Abstract

The Community Service program activity of the Electricity and Renewable Energy Faculty lecturer team at the PLN Technology Institute for the 2019/2020 fiscal year was carried out in Sukadana village, Ciomas district, Serang region, Banten precisely at RT 011 RW 003 Cilatak hamlet. The selection of Sukadana village as a place to implement Community Service is because this village is still experiencing problems in the construction and development facilities and infrastructure. The problems that are currently being experienced by villagers regarding the clean water distribution for ablution of villagers in the mosque. During this time for ablution in mosque, villagers only rely on water from mountain springs whose distribution relies on gravitational pressure through a plastic hose and accommodated in a large tub located beside the mosque. In addition to being used for ablution, water is also used by villagers to bathing, washing, etc., so that when used for ablution sometimes it is no longer clean because it has been mixed with soapy water used for bathing and washing. Based on those problems, our team provided solution to partner in the form of infrastructure development and clean water supply by reconfiguring the clean water distribution installation for ablution in the mosque by installing solar water pump. The method used in the implementation of this Community Service activity is to approach the villagers during the survey through interviews by providing solution to the problem and conducting questionnaires and socialization in the form of a brief education. The results of the activities have been done by installing 2 units of DC water pump @180 Watt, 4 units of polycrystalline solar modules @100 Wp, 2 units of battery @100 Ah 12 V and 2 units of solar charge controller. With the implementation of Community Service activities in Sukadana village, aside from being able to help overcome the problems faced by partner, besides that it can provide progress and development of infrastructure for partner village and the existence of a partnership that makes that village as IT PLN assisted village.

Abstract

SDIT Yasir is one of the schools under the management of the Ibnu Rusydi Islamic Education Foundation in Cipondoh, Tangerang. The school that aspires to create Indonesian young generations that resemble Ibnu Rusydi has several obstacles in carrying out daily teaching and learning activities. One of the issues is the teacher and staff data management. Therefore, the PKM team from the Informatics Engineering Department IT PLN intends to help the Yasir SDIT school by designing a web-based application for handling the employees. The application can be used to manage teacher and employee data, monitor teacher and employee attendances, and provide teacher performance assessments. Abstract

Photovoltaic systems or solar power plants convert electromagnetic energy from sunlight into electrical energy. This renewable energy based power plant is one of the recommended solutions for electricity in remote rural areas where sunlight is abundant and fuel is difficult to obtain and relatively expensive. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has issued Ministerial Regulation regarding the use of the Roof Solar Power Plant system by consumers of the Indonesian Electricity Company (PLN). It is hoped that with this regulation the solar panel business and industry can flourish. The method we use in this Community Service is the observation method. By making observations in the field accompanied by interviews with the surrounding population becomes our primary data source in determining the needs of the problems that occur. In Cilatak Village we found minimal of street lighting, and limited electricity supply, for this reason we strongly support programs for new and renewable energy for remote areas that are difficult to get electricity supply. Based on this, we created the Development of Public Street Lights with Solar Electricity in Cilatak Village, Ciomas District, Serang District, Banten, so that the problems of public road lighting can be overcome, and we educated the utilization and maintenance.

Abstract

The existence of street lighting and or public facilities is one of the things that is very important for the smooth running of residents' activities, especially at night. However, not all of them had lighting installed as in the Al-Falah Serua Ciputat Mosque in South Tangerang. This village is a village that is electrified but electricity supply for public facilities and roads is still minimal, due also to the large cost of using electricity. Therefore it is necessary to install public and street lighting facilities in this case in the form of solar lights as an effective alternative to solutions in lighting and to reduce the cost of using electricity from PLN. The solar lights are very suitable to be installed in this location, considering that the lights do not require electricity from residents' houses and PLN, and geographically the location is very potential for utilizing solar power because it is still very green. Solar lights are installed at strategic points on the road to Al Falah Mosque and the front porch of Al Falah Mosque itself. The lamp used is a HILIOS SL-40W lamp with 40Watt power. In addition to street lighting and public facilities, an economic analysis is also carried out on this activity by comparing the total costs required between incandescent lighting with solar power. Where the nominal difference obtained in rupiah is Rp 311,055.2 lighter than PJU incandescent lamps, and solar lights are not affected by TDL (basic electricity tariff).

