Abstract

This study aims to determine the relational thinking ability of climber students in solving mathematical problems. This type of research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Taking the subject with a purposive technique. The research subjects were students of class VIII of junior high school who had the adversity quotient intelligence of the climber type. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires, tests, interviews, documentation, and field notes. The analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that climber students only carried out relational thinking activities at the stage of implementing the plan. At this stage, climber students are able to connect the information provided with previous knowledge, namely utilizing knowledge about the LCM of a number to change the equation into an equivalent form in order to be able to perform the SPLDV solution method. In addition, climber students build relationships using mathematical properties, namely solving SPLDV using mixed methods (elimination and substitution) to find the value of a variable by performing several mathematical operations involving the use of inverse properties in multiplication and inverse properties in addition.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation abilities of SMP IT Permata Bunda Islamic Boarding School Bandar Lampung students in terms of their learning styles. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out by means of a learning style questionnaire, written tests, and interviews. The subjects to be observed were carried out through a purposive sampling technique so that 6 students in class IX were obtained, each of whom had a visual learning style, auditory learning style, and kinesthetic learning style which would then be analyzed using technical triangulation based on the results of representational ability tests and interviews to draw conclusions. of this study to answer the formulation of the problem. The data will be arranged sequentially using data analysis techniques carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions/verification. The analysis was developed based on indicators of representational ability by taking into account the learning styles of students. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that students with a dominant visual learning style with visual representation abilities, students with a dominant auditory learning style with verbal representation abilities, and students with a kinesthetic learning style are more dominant with their visual representation abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap: (1) Mengetahui ada tidaknya integrasi konsep aritmatika sosial. (2) Bagaimana konsep integrasi materi aritmatika sosial dengan Al- Qur’an. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian analisis isi (content analyze). Penelitian ini dibatasi pada ayat Al-Qur’an pada materi aritmatika sosial. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan analisis isi (content analyze), dokumentasi dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah berupa wawancara. Langkah-langkah dalam menganalisis data ialah reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat integrasi konsep aritmatika sosial dalam Al-Qur’an yang mencakup tentang kegiatan jual beli atau perdagangan. Diketahui ada sebelas ayat yang membahas mengenai jual beli. Dua ayat membahas mengenai sikap ketika transaksi jual beli, tiga ayat membahas mengenai takaran timbangan, satu ayat membahas hukum jual beli, satu ayat membahas mengenai permasalahan dalam simpan pinjam, satu ayat membahas nilai keseluruhan, tiga ayat membahas ketentuan jual beli. Dari ayat tersebut dapat kita integrasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dengan contoh-contoh soal yang berkaitan dengan aritmatika sosial.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan desain instrumen tes berorientasi HOTS yang valid, praktis, dan memiliki efek potensial terhadap kemampuan berpikir tinggi siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalan penelitian ini adalah design research tipe development study yang terdiri dari dua tahap yaitu tahap preliminary dan formative evaluation. Dari hasil komentar validator pada tahap expert riview dan uji one to one diketahuui bahwa instrumen tes berorientasi HOTS ini telah valid dari segi konstruk, konten, dan bahasa. Valid dari segi konten adalah instrumen yang dibuat telah sesuai dengan karakter soal HOTS, Capaian Pembelajaran (CP), dan Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran (ATP). Instrumen yang dibuat sesuai dengan level kemampuan siswa yang terefleksikan dengan CP dan dengan dimensi HOTS yang artinya valid dari segi konstruk. Sedangkan penggunaan EYD, komunikatif, dan artikulatif pada instrumen merupakan aspek yang telah terpenuhi secara validitas bahasa. Dari hasil angket respons siswa pada tahap small group diketahui bahwa soal mudah dimengerti, mudah digunakan, dan dapat diadministrasikan serta diinterpretasikan oleh siswa dengan baik dan memilliki tingkat kepraktisan sebesar 79% atau berkategori praktis. Sementara efek potensial yang muncul pada tahap field test berupa kemampuan menganalisis (C4) dan mengevaluasi (C5).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how to improve motivation and mathematical arithmetic ability from learning outcomes in statistic lesson through PBL with comic models for XII TKR C students of SMK Wongsorejo Gombong in 2022/2023. The research method used was classroom action research consisting of four components, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The results of the study concluded that the increase of motivation and mathematical arithmetic ability from learning outcomes through the application of PBL with comic had a positive effect. It seen by the increase from first cycle to second cycle. The student motivation in first cycle were 12,90% had weak motivation; 61,29% immediate motivation, and 25,81% had strong motivation increase to 7,32% weak motivation; 46,34% immediate motivation, and 46,34% strong motivation in second cycle. The mathematical arithmetic ability from learning outcomes in first cycle was 77,42% increase to 87,80% in second cycle.

