Abstract

The construction of dock infrastructure is a construction activity with a high level of complexity, especially in integrating structural planning, implementation timing, and project cost control. with the existence of Building Information Modeling (BIM) can help complete the work more optimally and accurately. This study discusses the application of 5D Building Information Modeling (BIM) as an integrated approach in cost analysis and scheduling in the construction project of the 10,000 DWT Batang Multipurpose Jetty. Modeling was carried out using Autodesk Revit software by referring to DED images in the construction project of multipurpose wharf trunks, cost estimates were compiled based on the results of quantity take-off from the BIM model combined with Unit Price Analysis (AHS) using Microsoft Excel software. Scheduling visualization is done by integrating the dock structure model from Autodesk Revit with the scheduling data input from Microsoft Project which is then visualized using Autodesk Navisworks software. The results of the study show that the application of 5D Building Information Modeling (BIM) is able to present cost estimates and scheduling in a more systematic, transparent, and easy-to-understand manner. The integrated BIM model makes it easy to control volume, evaluate costs, and visualize the stages of work implementation. Thus, BIM 5D has proven to be effective as a dock project planning tool that supports more accurate and informative decision-making.

Abstract

Cement is a type of filler commonly used in hot asphalt mixtures, necessitating innovation in materials that can replace cement at a more economical price. Suitable materials include silica fume, which contains a very high compound of silicon dioxide (SiO₂) exceeding 90%, and limestone powder. The use of industrial waste such as silica fume and limestone powder is expected to improve the Marshall characteristics (stability, flow, VIM, VMA, VFB, and Marshall quotient) of the AC-WC asphalt mixture, with filler percentages used at 1%, 3%, 5%, 7%, and 9% of the total mixture. Additionally, the use of industrial waste aims to reduce environmental waste. In this research, the method employed is the Marshall test to obtain the optimum asphalt content. From the test results on AC-WC using local materials with variations of the two filler types—silica fume and limestone ash powder—there is one mixture that meets the requirements of the General Specifications of Bina Marga 2018 Revision 2 for Marshall characteristics, namely the use of 9% filler with 6.4% asphalt variation, yielding values of Density 2.275, Stability 1610 kg, Flow 4.00 mm, Marshall Quotient 402.44 kg/mm, VIM 3.02%, VMA 15.86%, and VFB 80.98%.

Abstract

The irrigation system is designed to supply water requirements for evaporation, transpiration, and water losses. When the fulfillment of crop water requirements, plants are able to growt and develop optimally. However, the existing irrigation system in Gunung Bentar, Probolinggo, is currently less effective. A significant amount of water is wasted, and water distribution to crops is uneven. As a result, crop quality is inconsistent, which ultimately affects agricultural yield. To address both the insufficiency and uneven distribution of water, a drip irrigation system is proposed. The drip irrigation system divides the land based on head plot segmentation. Subsequently, the discharge of each emitter and the total required discharge are calculated and compared with the available water supply. This is followed by the design of the piping system and the calculation of pump capacity. Based on the analysis and calculations, the land is divided into 19 head plots. The discharge of each emitter is 0.033 l/h for corn and 0.044 l/h for sugarcane. The total irrigation operating time is 14.58 hours per day, and the required pump power is 9.6 hp.

Abstract

Abstract The development of irrigation infrastructure in Indonesia is an absolute prerequisite for ensuring national food security; however, challenges such as damage to the weir crest often hinder agricultural productivity. This study aims to design the rehabilitation of the Ngeprih Weir in Ponorogo Regency to re-optimize its function in raising water levels and supplying irrigation needs. The research methodology includes hydrological analysis to determine the design flood discharge and hydraulic analysis to establish the technical dimensions of the weir. Rainfall data for the 2015-2024 period from the Slahung and Ngrayun Stations were processed using the Gumbel distribution, which was subsequently validated using Chi-Square and Smirnov-Kolmogorov tests. The design flood discharge calculation was performed using the Nakayasu Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (SUH) method. The hydrological analysis results indicate that the design rainfall for a 100-year return period (R100) is 205,55 mm, with a design flood discharge (Q100) of 43,60 m³/s. Technically, the Ngeprih Weir is designed using a rounded crest type at an elevation of +154,43, with a weir height of 1,88 meters and a total width of 27 meters. To dissipate flow energy, a submerged bucket type stilling basin was selected, considering the riverbed characteristics consisting of boulders. Based on stability analysis, the weir structure is declared safe against overturning, sliding, eccentricity, and soil bearing capacity under various water level conditions.

