Social media platforms have become powerful tools for information dissemination and personal branding that mold shape and influence the public. Influencers and public figures leverage these networks to showcase their lifestyles and connect with audiences, particularly young people who often aspire to emulate their favorite personalities. The glorification of criminal activity on social media can inspire others to engage in similar behaviors, as in the case of the Marlian Empire in Nigeria. This study examined the complexities of the Marlian Empire’s cultural influence on the youth, by investigating how it shapes their perceptions, influences behaviors, and whether it poses a challenge to established norms of the society. The study is quantitative, adopting the descriptive survey method with questionnaires utilised as data gathering instrument from 150 undergraduates selected through simple random sampling method from Koladaisi University, Ibadan. Results from the data were analysed using the SPSS, and were presented in figures and illustrations. Findings indicate that social media played a significant role in the influence that the Marlian Empire presently has with majority of their followers emulating their lifestyle and attitude as portrayed online. The study concludes that portrayal of the celebrity culture mostly has negative impacts on the lives of youths in Nigeria and some of these unpleasant activities have been normalised. The study recommends that influential figures be encouraged to use their platforms to promote positive messages that positively influence youth behavior for proper development and growth.

The Covid-19 outbreak started in March 2020, and the Indonesian government has taken a long time to respond to it. With different ambiguous statements, public leaders contributed to the disruption of knowledge concerning the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, the study aims to investigate the communication strategy of Indonesia’s government in response to the early Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020. This study uses a qualitative method that analyzes news text from online media. The data collection technique in this research is a literature study. The source of this research data comes from statements by four Indonesian ministers regarding the Covid-19 outbreak from online media. The goal of this study is to understand the narrative in online media concerning Indonesian public officials' response to COVID-19 by analyzing the word frequency using NVIVO 12 Plus software. Findings from this study indicate that numerous issues with the utilization and dissemination of information about the COVID-19 pandemic demonstrate a lack of maturity and caution on the part of the government and media. Indonesia’s government could not provide excellent and precise information that followed the community's expectations regarding the pandemic. Indonesian public officials contributed to misinformation regarding the Covid-19 epidemic when dealing with the pandemic by providing ambiguous, incorrect, and misleading information.

This study aims to find out how the influence of the socialization of the Covid-19 vaccine program on children by the Indonesian government has on the level of parental acceptance in Medan City. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach to 200 parents of elementary school students. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and data analysis was carried out by testing hypotheses through t-test and f-test and the coefficient of determination. The results of the study found that the outreach carried out by the government about the benefits of the Covid-19 vaccine for children was not effective. This can be seen from the results of the coefficient of determination test, whether there is a level of trust of respondents in the information on the Covid-19 vaccine and whether there is a child's behavior in implementing the health protocol which is carried out simultaneously. regarding the respondent's attitude regarding Covid-19 vaccination for children, the respondent's acceptance rate was 14.1%. This shows the failure of the Indonesian government in socializing the benefits of the Covid-19 vaccine for children in efforts to prevent Covid-19.

With the development of e-commerce in recent years, online consumption and the resulting phenomenon of irrational consumption online have gradually attracted research attention. This paper explored to what extent self-esteem and social media usage influence Chinese young consumers’ irrational consumption behavior. A total of 1504 Chinese college students over 30 provinces were recruited by convenience sampling and answered an online survey between August 2019 and May 2020. The Bootstrap method was used to examine the mediating effects of excessive use of social media on the relationship between self-esteem and irrational consumer behaviors. Results showed that both self-esteem and social media usage have a direct and significant relationship with irrational consumption; and the degree of social media overuse mediates the relationship between self-esteem and irrational consumption. Such results imply that an individual's self-esteem can influence his/her irrational consumption behavior by influencing the extent of his/her social media usage. The findings have significant implications for developing programs that aim to promote healthy financial behavior among young people in the digital age. At the same time, the study also makes theoretical contributions to the field of consumer behavior in the cyber era.

Many beauty products, including Scarlett Whitening products, use brand ambassadors in their promotions. One of the hype beauty products among Indonesians is Scarlett Whitening by Felicya Angelista. Regarding the influence of brand ambassadors on purchase intention, previous studies have shown inconsistent results. This research aims to determine the power of brand ambassadors in influencing brand image and purchase intention for Scarlett Whitening beauty products. This research replicates previous model by differentiating the research context. The concepts used to support this research are brand ambassador, brand image, and purchase intention. The object of this research is Scarlett Whitening's product. Data were collected using questionnaires distributed through Google Forms to 151 respondents who had ever bought and used Scarlett Whitening, selected judgmentally. Using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of WarpPLS 8.0 as the data analysis tool, the study found that brand ambassadors' power positively influences the brand image and purchase intention. The author suggests companies consider adding product variants for other skin types. Future researchers can add or use different variables to enrich these research findings.
