerakan radikalisme yang tersebar di berbagai daerah. Pemerintah menggandeng beberapa ormas Islam salah satunya adalah Nahdlatul Ulama yang ikut andil dalam rangka pencegahan radikalisme yang dapat mengancam keutuhan bangsa dan negara.  Artikel ini bertujuan mengungkap peran politik kebangsaan Nahdlatul Ulama dalam membendung gerakan radikalisme di Indonesia khususnya di wilayah Kabupaten Pati. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur serta melalui wawancara. PCNU membuat beberapa program yang dilaksanakan dalam rangka membendung radikalisme di wilayah Kabupaten Pati antara lain dengan mensolidkan para pelajar dalam Ikatan Pelajar Nahdlatul Ulama (IPNU) dengan mengadakan Latihan Dasar Kepemimpinan (LDK) yang bekerjasama dengan TNI maupun akademisi.  Selain itu Ansor dan Banser Kabupaten Pati aktif untuk melakukan diskusi dengan tema menangkal radikalisme. Kegiatan-kegiatan tersebut efektif dalam rangka membendung radikalisme oleh Nahdlatul Ulama di wilayah Cabang Pati.Kata kunci: politik kebangsaan; radikalisme; PCNU Kabupaten Pati.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the value of national character education in Katoba tradition of Muna ethnic community in Southeast Sulawesi. The research approach is descriptive qualitative. The data was carried out by observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research informants were the leader of Katoba ritual (imamu), traditional leaders and cultural practitioners, and expert informants (academics and Muna culture researchers). The data were analyzed by using the reception, comparison, and description technique. The results showed that the values of character education represented in Katoba tradition that can be transformed into national character education are (1) religious, (2) honesty and trustworthiness, (3) self-esteem, (4) courtesy, (5) love and brotherhood, (6) respect for achievement, (7) enthusiastic and fight (8) discipline, (9) self-control, (10) social care and peace-loving, and (11) independence.Keywords: National character education; Tradition; Katoba; Muna etnicABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan nilai pendidikan karakter bangsa dalam tradisi katoba pada masyarakat etnis Muna di Sulawesi Tenggara. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan ialah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi. Informan penelitian, yaitu pelaku tradisi katoba (imamu), tokoh adat dan pelaku budaya, dan informan ahli (akademisi dan peneliti budaya Muna). Data dianalisis dengan teknik resepsi, komparasi, dan deskripsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terepresentasi dalam tradisi katoba yang dapat ditransformasi sebagai pendidikan karakter bangsa ialah nilai (1) religius, (2) jujur dan amanah, (3) harga diri, (4) sopan santun, (5) cinta kasih dan persaudaraan, (6) menghargai prestasi, (7) semangat dan tidak pantang menyerah, (8) disiplin, (9) pengendalian diri, (10) peduli sosial dan cinta damai, dan (11) kemandirian. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan karekter nasional; Tradisi; Katoba; Etnis Muna

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe, analyze and interpret the phenomenon of the development of Islamic boarding schools that grow and develop in the midst of the dynamics of conflict that is still happening today, where on the other hand the development of Islamic boarding schools is also marked by the rise of radicalism movements marked by the emergence of armed civilian groups. which was later called the East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT), this study also aims to explain the alleged relationship between pesantren and radicalism, pesantren with MIT and the allegation of pesantren as a fabrication of radicalism. The method in this study uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study (case study) which emphasizes the ability of the researcher as a key research instrument. The research findings at least explain several things, namely; 1) the development of the pesantren that occurred in Poso began after the conflict of faith where one of the incidents in the conflict was the massacre that occurred at the Walisongo Islamic boarding school in Kilo Sembilan, 2) the radicalism that developed in Poso did not coincide with the motivation for the development of the pesantren, 3) the developing pesantren Poso has no relationship with the MIT group, 4) MIT is purely a combatant group that grows from social ties outside Islamic boarding school education, 5) MIT combatant actors in the investigations conducted by researchers do not come from the pesantren educational environment in Poso, moreover pesantren in Poso is a typology of