Abstract

This study was designed to investigate the influence of workload, job satisfaction, and training on employee productivity at PT PLN Nusa Daya UL Ketapang. The research employed a quantitative approach, with the employees of PT PLN Nusa Daya UL Ketapang serving as the population. From a total of 395 employees, 100 respondents were selected as the sample using a non-probability sampling method with purposive sampling. This technique was chosen to ensure that only employees who met certain predetermined criteria, such as having recorded productivity data, were included in the analysis. Data collection was carried out through a survey method by distributing structured questionnaires to the respondents. Before conducting the analysis, the research instrument underwent several tests to ensure its accuracy and reliability, including validity, reliability, linearity, and multicollinearity tests. These tests confirmed that the instrument was consistent and capable of measuring the research variables appropriately. The data obtained were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis, supported by the t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R²). These statistical methods enabled the researcher to determine both the partial and simultaneous effects of workload, job satisfaction, and training on employee productivity. The results revealed that workload has a negative and significant effect on employee productivity, meaning that excessive workload tends to reduce performance. Meanwhile, job satisfaction and training both showed positive and significant effects, indicating that employees with higher job satisfaction and adequate training tend to achieve better productivity. In conclusion, the study emphasizes the importance of managing workload effectively while simultaneously improving job satisfaction and providing training opportunities to enhance employee productivity at PT PLN Nusa Daya UL Ketapang

Abstract

Talent management is a strategic instrument in the development of civil service human resources, particularly in realizing a planned, transparent, and merit-based career development system for civil servants (PNS). This study aims to analyze the implementation of talent management as a strategy for civil service human resource development, focusing on career development for PNS in Banjarbaru City. The research method applied is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach at the Personnel and Human Resource Development Agency (BKPSDM) of Banjarbaru City. The Banjarbaru City Government already has a clear legal foundation through Mayor Regulation Number 49 of 2023 concerning the Implementation of PNS Talent Management, which refines Mayor Regulation Number 56 of 2022 and is a follow-up to Ministerial Regulation of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PermenPAN-RB) Number 3 of 2020. Since the regulation was enacted, the City Government has conducted talent management assessment centers for 2,282 civil servants during the 2023–2025 period, which were then mapped into 9 talent boxes. Out of a total of 2,282 civil servants who were mapped, the results have not yet been fully followed up through promotions, rotations, or succession planning, indicating that the implementation is still at an early stage. Theoretically, this study emphasizes the role of talent management in PNS career development as a sustainable strategy for civil service human resource development. Practically, this study recommends strengthening the merit system, expanding access to competency development, and digitizing the talent management process to support transparency and effectiveness in PNS career development in Banjarbaru City.

Abstract

Character education is crucial and a shared focus, particularly in the field of education. Character education must be prepared and implemented from an early age and can be implemented in elementary school. Character education for elementary school students is an effort to prepare a generation with character that can bring about positive change for the Indonesian nation and state. The era of Society 5.0 presents both opportunities for development and challenges that are increasingly challenging compared to previous eras. Therefore, character education must be thoroughly implemented so that students develop character aligned with Islamic teachings and are able to face more complex challenges. This research was conducted using a qualitative library research approach. The data presented in the discussion were obtained through a literature review referring to various scientific sources, such as books, scientific articles, and studies related to the topic. The results are presented directly and objectively through descriptive narrative. Character education at the elementary school level is implemented by instilling religious values in students, promoting a culture of reading and literacy, and conducting extracurricular activities tailored to each student's interests and talents. Character education implementation for elementary school students must be ongoing and supported by teachers so that students become accustomed to the patterns established at school.

Abstract

Mining remains an indispensable pillar of the global economy, supplying essential resources for construction, manufacturing, and the ongoing energy transition. Yet across the last decade, productivity growth in mining industries has been inconsistent despite enormous technological advances and increased investment in mechanisation and digitalisation. This literature review synthesises over 50 peer-reviewed studies and industry reports published between 2015 and 2025 to identify and evaluate the main factors influencing productivity in global mining operations. The analysis groups findings into seven thematic categories: (1) human capital and organisational culture, (2) equipment utilisation and maintenance practices, (3) technological adoption and automation, (4) geological and environmental constraints, (5) supply-chain and logistics efficiency, (6) regulatory and sustainability pressures, and (7) macroeconomic and cyclical influences. Recent evidence shows that the productivity gap between high-performing and average mines is widening, driven not by resource quality alone but by differences in managerial capability, data utilisation, and operational integration. Emerging literature emphasises that productivity enhancement requires a holistic, system-based approach that combines technological innovation with workforce competence, sustainability alignment, and governance reform. The review concludes that the next decade will demand a re-conceptualization of productivity from narrow cost-per-tonne metrics toward integrated measures of digital efficiency, environmental resilience, and social value creation.
