Development of science and technology today has broughta great influence on human life. Such development has made people to be selfish or individualism. Man forgets that he is a social creature who can not live alone without the others. Many people no longer care for others creates the harmony among human beings no longer exist. It also affects the life of faith and the faithful involvement in social life. Thus, the Church believes that Ecclesial Communities could help many people to empower their of faith, love, and service as the members Basic Ecclesial Communities. Based on this backgmund, researcher want to explore the understanding of the faith people about the role Basic Ecclesial Community in empowering Christian faithful. Research carried out at Mater Dei Parish particularly in the St. Sebastiano. In this study, researchers applied interviews method to collect data. Interviews were conducted with Catholics to obtain depth information about the study. Data related to the understanding of respondents on the Basic Ecclesial Communities showed that (86%) of respondents interpreted the Basic Ecclesial Communities as a smal number of people. While related to the characteristic of Basic Ecclesial Communities, (67%) of respondents said that the members of this community often gathered together to share their spiritual and social experiences. Then where respondents were asked about the benefits of existing Ecclesial Communities (53%) of respondents said that the benefits are experiance ing mutual help, support, and strengthening one another.

As an institute that prepares a catechist aspirant, STKIP Widya Yuwana Madiun operated spirituality guidance and pastoral activity training and guidance. Because, spiritual's life and apolostate activity mutually support each other. But, guidance and training was held not necessarily got fully attentions. Based of the case, researcher intend obtain a deep understanding of student comprehention about spirituality and pastoral activity guidance in STKIP Widya Yuwana Madiun, and student perception about both connection. The research result indicate that STKIP Widya Yuwana Madiun's student observe a connection between spirituality guidance and pastoral activity guidance as an unity that mutually support each other. Student meaningful the spirituality and pastoral activity guidance based by it's purpose, that is by personal preparation, developing of relations with God and fellow, spirituality of attendance, and reaction concerning life vacation as a catechist aspirant.

The task of organizing education is primarily the responsibility of parents and assisted by the community as long as it is needed. The task of organizing education is also the responsibility of the Church. The Church takes part in the world of education, among others, through Catholic religious education in Catholic schools. The learning process of Catholic Religious Education is intended to improve the faith of Catholic youth. The research was conducted by using qualitative research method. Qualitative research method is a form of research designed to examine attitudes, views, feelings, and behavior of individuals or groups of people or social issues being investigated. This study aims to analyze the extent to which Catholic Religious Education affects the development of faith and behavioral change of the Catholic Junior High School students in Madiun. The results of the research indicated that 7 (58%) of respondents stated that junior high school students were students between 13-15 years old. There were 12 (100%) respondents said that Catholic Religious Education taught in the School was able to help the junior high school students to have more knowledge about Jesus and his preaching. As many as 6 (50%) of respondents stated that Catholic Religious Education is very helpful to get know more about themselves personally. There were 8 (67%) of respondents stated that the teaching of Catholic Religion made their faith progressively improved. Broadly speaking, all respondents experienced that Catholic Religious teaching has made their Catholic faith being developed so far. It made the respondents more diligent and actively involved in throughout Catholic Church activities and any social affairs.

Motivation is a conscious effort, which comes from within and outside of a person. Motivation is affecting a person's behavior so that he moved his heart to act to do something to achieve a certain result or goal. The call to be a catechist must be well motivated and not just looking for a position. This motivation is also needed by students of STKIP Widya Yuwana, as a potential catechist. The issues that arise are: whether the students of STKIP Widya Yuwana have pure motivation from inside themself as catechist? Are their motivations fixed or changed? Do they have the motivation to serve? How far the initial motivation to enter college to give influence for students of STKIP Widya Yuwana? How does motivation have an impact on pastoral care, which is the duty and responsibility of students of STKIP Widya Yuwana, as a potential catechist?Based on the problem, the purpose of this research is to see how far the influence of early motivation for college students of STKIP Widya Yuwana to the spirit of service in the environment.Through questionnaires to 48 respondents using quantitative research methods, it was found that most of the students admitted that there was an influence between the initial motivation to enter the lecture toward the pastoral practice in the environment, but the initial motivation of the students as candidates for catechism and/religious teachers needs to be refined so that students seriously answer the call of his life as a catechist candidate, not just to pursue offers that offer a position or salary alone. Thus, the coaching of these students needs to get the attention of many parties.

