Abstract

Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) are intestinal nematode worms that infect humans who ingest their eggs via the faecal-oral route. Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) infection is transmitted through eggs and larvae found in human feces which then contaminate the soil in environmental areas that have poor sanitation. The impact caused by worms includes malnutrition, growth and development disorders and cognitive disorders in children, and in adults it can reduce work productivity. The incidence of worms is found mainly in people living in rural areas, especially farmers. STH transmission to vegetable farmers occurs through water and sludge used in vegetable cultivation. STH prevalence is supported by suitable natural conditions, personal hygiene and low environmental sanitation, especially in the vegetable farming environment. This study aims to determine the relationship between personal hygiene and intestinal worm egg infection (Soil Transmitted Helmint) vegetable farmers in Gianyar Regency. The type of research used in this study is a descriptive correlative study with a cross sectional study approach which aims to determine the relationship between personal hygiene and intestinal worm infection (Soil Transmitted Helmint) in vegetable farmers in Gianyar Regency. The results showed that the personal hygiene condition of vegetable farmers in Gianyar Regency was poor (83.3%) and the incidence of worm infection in vegetable farmers in Gianyar Regency was 20%. There is no relationship between personal hygiene personal hygiene with intestinal worm egg infections (Soil Transmitted Helmint) in vegetable farmers in Gianyar Regency (p-value> 0.05).

Abstract

The success of preventing the complications of diabetes mellitus can be achieved through medication adherence in the use of oral hypoglycemic drugs. The success of a treatment in DM patients depends on the ability and high confidence in the patient, or what is called Self efficacy. The aimed of this study to determined the relationship of Self efficacy with adherence to taking oral hypoglycemic drugs in patients with type II diabetes mellitus. The research design used descriptive correlational with cross sectional design. The sampling technique used consecutive sampling with a sample of 60 people with type II DM. The results showed 25 people (41.7%) had high Self efficacy and 31 people (51.7%) had oral hypoglycemic medication adherence in the high category. Spearman Rank test results with α = 0.05 obtained p value = 0,000 and correlation coefficient (r) = 0.936 which means there is a strong relationship between Self efficacy with adherence to taking oral hypoglycemic drugs with the strength of strong relationships and positive direction. Self efficacy will affect the ability to adjust, understand and recognize the problems faced and motivate patients to change behavior, one of which is medication adherence.

Abstract

Every health facility, whether it is primary, secondary, tertiary, is required to organize medical records in order to achieve administrative order. This study aims to determine the completeness of filling in inpatient medical records on the quality of medical records. This study uses a literature review method. Search strategy using Google Scholar. The keywords used were incomplete filling of inpatient medical records and the quality of medical records. Search results obtained 180.000 article according to keywords. Then the article obtained were filtered based on full text and publication date 2015 – 2020, found 44.700 articles. Of the 44.700 articles reviewed related to titles that were deemed appropriate and obtained 18, then these 18 articles were screened based on inclusion and exclusion criteria and obtained 5 articles. As a whole, the cause can be seen from the lack of knowledge, motivation and awareness of medical personnel about medical records. The meeting as a means of communication between caregivers and management has not yet been implemented to discuss evaluation and monitoring as well as sanctions for officers who do not complete medical records. Lack of socialization on filling out medical records. Unsystematic arrangement of medical records forms. Limited availability of funds or budget to support medical record service activities.

Abstract

Paracetamol is a group of analgesics that is pain relief in the way of work and inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins especially in the central nervous system. Paracetamol given orally will be absorbed quickly and reach peak serum levels within 30-120 minutes. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of paracetamol in blood and serum. The sample used were blood and serum samples from respondents who consumed the 500 mg paracetamol drug. Blood samples were taken 2 hours after consuming the drug paracetamol. To get serum, blood must be centrifuged, with the process of centrifugation of confounding substances in the blood can be minimized. Qualitative analysis of paracetamol levels in blood and serum was analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Paracetamol extraction on blood and serum samples using the Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) method. The extraction results were derivatized using BSTFA containing 1% TMCS and analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Quantitative analysis was performed by calculating paracetamol levels using the equation of the regression line y = 50207x + 56321. The results of this research showed that blood and serum samples showed positive paracetamol at 15,056 and 15,101 retention times. The level of paracetamol in blood samples was 175,2 ppm and the level of paracetamol in serum samples was 56,7 ppm.