Abstract

This community service program is a development and continuation of previous program activities that take the theme of Solar Power Plant Design Training in Madrasah Aliyah Darussalam Parung Bogor with a focus on designing simple solar power plant for catfish ponds that use battery , DC lights, and 5 WP solar panels. The focus on this community service program is training on the application of appropriate technology for solar power generation with a household group R-1 / TR 2200 VA that uses solar panels, batteries, and controller. This program activity is divided into several stages, including site survey, socialization, solar power generation, and testing of solar power plant component, training, system installation, component assembly, and program evaluation. The first stage is a site survey conducted to obtain preliminary information about electricity usage patterns in the Raudhatul Ishlah. The second stage is the socialization of the program to the students and the community. The next stage is the solar power generation component testing to find out the quality and the identification of its components. Then the fourth stage is the introduction of its technology to give participants a greater understanding. The fifth stage is the assembly and installation of solar power generation components. The last stage is program evaluation using the interview and filling out the questionnaire. This program is held at Raudhatul Ishlah. This activity is the application technology which is very useful in the provision of electricity independently to support various activities in Islamic boarding schools and communities. Keywords: solar power generation, hybrid power generation, load supply regulation, automatic transfer switch, photovoltaic ABSTRAK Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini merupakan pengembangan dan kelanjutan dari kegiatan PKM sebelumnya yang mengambil tema tentang Pelatihan Rancang Bangun Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya di Madrasah Aliyah Darussalam Parung Bogor dengan fokus kepada perancangan PLTS sederhana untuk kolam benur lele yang menggunakan komponen baterai, lampu DC dan panel surya 5 WP. Sedangkan fokus pada program PKM ini berupa pelatihan penerapan teknologi tepat guna pembangkit listrik tenaga surya (PLTS) dengan skala rumah tangga golongan R-1/TR 2200 VA yang menggunakan beberapa peralatan dengan teknologi tepat guna seperti panel surya, baterai dan controller (ATS – Automatic Transfer Switch). Kegiatan PKM ini terbagi dalam beberapa tahapan, meliputi: survei lokasi, sosialisasi, pengujian komponen PLTS, pelatihan, perakitan dan instalasi sistem serta evaluasi program. Tahap pertama adalah survei lokasi yang dilakukan untuk mendapatkan informasi awal mengenai pola pemakaian listrik di Pesantren Raudhatul Ishlah. Tahap kedua adalah sosialisasi kegiatan PKM kepada para santri dan masyarakat. Tahap selanjutnya adalah tahap pengujian komponen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas dari PLTS, serta identifikasi komponen PLTS. Kemudian tahap keempat yaitu pengenalan teknologi PLTS untuk memberi pemahaman lebih mengenai teknologi PLTS. Tahap kelima adalah perakitan dan pemasangan (install) komponen PLTS secara keseluruhan. Tahap terakhir dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah evaluasi program dengan menggunakan metode interview dan pengisian kuisioner. Kegiatan PKM ini dipusatkan di Pondok Pesantren Raudhatul Ishlah, Kelurahan Serua, Tengerang Selatan. Kegiatan ini merupakan penerapan teknologi PLTS yang sangat berguna dalam pengadaan listrik secara mandiri untuk mendukung berbagai aktivitas di dalam pondok pesantren dan masyarakat. Abstract

Clean water is one of the most vital human needs. Indonesia, which the largest part of its territory is water, in fact is still experiencing difficulties to meet the clean water needs of its population. Based on the data from the Central Statistics Agency in 2018, the percentage of households with clean drinking water sources is 72.99%. Sajira Subdistrict in Lebak, Banten is one that is affected by severe drought. They always experience drought for 6-9 months annually. The people independently built water reservoirs from mountain water sources. Water is pumped using a water pumping machine and accommodated in reservoirs, then distributed to local residents through pipes with minimum distribution distance is 1 km from the reservoir. Due to long distance of the water distribution,many houses can’t be reached by the water. It can be solved by adding a water pump in the reservoir. So the clean water distribution, which is initially only relies on pipes and gravity, can be maximized by the thrust of the water pump. Beside the water pump, the solar panel is also added to the system as a power supply. Thus, the residents don't need to pay for electricity bill to run the pumping system.