The family has a great responsibility and role in the child's faith education. Children's faith education can be done through a family’s together prayer habit. One of the ways commonly used as a habit for Christian families in educating and nurturing children's faith is to instill the habit of praying in the family. Does the Christian family have a good understanding habit of the praying together in the Christian Family? Does the family have an awareness of the faith education for the development of the child’s faith? Do they understand the effect of praying together in their family for the development of the child’s faith? Based on these issues the research in this paper attempts to analyze how far the influence of family prayer for the development of the child’s faith.This study uses a qualitative method. The respondents of this study are Christian families who have children in the age range 0 to 12 years, and who live in the IV region of St. Cornelius Madiun Parish. The number of respondents in this study were 8 families. Based on the results of the study, all respondents or 8 respondents (100%) realized that the together praying in the family has a great influence on the development of the child's faith. There were 7 respondents (58,33%) emphasize that habit of the praying together in the Christian family can give spiritual provisions for the children, besides 5 respondents (62.5%) who said that habit of the praying in the Christian family is a means to educate children and 4 respondent (36,36%) expressed the habit of praying together in the family can fostering attention in the family.

Tujuan hakiki dari peziarahan setiap manusia ialah beristirahat dalam Allah. Maka, tidak ada satupun kekayaan material di dunia ini yang sanggup memberikankepuasan abadi kepada manusia selain Allah sendiri. Kebangkitan spiritual luar biasa di kalangan remaja berupa ziarah rohani ke berbagai tempat suci di duniamerupakan kecenderungan terdalam lubuk hati remaja untuk bersatu dengan Allah. Hal ini terjadi karena setiap remaja diciptakan dan dipanggil Allah untuk mencari dan menemukan sesuatu yang indah, baik, bernilai dan tidak terbatas di luar dirinya sendiri. Kebangkitan spiritual ini perlu direspon secara serius dan positif oleh Gereja melalui berbagai upaya konkrit memberi perhatian, membimbing, mendidik dan merayakan iman bersama remaja agar iman remaja dapat bertumbuh dan berakar dalam Yesus. Sebab tanpa Yesus hidup remaja akan pudar, layu, lenyap dantidak bermakna.

The development of this technology matures more rapidly as human beings who have a high curiosity, each of us must try to do something new. Not a problem if each of us can understand it wisely and use them appropriately and wisely because of all that is demand time we need to know as a human being who has the time and living in the era. There was no denying young people today prefer instant lifestyle and demanding all the good and bad without any struggle. The dynamics of young people living in the various facts presented, including a variety of degeneration. The facts about the slump of moral, intellectual, and spiritual youth is not an absolute thing that can not be changed There are still many roads lead to Rome, so did the rise of young people, there are many ways towards him. Opportunity is still wide open as long as we actually believe and try So much indeed that we must face the challenges before it all come true. Catechesis of young people with a variety of appropriate methods should refer to a formation character useful for the development of self and community and church.

Remaja memiliki tanggung jawab yang besar terhadap keberlangsungan kehidupan Gereja dan bangsa di masa depan. Rasa tanggung jawab ini perlu ditanamkan dan dibina sejak anak berusia dini dan dilanjutkan pada usia remaja. Pendidikan iman remaja merupakan salah satu sarana dalam menanamkan dan membina rasa tanggung jawab remaja terhadap iman pribadi, iman Gereja dan cinta bangsa. Supaya penanaman dan pembinaan rasa tanggungjawab terse but efektif, para pendidik iman remaja harus memiliki pengenalan yang memadai terhadap remaja, yaitu kondisi psikis, pergulatan-pergulatan hidup, kebutuhan serta masalah yang mengitari mereka. Sebab secara psikologis usia remaja merupakan salah satu periode penting dalam perkembangan manusia dengan kebutuhan dan masalah yang khas. Kondisi ini berpengaruh terhadap isi, bentuk, peran pembina, metode dan hasil pembinaan.

Kenakalan remaja adalah segala bentuk perilaku remaja yang bersifat melanggar yang dilakukan oleh remaja di bawah usia 18 tahun. Kenakalan remaja dapatmengakibatkan kerugian dan kerusakan baik terhadap dirinya sendiri maupun orang lain. Kenakalan remaja biasanya ditandai dengan sifat kepribadian khusus yang menyimpang. Faktor-faktor penyebabnya antara lain kontrol diri (self control) yang rendah, abusive relationship dalam keluarga, dan pengaruh teman sebaya. Salah satu strategi yang sekiranya dapat dijadikan sebagai model konseling pastoral untuk membantu mengatasi perilaku remaja menyimpang adalah model konseling realitas (reality therapy) oleh William Glasser (1965) dengan model WDEP.

Masa remaja adalah masa penuh gejolak. Sekolah Katolik diharapkan berperan aktif dalam membina dan mendampingi remaja menghadapi aneka gejolak yangdihadapi oleh remaja. Supaya pembinaan dan pendampingan yang dilakukan oleh sekolah dapat berjalan efektif maka sekolah perlu melakukan penyesuaian kebijakan pendampingan di sekolah dengan mempertimbangkan perubahan-perubahan sosial yang sedang terjadi dalam masyarakat saat ini, terutama di kalangan ramaja.