Abstract

Abstract Construction projects in various countries often face major obstacles in the form of efforts to achieve time and cost efficiency. Similar challenges occur in Indonesia, especially in the construction of complex public health facilities as part of efforts to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) point 9 regarding reliable and sustainable infrastructure. This study aims to evaluate performance, validate initial planning, and analyze best practices in project management for the Bhayangkara Tulungagung Hospital Building Construction project using the Earned Value Analysis method. The analysis results with a reporting period up to the 21st week show that the project is running efficiently and experiencing acceleration. Project performance shows a CPI value of 1.142, an SPI of 1.598, and a TCPI of 0.825, indicating that the remaining work can be completed with a more relaxed level of efficiency without exceeding the budget. Predictively, the estimated EAC value is Rp37,110,794,182.36 with potential savings reaching Rp5,269,732,773.90. Meanwhile, the EAS value is predicted to be 224 calendar days or 46 days faster than the planned schedule. This success is supported by the application of project management best practices, namely the implementation of an early warning system, scheduling accuracy and good field logistics coordination, strict control over the project budget, and resource optimization oriented towards economic benefits. However, when compared to the real completion conditions in the field amounting to Rp42,380,526,956.26 and 270 calendar days, there is a deviation. This deviation is caused by the implementation profit component which is theoretically excluded from the Actual Cost (AC) calculation variable, cost scope changes due to the Contract Change Order (CCO) mechanism, and the diversion of potential duration acceleration in the field to complete additional work volumes post-CCO. The results of this study prove the success of project performance consistency and can serve as a strategic reference for similar projects in the future.

Abstract

Abstract

Sidokare Indah Housing, Sidoarjo Regency, still experiences temporary inundation during high-intensity rainfall, requiring an evaluation of the existing drainage system. This study evaluates the system based on design flood discharge, long-storage capacity, pump-house performance, and hydraulic capacity of the existing channels. Maximum annual daily rainfall data for 2016-2025 from Sidoarjo Rainfall Station were analyzed using Gumbel and Log Normal distributions and tested by Chi-Square. The selected 2-year Log Normal design rainfall was 107.79 mm. Effective rainfall was transformed into a design flood hydrograph using the Nakayasu Synthetic Unit Hydrograph and convolution. The resulting peak discharge was 5.901 m³/s at 1.10 h. The long storage has a geometric volume of 2,903.565 m³ and an effective available volume of 2,088.279 m³, while the existing pump house consists of two 0.35 m³/s pumps and one 0.20 m³/s pump, giving a total capacity of 0.90 m³/s. Pump routing shows that the storage reaches its maximum capacity and overflow occurs during the peak-flow period; total overflow is 23,010.322 m³ and the storage returns to empty at 7.40 h. Manning analysis also indicates that most upstream and middle channel sections do not fully convey the design discharge. The system therefore provides attenuation and gradual drainage but does not fully control the 2-year design flood, so improvements to pumping capacity, channel bottlenecks, operation, and maintenance are required.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential for veer-off on Rapid Exit Taxiways (RET) based on the operational and geometric characteristics of the facility, taking into account traffic conditions during peak days and peak hours. The analysis was conducted by evaluating the relationship between aircraft maneuvering demand and the available geometric capacity and maneuvering capability through the Demand–Capacity Ratio (DCR) approach. The parameters used include the type and characteristics of aircraft, speed when entering the RET, turning radius, taxiway width, friction coefficient, and lateral acceleration. Furthermore, the DCR results are used to identify critical conditions that could lead to potential veer-off, referring to Galagedera et al.'s approach, which considers the relationship between RET geometric characteristics, aircraft speed, and lateral force capacity in maneuvering. The analysis results show that DCR > 1, so there is a potential for veering off the path in traffic at Minangkabau International Airport, projected for the year 2044.