Abstract

Although it has been known for a long time the management of historical tourism potential of Situs Batu Tulis Ciaruteun has not been well categorized, because: 1) a simple management system, and still uses conventional and manual methods, especially for site information and cultural activities; and 2) The form of reservation and registration of entry into cultural/historical attractions still uses manual methods so that it influences the management and financial management of this site. These things cause the development of tourism objects to be hampered and in the end, become undeveloped. The potential for the development of cultural/historical tourism objects is very large considering the historical and cultural contributions that can be given. Data collection methods used are using observation, literature study and interviews, while the method of implementing activities is by creating a special website that combines 3 historical sites (Batu tulis, Tapak Gajah, dan Muara Cianten) which are located nearby. The solutions offered are: 1) creating a special website for cultural/historical attractions fot Situs Batu Tulis and its surroundings which contains historical information, cultural activities, and other activities; 2) create a management information system for reservation and registration of visits that is integrated with the website; and 3) provide training on the usages of the website and reservation and registration information system for village officials, youth groups, and object administrator. The contributions that will be felt by the surrounding community include: 1) improving the quality of life through economic empowerment including: welfare, hygiene, and health; 2) Increasing the popularity of the region which in turn can become the superior assets of region and province; and 3) increasing the understanding of history and culture of the surrounding community.

Abstract

Water requirements for the people in sukarame village, Sajira, for daily needs in the dry season tend to increase, They always experience drought for 6-9 months annually. The people independently built water reservoirs from mountain water sources. Water is pumped using a water pumping machine and accommodated in reservoirs, then distributed to local residents through pipes with minimum distribution distance is 1 km from the reservoir. Because the distance between water sources and the people complaining about clean water does not reach their homes. This problem can be done by building a ground well located not far from the house of the community, so that the distance between the source of clean water and the house of the community is not too far, water from the water source will be accommodated in reservoirs by sucking ground water using a solar water pump so residents are not burdened with electricity fees to suck ground well water into clean air tendons. This design is expected to provide a solution for clean water sources for volunteers in the village of Sajira.

Abstract

Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membangun aplikasi Wawasan Nusantara dalam upaya meningkatkan wawasan kebangsaan, nilai-nilai kebangsaan dalam pemberdayaan dan penguatan kesadaran berbangsa dan bernegara yang berlandaskan pada Pancasila, UUD 1945, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, dan NKRI bagi Guru Sekolah Dasar dengan teknologi berbasis Multimedia dan Augmented Reality. Permasalahan muncul bagaimana menerapkan suatu metode pembelajaran yang tepat untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang kewarganegaraan itu ke peserta didik, apalagi di tengah Pandemic Covid 19 saat ini yang rasanya tidak mudah memberikan pengetahuan dan pemahaman kewarnegaraan itu kepada para siswa SD menggunakan cara-cara konvensional seperti masa sebelum pandemik. Pelatihan Metode Pembelajaran Keewarganegaraan untuk Guru Sekolah Dasar ini mencoba menawarkan solusi metode pembelajaran kepada peserta pelatihan yang sebagian besar adalah guru sekolah dasar dari berbagai wilayah di Indonesia. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan secara online menggunakan aplikasi zoom meeting yang sukses menarik peserta dari berbagai wilayah di tanah air, di antaranya dari Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, Sulawesi Tengah, dan Jawa Timur. Lebih kurang lima puluh peserta hadir dalam pelatihan ini. Teknologi ini sebelumnya sudah diterapkan di beberapa sekolah dasar di Bekasi. Hasilnya ada peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemahaman peserta didik ketika menggunakan pendekatan teknologi tersebut. Sistem aplikasi pembelajaran kewarganegaraan ini secara garis besar muatan materinya mencakup tiga hal utama yang saling berhubungan dalam proses pembelajaran, yakni belajar, bermain dan latihan. Ketiga hal tersebut disajikan dengan mudah dan menarik dengan kombinasi teks, gambar, suara, animasi dan video. Cara ini diharapkan dapat menarik minat para siswa SD untuk belajar dan memahami tentang kewarganegaraan dan wawasan kebangsaan Indonesia.

Abstract

The electrical installation is a circuit of electrical equipment which is interconnected with one another and it is within the scope of the electrical power system. This article is to present the result of social community service (PkM) activity at Boarding School of STP SMP/SMA KU Sumedang, that shows an electrical installation design of multi-storey building. In construction of multi-storey building of this boarding school, they do not have an electrical installation design. So, the design in this article is to provide design drawings of the electrical installation, so it could be guidance of setting up of electrical installation for the new boarding school building. So that, they got the electrical installation safely for human and the equipment, as well reliable and comfort during using electricity. The design drawings that resulted from the social community service are drawings of front look, beside look, wiring, and single line diagram (SLD). Also, resulted total power calculation, protection, and capacity (rating) of MCB, and calculated cable rating (KHA), choosing type and cross-sectional area of cables that will be used in electrical installation design for the boarding school building.