traditional pesantren which is still said to be very young and not yet established and does not yet have a broad network of regeneration, so it is impossible to become a fabricator of Poso combatants.Keywords: Islamic boarding schools; conflict; radicalism ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan, menganalisis dan menginterpretasikan fenomena perkembangan pesantren yang tumbuh dan berkembang di tengah dinamika konflik yang masih terus terjadi hingga saat ini, di mana pada sisi yang lain perkembangan pesantren juga turut diwarnai dengan maraknya gerakan radikalisme yang ditandai dengan munculnya kelompok sipil bersenjata yang belakangan disebut Mujahidin Indonesia Timur (MIT), penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dugaan hubungan pesantren dengan radikalisme, pesantren dengan MIT dan dugaan pesantren sebagai pabrikasi radikalisme. Adapun metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus (case study) yang menekankan pada kemampuan peneliti sebagai instrumen kunci penelitian. Temuan penelitian setidaknya  menjelaskan beberapa hal yaitu; 1) perkembangan pesantren yang terjadi di Poso dimulai paska konflik iman di mana salah satu insiden dalam konflik tersebut adalah pembantaian yang terjadi di pesantren Walisongo di Kilo Sembilan, 2) radikalisme yang berkembang di Poso tidak beriringan dengan motivasi perkembangan pesantren, 3) pesantren yang berkembang di Poso tidak memiliki hubungan dengan kelompok MIT, 4) MIT murni merupakan kelompok kombatan yang tumbuh dari ikatan sosial di luar pendidikan Islam pesantren, 5) aktor-aktor kombatan MIT dalam investigasi yang peneliti lakukan tidak berasal dari lingkungan pendidikan pesantren di Poso, lagipula pesantren di Poso merupakan tipologi pesantren tradisional yang masih dikatakan sangat belia dan belum mapan serta belum memiliki jaringan kaderisasi yang luas, sehingga sangat mustahil untuk dapat menjadi pabrikasi kombatan Poso.Kata Kunci: Pesantren; Konflik; Radikalisme

Abstract

ABSTRACT Understanding religious tolerance from the perspective of kiai Sholeh is that basically religion presents on earth as a guide and conveyer of peace for people. The purpose of this research is to determine the religious tolerance from the perspective of KH. M. Sholeh Bahruddin and to explore the practice. This research is a type of qualitative research with a phenomenological approach and the theory of structural functionalism by Talcott Parsons where data sources classified as primary and secondary data. The data collection techniques applied in this study are participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies. In this study, the data analysis process includes data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the study discover that religious tolerance from the perspective of kiai Sholeh are derived from the commands of the Qur'an and hadith, orders from parents and teachers, the application of the ideology of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah. Kyai Sholeh's practice of religious tolerance in Sufism includes the application of Galak Gampil's fiqh law, and peaceful behavior towards anyone. This reflected in his da'wah with the method of "embracing not hitting, looking for friends, not looking for opponents, inviting not to mock and spreading mercy not curses" and adhering to his principles of associating with non-Muslims, namely "Single skipper is only different in appearance" and "there are no minority nor majority communities, but plurality” for all humans without being limited by ethnicity, religion, race, and culture. The attitude of tolerance includes: broad and honest, namely: the attitude of students in having many and deep scientific views and insights, both worldly science, ukhrowi science and social science. Soleh BahruddinABSTRAKDalam memahami toleransi beragama perspektif kiai Sholeh pada dasarnya agama hadir di muka bumi sebagai petunjuk dan pembawa ketentraman bagi umatnya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu Mengetahui toleransi beragama perspektif KH. M. Sholeh Bahruddin dan mengetahui praktik toleransi beragama. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi serta teori struktural fungsionalisme Talcott Parsons dengan sumber data menggunakan data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data yang diperlukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi partisipan, wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini, proses analisis data yaitu meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa toleransi beragama perspektif kiai Sholeh yaitu perintah Al-Qur’an dan hadis, perintah orang tua bersama guru, penerapan ideologi ahlus wal jamaah Sunnah. Praktik toleransi beragama kiai Sholeh dalam tasawuf yaitu meliputi penerapan hukum fikih Galak Gampil, perilaku hidup damai terhadap siapa pun. Hal ini tercermin dalam dakwah beliau dengan metode "merangkul tidak memukul, mencari kawan tidak mencari lawan, mengajak tidak mengejek dan menebar rahmat bukan laknat" serta berpegang pada prinsip bergaul beliau terhadap nonmuslim yaitu “Tunggal juragan hanya beda penampilan” dan “tidak ada masyarakat minoritas dan mayoritas namun yang ada adalalah pluralitas” kepada semua manusia tanpa dibatasi sekat suku, agama, ras, dan budaya. Sikap toleransi meliputi: luas dan juwes, yaitu: sikap santri di dalam berpandangan dan berwawasan keilmuan yang banyak dan mendalam, baik keilmuan duniawi ilmu ukhrowi serta ilmu sosial kemasyarakatan.Kata kunci: toleransi; beragama; KH. Abstract

ABSTRACT The crucial phenomenon that is the background of this research is the strengthening of the seeds of radicalism in Public Universities. The academic community, such as lecturers and students, are not spared from being influenced by extremist-radicalist notions, even in the context of the University of Djendral Sudirman (Unsoed) Purwokerto, there are lecturers who are members of the ISIS network and several students who are members of the NII network. Therefore, it is important for higher education institutions to internalize religious moderation (wasathiyyah) to students, so as to form a moderate religious attitude and not easily influenced by extremist-radicalist religious understandings. The purpose of writing this article is to discover patterns of religious understanding of Unsoed Purwokerto students and strategies for internalizing Islamic moderation values to students to counteract radicalism. This article is field research with a qualitative-descriptive approach and uses observation, interview and documentation techniques in searching the data. The results of the study indicate that the pattern of religious understanding of Unsoed Purwokerto students tends to be not comprehensive. The process of internalizing the value of Islamic moderation to students is carried out through PAI courses, lecturer approaches in teaching (dialogical, rational, and anthropological), fostering Al-Qur'an Reading and Writing and interpretation and mentoring through the Islamic Religious Assistance Program (P2AI). The strategies to counter radicalism are providing national insight in collaboration with the TNI-POLRI, forming SMEs that are adaptive to culture and the arts, socialization and dialogue about terrorism and radicalism with the National Counter-Terrorism Agency, Campus News, providing an understanding of religious moderation in the academic community, legalizing extra organizations to have activities on campus internally, accommodating courses for Believers, and carry out nationalism internalization through Unsoed Identity and Civics Courses. Civitas akademika, seperti dosen dan mahasiswa tidak luput terpengaruh oleh paham eksremis-radikalis, bahkan dalam konteks di Universitas Djendral Soedirman (Unsoed) Purwokerto terdapat dosen yang tergabung dalam jaringan ISIS dan beberapa mahasiswa yang masuk ke dalam jaringan NII. Oleh karena itu, menjadi penting Perguruan Tinggi melakukan internalisasi moderasi beragama (wasathiyyah) kepada mahasiswa, sehingga membentuk sikap keberagamaan yang moderat dan tidak mudah terpengaruh oleh pemahaman agama ektremis-radikalis. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk menemukan pola pemahaman keagamaan mahasiswa Unsoed Purwokerto dan strategi internalisasi nilai moderasi Islam kepada mahasiswa untuk menangkal radikalisme. Artikel ini merupakan penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi dalam pencarian datanya. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola pemahaman keagamaan mahasiswa Unsoed Purwokerto cenderung tidak komprehensif. Proses internalisasi nilai moderasi Islam pada mahasiswa dilaksanakan melalui mata kuliah PAI, pendekatan dosen dalam mengajar (dialogis, rasional, dan atropologis), pembinaan Baca Tulis al-Qur’an dan tafsir serta mentoring melalui Program Pendampingan Agama Islam (P2AI). Adapun strategi untuk menangkal radikalisme yaitu memberikan wawasan kebangsaan bekerja sama dengan TNI-POLRI, membentuk UKM yang adaptif dengan budaya dan seni, sosialisasi dan dialog tentang terorisme dan radikalisme bersama Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Terorisme, Kampus Mengaji, memberikan pemahaman moderasi beragama pada civitas akademika, melegalkan organisasi ekstra beraktivitas di dalam internal kampus, mengakomodir mata kuliah bagi Penghayat Kepercayaan, dan melakukan internalisasi kebangsaan melalui mata kuliah Jati Diri Unsoed dan PKn.Kata kunci: Moderasi Islam; Mahasiswa; Perguruan Tinggi Umum; Radikalisme.