Abstract

This thesis is compiled to analyze supplier selection in Mayora Group, which is a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company, with the object of research using Corn Starch as raw material for making glucose creamer on Kopiko and Torabika items. Based on the criteria that have previously been used by the company, the researcher develops the criteria, sub-criteria for supplier selection and supplier classification as well as consistency test from respondents’ answers based on the level of experience and competence of the 4 departments related to the procurement process of raw material imports so that priority suppliers are selected from the current existing suppliers. The determination of supplier selection criteria is calculated based on the weight of the criteria. This criterion weighting is applied through the Analytical Hierarchy Process method. Based on the results of the study, 7 criteria are obtained for the supplier selection, in order of the highest to the lowest priority: Quality, Price, Document Completeness, Delivery, Service, Company Condition, and Geographical location. The value of consistency ratio (CR) in the pairwise comparison matrix of the criteria, sub-criteria, and alternatives of the results of the respondent’s questionnaire answers is within the tolerance limit, so that it is included in the valid and consistent category.

Krakatau Posco, controls inventory using EOQ, determines safety stock, ROP and maximum inventory. By controlling the ordering and inventory also expected to provide significant savings for the company, by reducing inventory costs (Total Inventory Cost). The conclusion of this research is the EOQ method is the right method for controlling steel raw material fabrication to meet the production and repair processes at PT. Krakatau Posco and with this method the results of total inventory costs are also more efficient.

Abstract

Postmodernism, a reality that is beginning to have a strong influence on the lives of individuals and groups, is no exception in the management of organizations, particularly good corporate governance (GCG). This understanding has led to pessimism and apathy toward the increasingly uncontrollable passion of life, as a result of thoughts that no longer believe in absolute truth and objective and rational standards. This paper further reveals the implications of postmodernism on ethics, proxy war, and optimizing the application of GCG in government organizations. The results of the in-depth study concluded that postmodernization was entrenched in the lives of both individuals and groups, doing what was right in their own view (group), reduced trust in community diversity, pluralism, relativism, information overload, high mobility, identity confusion, consumerism and etc. Ethics has been eliminated and the proxy war is out of control. Proxy war as an arm of a country that seeks to get its strategic interests in a particular country. Proxy war has taken place in various forms, especially in Indonesia, such as ethics in the use of the internet.

Abstract

Non-formal education is predicted to be the future backbone in supporting the literacy in highly populated country (Ololube, 2012). Indonesia as one of the E-9 countries have acknowledged the needs to strengthen the non-formal education as one of the key supporting elements in enhancing the education index. Both government and non-government organization have participated actively in establishing the non-formal education to be more accessible and convenience. The fundamental issue is that the teacher quality in education is still below expectation (Baswedan, 2014). Moreover, non-formal education has encountered dilemma in creating optimum performance of their teacher due to its non-profit nature. Nevertheless, it is evidenced that they still manage to deliver their jobs adequately. Therefore, this paper will investigate the determining factors of such unique setting. This study’s instruments are the psychological empowerment scale used by Spreitzer (1995), The Self-Regulation Questionnaire (SRQ) (Brown, Miller, & Lawendowski, 1999), Islamic work ethic scaling (Ali, 1988) and the questionnaire teachers’ job performance self-rating questionnaire (TJPSQ) were developed to measure teachers’ job performance. The result of the study indicates that empowerment and istiqamah have significantly influenced to teachers’ job performance, while self-regulations have no significant effect on Job performance.