Abstract

The structure of the mathematical connection is an illustration the students' steps in building mathematical connections. This study aims to analyze the structure of the mathematical connection of climber students in solving the problems of the Linear Equation System Three Variable. This research is a qualitative research. The subjects of this study were 2 students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Salaman. The technique of taking the subject is using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques used mathematical connection ability tests, field notes, and interview. The instruments used mathematical connection ability test, and interview guide. The results showed that the mathematical connection structure of climber students in solving LESTV problems fulfilled four components in building mathematical connections, namely starting with mathematical understanding where climber students were able to recognize mathematical ideas by understanding information from the questions. Both mathematical representations, by being able to represent in the form of a linear equation of three variables by connecting between mathematical ideas. The third is mathematical connections, where climber students can connect ideas from linear equations of three variables to get a solution. Fourth, there is mathematical reasoning, with climber students being able to relate and use concepts in LESTV material that are interconnected to produce a coherent whole.

Abstract

Communication and information technology has built modern civilization, where communication is no longer in a vacuum, nor in the context of homogeneity. Through research on the digital literacy index of teenagers at Islamic Junior High School (MTs) in Pabelan District, Semarang Regency and Kalasan District, Sleman Regency, the objectives to be achieved are: (1) Mapping the level of digital literacy of MTs students, (2) Mapping the ability of MTs students in using digital media (3) Assisting local governments in making decisions regarding literacy education format issues digital that suits the conditions in the school. In this research the author uses quantitative research methods with an explanatory research format. This survey method is carried out by distributing questionnaires. The results showed that the literacy level of MTs students in Pabelan and Kalasan District was 4.1, included in the medium category. A total of 2 of the 8 indicators used produced a high category index, namely an index of Cultural dan Social Understanding and E-Safety, while the other 6 were included in the medium category. Based on these results, it can be categorized that MTs students in Pabelan and Kalasan Districts already have knowledge about the digital world in the moderate category.

Abstract

Student learning styles can influence their learning outcomes. Sometimes, a student's learning style in class can pose an obstacle for other students, as it may hinder their ability to focus on receiving lessons. The aim of this research is to investigate the relationship between learning styles and mathematics learning outcomes. The method is quantitative research utilizing correlation techniques. Random sampling was conducted among class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Cikarang Selatan. The research instrument for measuring learning styles was a questionnaire, while mathematics learning outcomes were assessed using multiple-choice tests. Pre-requisites for analysis included normality testing (Lilliefors test) and simple linear regression test (ANOVA). The results indicated that both variables were normally distributed, and the regression test demonstrated that mathematics learning outcomes were influenced by linear learning styles. Based on Pearson's product-moment correlation test calculations, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between learning styles and mathematics learning outcomes for students at SMP Negeri 4 Cikarang Selatan.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika perlu dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan dari hal yang sering atau pernah dilakukan oleh siswa itu sendiri untuk membuat pembelajaran lebih menyenangkan dan mudah dimengerti. Salah satu kegiatan yang erat kaitannya dengan berbagai permainan adalah hompimpa. Hompimpa biasa dilakukan sebelum memulai permainan dengan tiga atau lebih pemain untuk mengundi pemain yang kalah. Hompimpa sebagai sistem pengundian dalam permainan menunjukkan bahwa permainan ini dapat dikaitkan dengan materi peluang. Proses belajar siswa untuk sampai pada pemahaman yang bermakna sangat erat keterkaitannya dengan dugaan dari alur pembelajaran yang dibuat oleh guru. Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) adalah alur belajar yang dibuat oleh guru berdasarkan hipotesis akan kemungkinan-kemungkinan yang dapat terjadi selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Pengenalan akan budaya dilakukan untuk mengajarkan siswa terhadap pemahaman akan nilai-nilai luhur budaya yang diharapkan juga memberikan dampak positif terhadap pendidikan karakter siswa. Artikel ini menyajikan hypothetical learning trajectory pada materi peluang teoritis dan peluang empiris dengan hompimpa alaium gambreng.

Abstract

The use of interactive digital learning media such as Wordwall offers an innovative approach to improving the quality of mathematics instruction at the junior high school level. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Wordwall in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding of mathematics at SMPN Cerdas Bangsa. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that Wordwall increases student motivation, active participation, and conceptual comprehension, particularly during the reinforcement phase. Teachers perceive the platform as flexible and adaptable to students' abilities, while students report a more engaging and interactive learning experience. However, its effectiveness diminishes when used before students have grasped the foundational concepts, and challenges such as limited internet access and teachers’ technological readiness remain. This study underscores the importance of targeted integration of digital media and the need for differentiated instruction to address students’ diverse learning needs. It contributes to the development of more contextual, adaptive, and meaningful mathematics learning strategies in the digital era.