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article aims to explain the concept of gender theology in the sibaliparri tradition by looking at the role of coastal women in Polewali Mandar Regency. This paper focuses on three main issues, namely the history of the sibaliparri tradition, the role of coastal women in the sibaliparri tradition and the masterminds that influence the role of coastal women in the Sibaliparri tradition in Polewali Mandar Regency. The method used is descriptive qualitative, by interpreting data and facts discovered on the local community. Data collection techniques are field studies, interviews, manuscript studies by examining books, journals, and other forms of literature. This study shows that the history behind the word sibaliparri according to Mandar O'Dianda O'Dibisa's lontara has occured since the reign of Maradiaq Balanipa I Manyambungi and during the reign of Maradiaq IV Kakanna I Pattang Daetta Tommuane sibaliparri has spread throughout the Ammaradia Balanipa region. Later, the coastal women in the current concept of sibaliparri are not only in the domestic area, taking care of the family and reproduction, conceiving and giving birth to children, but also playing a role in the public sphere. The factors that influence coastal women according to the sibaliparri concept include economic, social, cultural and gender issues. In Islamic theology the role of women in various activities is in accordance with Islamic teachings. The existence of Mara'dia continues to play its role in the social life of the community providing the government partners in embodying peace in a synergistic relationship to create a peaceful society. Tulisan ini menjawab tiga masalah pokok yaitu sejarah tradisi sibaliparri, peran perempuan pesisir dalam tradisi sibaliparri dan aktor yang memengaruhi peran perempuan pesisir dalam tradisi Sibaliparri di Kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan menafsirkan data dan fakta berdasarkan masyaraka setempatt. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu studi lapangan, wawancara, studi naskah dengan menelaah buku-buku, jurnal, dan bentuk literatur lainnya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan, bahwa sejarah penamaan kata sibaliparri berdasarkan lontara Mandar O’Dianda O’Dibiasa sudah muncul sejak masa pemerintahan Maradiaq Balanipa I Manyambungi dan masa pemerintahan Maradiaq IV Kakanna I Pattang Daetta Tommuane sibaliparri sudah meluas di seluruh wilayah Ammaradia Balanipa. Kemudian Perempuan pesisir dalam konsep sibaliparri saat ini tidak hanya wilayah domestik, mengurus keluarga dan reproduksi mengandung dan melahirkan anak tetapi juga berperan di wilayah publik. Faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi perempuan pesisir menurut konsep sibaliparri di antaranya faktor ekonomi, sosial, budaya dan isu gender. Dalam teologi Islam bahwa peran perempuan dalam berbagai aktivitas adalah sesuai dengan ajaran Islam. Keberadaan Mara’dia menjadi tetap eksis memainkan perannya dalam kehidupan sosial masyarakat sehingga pemerintah memiliki mitra mewujudkan ketentraman dalam hubungan sinergisitas untuk mewujudkan masyarakat yang damai.Kata kunci: teologi gender; tradisi Sibaliparri; peran perempuan; Polewali Mandar

Abstract

Entering the industrial era 4.0, the development of professionalization and the increasingly intense competition between lines of life demand an alignment of development orientations to improve human quality. This condition is different from education on the island of Lombok, which is faced with the problem of providing human resources. The mismatch and incompetence between output at all levels of education and social demands in the world of work is an example for educational institutions in Lombok that should be fixed immediately. This study aims to determine the strategy of the Nurul Haramain Islamic Boarding School NW Narmada in preparing graduates who can face the industrial era 4.0. Therefore, Islamic boarding schools, one of the institutions that provide human resources in improving community development and the foundation for non-governmental organizations on the island of Lombok, should improve and formulate new strategies to deal with this. One of them is the Islamic Boarding School of Haramain Putri NW Narmada which is one of the Islamic boarding schools that plays a significant role in preparing human resources for the people of Lombok. This research uses qualitative methods. This method begins with conducting initial observations to the last stage: analyzing and describing the research results. The research found that the Islamic Boarding School of Haramain Putri NW Narmada provided additional hard and soft skill training such as computer refinement and programming, graphic design, language strengthening, and Haramain farming for students. Abstract

