Abstract

This article discusses the Sumando Traditional wedding tradition in the coastal communities of Central Tapanuli. This tradition has been carried out by coastal communities for a long time, and is still practiced today. In its history, this tradition originated from the migration of people from Poncan Island to Sibolga, and then spread to other areas around the west coast of Sumatra, including Barus, Tapanuli Tengah. This study combines two methods, namely: field research methods and literature study. Data were obtained from observations in Pananggahan Village and interviews with several traditional leaders and a number of residents. The term sumando comes from the Batak language "suman", which has a similar meaning. Then, the word suman changed to the word sumando which adapted to the accent of the coastal community, but did not change its meaning. This tradition is usually carried out by the coastal communities of Central Tapanuli, especially those who are Muslims. The Sumando Traditional tradition is usually carried out for three days and three nights, both for weddings, circumcisions, and other events, but not at death ceremonies.

The potential for intellectual property in terms of industrial design is vast, especially in supporting the national economy. Therefore, legal protection for industrial design urgently needs, which will have an impact on the emergence of much creativity from creators in creating new designs, especially in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Recognition of the protection of intellectual property rights is philosophically closely related to the school of thought or natural law doctrine which emphasizes the human factor in using his mind to solve problems faced in all aspects of his life. Law Number 31 of 2000 concerning Industrial Design enacted to provide opportunities for designers who came from the Small and Medium Enterprises group that controlled nearly 90% of businesses in the State of Indonesia, which expected to take advantage of the protection of these Industrial Designs.

Abstract

There are still very few studies on the Aisyiyah Movement in South Sulawesi. Aisyiyah's contribution to South Sulawesi's development has never been publicized. This paper analyzes the 'Aisyiyah movement's role in advancing the social lives of South Sulawesi women during the New Order Era. The historical approach is applied in four stages in this study: heuristics (source collecting), verification (source critique), interpretation, and historiography (historical writing). The research findings indicate that Aisyiyah's gender paradigm encourages its members to engage in activities other than household work. Women are encouraged to take an active role in society and preach in the same way that men do. This shift in perspective began to be implemented in order to give women with equal rights, duties, and positions. 'Aisyiyah never took a frontal position with the government during the New Order. To continue her da'wah agenda, mainly in the areas of education, social and health, Aisyiyah prefers to adopt a conformist-adaptive strategy.

Abstract

This paper discusses the Bordah Zikir tradition which is still maintained by a small group of Labuhan Batu people. Bordah zikir has become part of the culture of the Malay Community in Labuhan Batu that used to maintaining social relations between them. This tradition is carried out in various events such as weddings, circumcisions, and also MTQ activities. With a traditional form that is considered classic, how can Bordah Zikir be able to continue to exist in the current era? What role does this art offer so that it can become one of the social relations activities for the Labuhan Batu community? The approach of this paper is sociological-historical which sees the current reality of the Bordah Zikir tradition through the historical pulls understood by the Labuhan Batu community. The results of the study show that Bordah zikir has a very high social function for the Labuhan Batu community. This function is related to the relationships that are built between communities towards an attitude of togetherness as well as contemplation of the soul to become a better person. This is because the understanding in Bordah's recitation itself contains the history of the Prophet Muhammad's journey to be able to reflect on the whole Labuhan Batu community in the form of rhythmic art.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the extent of teachers' perceptions of the standard indicators of financing for high school education at the National Education Standards (SNP). This study used descriptive qualitative method. The population was 10 respondents, divided into 5 Islamic education teacher respondents and 5 Non-Islamic Islamic education teacher respondents from several schools in Purwakarta Regency. The instrument used was to use a questionnaire about understanding the standard of financing, which amounted to 16 indicators, then given triangulation through direct interviews to find out the causes and solutions to problems related to the achievement of financing standards. The results of this study indicate that the achievement of indicators is at an average of 82% in the Non-Islamic Education group and 79% in the Islamic Education group. Several weaknesses were found regarding the standard indicators of financing, among others in the aspect of the realization of the cost of periodic maintenance and repairs and the aspect of reporting and delivering financial accountability. Based on the findings in the field, the researchers have recommendations for schools and related parties to pay more attention to the stages of education financing budgeting, especially during the planning, realization, and reporting stages and submission of financing reports.
