Abstract

This research aims to explore lecturers’ perceptions of the use of e-learning in supporting performance in the English Language Education Study Program. Data was collected through a survey using a questionnaire distributed to lecturers at several universities. The research results show that the majority of lecturers have good knowledge about e-learning and recognize its benefits in supporting the learning process. However, problems related to accessibility and quality of internet networks are a major concern, with most lecturers stating that e-learning is ineffective for students in areas with limited internet access. Despite facing technical challenges, the majority of lecturers still feel happy and satisfied in using e-learning as a learning medium. In conclusion, efforts to improve technological infrastructure, training and support related to e-learning must be strengthened to improve the quality of learning and performance of lecturers in the English Language Education Study Program.

These values are nurtured through various methods, including lectures, role modeling, habituation, counseling, and discipline. Key internal factors, such as student motivation, and external factors, like caregiver support and quality facilities, further enhance the character-building process. Despite challenges, including student boredom and distance learning difficulties, the boarding school’s holistic approach has succeeded in fostering intellectually capable individuals who embody Islamic moral values.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah 4.0, an educational model utilizing advanced technology to foster religious moderation in Indonesian Islamic primary schools. The research focuses on three Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI Al-Barokah, MI Darul Muta’allimin, and MI Nurussalam), chosen for their diverse geographical contexts (urban, border, and rural) and varying levels of technological infrastructure. The study includes 5 teachers, 3 principals, and 60 students from these schools as the primary research subjects. It explores how digital platforms, mobile applications, and online learning environments are used to teach Islamic values, with a focus on pluralism, tolerance, and anti-radicalism. Findings show that technology significantly enhances student engagement and understanding of Islamic teachings, providing opportunities for a moderate worldview. However, the study also identifies key challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, limited access to technology, and the need for teacher training. The study concludes that when implemented effectively, technology can be a powerful tool in promoting moderate religious values and creating an inclusive, balanced approach to Islamic education.

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of Islamic education in Indonesia, focusing on the role of pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) in integrating digital literacy and promoting religious moderation. The research was conducted at three pesantren: Pondok Pesantren Miftahul Ula, Pondok Pesantren Annur, and Pondok Pesantren Fajrul Ula. These institutions were chosen for their unique approaches to blending traditional Islamic education with contemporary digital tools. The study uses a qualitative research design, employing interviews, participant observations, and document analysis to collect data from students, educators, and administrators. The analysis focuses on how digital literacy is incorporated into the curricula of these pesantren and how it influences students' understanding of Islamic teachings in the digital era. Additionally, the research investigates the role of these pesantren in fostering a balanced approach to religious practice, promoting tolerance, and encouraging moderation in Islamic thought. The findings suggest that the incorporation of digital technology not only enhances educational accessibility but also contributes to a more inclusive and moderate religious discourse among students. This study concludes that pesantren play a pivotal role in shaping a progressive and harmonious Islamic education system in Indonesia, balancing tradition with modernity.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and test the effectiveness of the GIDI-SNAKE learning media based on Powtoon animation videos to address low learning achievement in seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Tugu, particularly in the topic of formulating and establishing Pancasila as the state ideology. The issue is exacerbated by the minimal use of innovative learning media by teachers. The ADDIE development model was applied to create a GIDI-SNAKE game board integrated with Powtoon videos. The game features question and information cards with barcodes, dice, pawns, and cue cards. The product was evaluated for validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The validity was confirmed with an average validation score of 3.84 from two media validators and 3.70 from the material validator. The practicality was demonstrated by a 94.7% approval rate from students. The effectiveness was validated by a significant improvement in learning outcomes, with pre-test and post-test scores of 41.29 and 85.23, respectively, and a significance value (sig) of 0.001, confirming the media’s effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes.