This article argues that postcolonial trauma theory is beneficial not only for recognizing postcolonial people’s trauma but also for the development of religious studies. The western trauma theory ignored the trauma of colonialism which still has many influences in the contemporary world. Here to respond to that condition, the postcolonial trauma theory shall probe how colonialism left trauma in the society of postcolonial people. Not only that topic, but this article also investigates how the adaptation of postcolonial trauma theory on religious studies. Because religion, as a fact of contemporary society, has got a thorough influence from colonialism. The approach of this study is qualitative research by investigating literature about postcolonial trauma. By probing the literature around the postcolonial trauma theory and its adaption in religious studies, this article shall open the possibility of another development in religious studies. Abstract

ABSTRACTThis article examines an important aspect that has not been widely studied in previous writings, namely the dimensions of the contestation of radical Islamic groups and moderate Islamic groups in the 2019 electoral political stage. The representation of radical Islam is represented by the GNPF-MUI which includes Islamic organizations such as FPI, FUI, Larkar Jihad and others. Meanwhile, moderate Islam is represented by Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), some Muhammadiyah and other moderate mass organizations. Behind the frenzy of "Action for Defending Islam" 411, 212, reunion 212, as well as other issues during the 2019 presidential election electoral campaign, there is actually an aspect of the contestation of the two camps in the struggle for Islam in the public sphere and in power politics. Radical Islamic groups carrying the spirit of nativism 'Islamic populism' voiced the agenda of 'political Islam' into the realm of state power through the Prabowo-Sandi camp. Meanwhile, identity political groups are still promoting 'Islam wasyatiyah' with the symbol of the Republic of Indonesia at a fixed price through the Jokowi-Amin camp. This article is based on a qualitative method with a literature study approach from various sources. From the contestation of the two groups, in the end, moderate Islam won, represented by the election of the Jokowi-Makruf Amin pair. Amin, no doubt, does represent the moderate current of Islam where he previously served as Rais Aam of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board. In addition, the pair's victory shows that the dynamics of moderate Islam in Indonesia are still embraced by the majority of Muslims in Indonesia.Keywords: Identity politics; Radical Islam; moderate Islam; 2019 presidential election. ABSTRAK Artikel ini menelaah tentang aspek penting yang belum banyak dikaji tulisan-tulisan sebelumnya, yakni dimensi kontestasi kelompok radikal Islam dan kelompok Islam moderat dalam panggung politik elektoral 2019. Representasi dari Islam radikal diwakili GNPF-MUI yang di dalam terdapat ormas Islam seperti FPI, FUI, Larkar Jihad dan sebagainya. Sedangkan, Islam moderat direpresentasi oleh ormas Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), sebagian Muhammadiyah dan ormas moderat lainnya. Di balik hingar-bingar “Aksi Bela Islam” 411, 212, reuni 212, maupun isu lain selama kampanye politik elektoral Pilpres 2019, sesungguhnya terdapat aspek kontestasi dua kubu tersebut dalam perebutan Islam dalam ruang publik maupun politik kekuasaan. Kelompok Islam radikal mengusung semangat nativisme ‘populisme Islam’ menyuarakan agenda ‘Islam politik’ ke dalam ranah kekuasaan negara melalui kubu Prabowo-Sandi. Sedangkan, kelompok politik identitas tengah tetap menggelorakan ‘Islam wasyatiyah’ dengan simbol NKRI harga mati melalui kubu Jokowi-Amin. Artikel ini berbasis metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur dari berbagai sumber. Dari kontestasi kedua kelompok tersebut, pada akhirnya dimenangkan oleh Islam moderat yang direpresentasi melalui terpilihnya pasangan Jokowi-Makruf Amin. Amin, tidak diragukan, memang mewakili arus Islam moderat di mana ia sebelumnya menjabat sebagai Rais Aam Pengurus Besar Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU). Selain itu, kemenangan pasangan ini menunjukkan dinamika Islam moderat di Indonnesia masih dianut mayoritas muslim di Indonesia.Kata kunci: Politik identitas; Islam radikal; Islam moderat; pilpres 2019.
