Abstract

In the digital era, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) face challenges in managing various distribution channels and adapting to constantly changing customer demands. PT Veteri, an MSME based in Surabaya that produces chewable gummy supplements for pets, encounters several business process issues, such as suboptimal workflows, slow customer response times, manual record-keeping, and excessive costs in non-core processes. This study aims to analyze and evaluate the business processes in the production and marketing divisions of PT Veteri using a Business Process Management (BPM) approach. The methods used include collecting quantitative and qualitative data, process analysis, designing a new business model, and measuring the impact after implementation. The findings show that by applying BPM, the company can redesign its processes to be more effective and efficient, particularly in terms of timeliness and cost efficiency. The recommendations include digitizing records, optimizing production flows, and improving customer-oriented digital marketing strategies

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the security of a Laravel 12-based news information system by implementing Rate Limiting and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). The current website-based information system is vulnerable to hacking and redirection to online gambling sites, indicating serious security weaknesses in the programming. Leveraging the robust capabilities of Laravel 12, this research implements security features such as rate limiting to prevent brute force attacks and RBAC to manage user access rights based on roles. In addition, it utilizes the advanced security features of Spatie Role Permissions in Laravel 12 to achieve layered protection. This is supported by the use of the MariaDB database in conjunction with Laravel 's Spatie Permissions package for more structured permission management. The research method employed is evaluative with a quantitative and descriptive approach, used to measure and analyze the quality of the software code before and after improvements. The results of this study provide a more secure solution for the information system.

Abstract

The increasing presence of inorganic waste such as plastic bottles and cans poses a serious environmental threat and demands efficient detection solutions. This study aims to develop a real-time detection and position estimation system for inorganic waste using the YOLO v4-Tiny algorithm combined with homography transformation. A total of 3,388 labeled images were prepared and augmented via the Roboflow platform. The detection model was trained using the Darknet framework, while homography was applied to estimate object positions in real-world coordinates. System performance was evaluated based on precision, recall, F1-score, mean Average Precision (mAP), and Intersection over Union (IoU). The results show a mAP of 86.43%, precision of 77%, recall of 90%, and an average IoU of 62.33%. The system achieved a frame rate of 3–5 FPS, demonstrating its potential for low-power embedded devices. This approach is suitable for real-time waste monitoring using computer vision in constrained environments.

Abstract

SMK Negeri 1 Sorong City is one of the largest vocational high schools in Sorong City, Southwest Papua. Management of committee dues payment reports at SMK Negeri 1 Sorong City is still very manual, namely by recording using book. This matter results in various problems, such as frequent damage to data storage media, errors in data recording and data loss, which hinders financial reporting. In this research, data collection was carried out through two types of data, namely primary data and secondary data. The waterfall method is the system development method used in this research. Program modeling tools, namely UML, include use case diagrams. The test used in this research is black box testing. The conclusion of this research is a web based committee dues payment reporting information system can be used as an efficient medium for reporting committee dues payment transactions.

Abstract

This study investigates user sentiment toward leading Indonesian e‑commerce applications through deep‑learning‑based text classification. A balanced corpus of 50,000 Indonesian‑language reviews was collected from Google Play and App Store for Tokopedia, Shopee, Bukalapak, Lazada, and Blibli. We applied two state‑of‑the‑art approaches—Long Short‑Term Memory (LSTM) networks enriched with pre‑trained FastText embeddings and fine‑tuned Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT; IndoBERT v2). Data pre‑processing included text cleaning, slang normalization, stemming, and tokenization following the KBBI standard. Both models were trained with an 80:20 stratified split and evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, F1‑score, and AUC. BERT achieved 90.6 % accuracy and 90.1 % F1‑score, outperforming LSTM's 83.2 % accuracy and 82.7 % F1‑score. McNemar’s test indicated the improvement is statistically significant (p < 0.01). These findings show that contextual embeddings capture nuanced Indonesian sentiments more effectively than sequential RNN‑based approaches, offering actionable insights for e‑commerce stakeholders to enhance customer experience.

Abstract

The Higher Education, Research, and Development Council of Muhammadiyah oversees various associations with diverse activities, yet data management is still conducted manually, making it inefficient and prone to errors. This study aims to develop a web-based association management information system using the Laravel and Filament frameworks. The Waterfall method is applied in the development process, which includes requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system implements Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to manage user access rights according to their roles. Key features include data management for associations, members, activity types, and activity history. Black Box testing results show that the system functions according to specifications, and usability evaluation indicates that the system is user-friendly. The developed system significantly improves efficiency, accuracy, and structured management of association activities. In conclusion, this information system provides an effective solution for association management and can be adopted by similar organizations to enhance operational efficiency.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has provided innovation in home automation, creating a smart home system that can provide comfort for its occupants. This study aims to design and test an IoT-based smart home system by implementing the development of the waterfall method using the cisco packet tracer platform. The designed system includes several IoT devices such as garage doors, lights, air conditioners, fans, sirens, surveillance cameras, doors, windows connected via an IoT server, wireless router, switch then controlled via a laptop and smartphone. The sensor functions to regulate light, temperature, to monitoring the home area from strangers, then will activate the actuator automatically. The steps in the waterfall approach begin with needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The results of the simulation show that the system reacts to input from the sensor directly and executes commands as desired. Thus, this design can be a bridge to facilitate the development of a simple smart home system that is efficient and easy to apply

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology encourages Umrah travel agencies to utilize digital systems to improve service efficiency and pilgrim satisfaction. PT. Ajwa Tour, as an Umrah travel agency in Jambi, faces challenges in the process of promotion, communication, and management of pilgrim data which is still carried out conventionally. This study aims to implement a mobile-based Umrah management application using the Kanban method as a system development approach. The Kanban method was chosen because of its flexibility in setting priorities and visualizing workflows effectively. This study went through several stages, starting from compiling a product backlog, planning, development, testing functionality with the blackbox method using Appium, to system deployment. The results of this study are in the form of a mobile application that provides various features such as Umrah package information, travel schedules, worship guides, payment systems, and integrated communication between pilgrims and the agency. Testing shows that the system runs well and the features developed have met user needs. With this application, it is hoped that PT. Ajwa Tour can improve the quality of services digitally and answer the challenges in managing Umrah worship more efficiently and effectively

Abstract

SRC Trisni Store's primary issue is the manual stock item recording method, which results in low operating efficiency, a significant risk of recording errors, and challenges in real-time monitoring of incoming and outgoing products data. In order to streamline the inventory management process, this study intends to develop and deploy an online stock monitoring information system. The Waterfall model, which includes the phases of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance, is the approach utilized for system development. According to the system development results, functions like controlling officers, suppliers, admin data, shelves, and arriving and exiting items may all operate as intended. The black box approach of testing demonstrates that every feature functions as intended by the user. To sum up, this technology can let SRC Trisni Store run more smoothly and efficiently by increasing the accuracy and efficiency of stock item management.

Abstract

This study develops a digital system for monitoring and providing price information in traditional markets in Toba Regency. The project addresses the lack of price transparency and difficulties faced by both merchants and consumers in accessing accurate market price data. The system is built using the Waterfall methodology and implements a website and mobile application using Flutter and Golang. Key features include price data input by market managers, administrative supervision by the Department of Cooperatives and Trade (Koperindag), and real-time public access to market prices. The application supports authentication, price management, and category control, and allows the export of reports. Testing was conducted using blackbox and performance methods. Results show that the system improves efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of market price data, supporting digital transformation in local trade.
