Abstract

This study aims to describe the misconceptions that occur to junior high school students in solving problems on algebraic fractions. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 6 Purworejo class VII A with 2 students selected using a purposive technique with the category of students selected being moderately capable. Data collection techniques used in the form of diagnostic tests, interviews, and field notes. The research instrument used is a matter of diagnostic tests with data validity checking done by triangulation. The stages of data analysis are data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the analysis on research and discussion can be concluded that students have misconceptions. Students experience misconceptions in the matter of algebraic arithmetic fractions. Misconceptions were also seen from students giving CRI scores to the answers that matched the students' level of confidence in answering the questions. According to the criteria of the CRI scale, it can be concluded that the results of students' answers are categorized as having misconceptions. These misconceptions are located when students answer the questions, resulting in: (1) translation misconceptions, (2) concept misconceptions, (3) strategy misconceptions, (4) systematic misconceptions, (5) sign misconceptions and (6) arithmetic misconceptions

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) to find out whether the motivation of students who use the Blended Learning model is better than the motivation of students who use conventional learning models and (2) To determine whether students' problem-solving abilities of those who use the Blended Learning model are better than the problem-solving abilities of students who use the conventional learning model. This research method uses quantitative research with the type of experimental research. The population in this study was all class IX SMP Negeri 33 Purworejo school year 2021/2022 totaling 214 students. The sampling technique used random cluster sampling so that class IX D was chosen as the experimental class and class IX F as the control class. The results of the hypothesis test of the difference in the mean of the two groups were obtained, and H0 was accepted. This means that the motivation and problem-solving ability in the experimental class is the same as the motivation and problem-solving ability in the control class. Therefore, it can be concluded that (1) the learning motivation of students who use the Blended Learning learning model is not better than the learning motivation of students who use the conventional learning model (2) the problem-solving ability of students who use the Blended Learning learning model is not better than the motivation and ability of students who use the Blended Learning model student problem solving using conventional learning models.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar berupa e-modul matematika realistik untuk menstimulasi berpikir kreatif pada siswa SMP. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengetahui e-modul matematika berbasis realistik dilihat dari tiga kriteria yaitu valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 19 Purworejo. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi, angket respon siswa, dan soal tes. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian, kemudian dianalisis dari kelayakan e-modul, dengan skor rata-rata 3,57 memenuhi kriteria valid. Hasil uji kepraktisan mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 3,28 dengan persentase 82% memenuhi kriteria sangat praktis. Sedangkan pada uji efektivitas diperoleh persentase 87% dengan kriteria sangat efektif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-modul berbasis matematika realistik yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar yang dapat menstimulasi berpikir kreatif pada siswa SMP.

Abstract

Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) is an assessment of the fundamental competencies students need to develop their capacity and participate positively. The problems in the national examination (UN) until now have not subsided. Finally, the government replaced the UN with AKM. AKM measures the literacy and numeracy of students whose targets are no longer class VI, IX, or class XII but classes V, VIII, and XI at each level, with various levels. One aspect of AKM is students' numeracy skills. This qualitative research uses a case study method conducted in junior high schools. Researchers will provide numeracy tests to students in the form of geometry questions equivalent to PISA and describe the results of the numeracy abilities of class IX students in the implementation of AKM. The reference to numeracy ability shows that students' numeracy is relatively low, namely at 0-33. The results obtained some aspects or indicators are not achieved, such as students finding it difficult to use various numbers and symbols when solving problems and not achieving the results of analyzing problem information from pictures, tables, diagrams, charts and so on. Students also have difficulty interpreting the analysis results and deciding the consequences of decisions. More practice is needed so that all aspects or indicators of numeracy can be achieved and students' numeracy skills can be better.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the mathematics learning outcomes of students subjected to the flipped classroom are better than those of students subjected to conventional learning models. The type of research used is quasi-experimental research. The sample of this research is 34 students of class X TKRO 1 and 33 students of class X AKL 3 SMKN 1 Sapuran. The sampling technique used was random sampling. The data collection technique used is the documentation method and the test method. The analytical technique used is data analysis with a balance test and data analysis after treatment with a t-test hypothesis. The results of the calculation of the hypothesis test in the experimental class and control class are tcount = 2,976 and the value of ttable = 1,669 with DK = so that H0 rejected. Based on the test decision stating H0 was rejected, then this study concludes that the learning outcomes subjected to the flipped classroom are better than the learning outcomes subjected to the conventional learning model.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan dan mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan, serta keefektifan media pembelajaran flipbook berbasis masalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi aturan sinus dan cosinus pada siswa sekolah menengah atas. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan metode ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) untuk menghasilkan sebuah produk. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 28 siswa kelas X IPS 2 SMA N 1 Sapuran tahun pelajaran 2021/2022.Hasil analisis data kevalidan oleh ahli media diperoleh skor 3,5 dinyatakan sangat valid dan diperoleh skor 3,18 yang dinyatakan valid oleh ahli materi. Dari analisis data kepraktisan berdasarkan angket respon siswa diperoleh skor 3,21 yang dikategorikan praktis. Untuk hasil keefektifan dengan uji N-Gain diperoleh 0,6983 dengan kategori sedang. Hasil belajar matematika setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran flipbook berbasis masalah mengalami peningkatan. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media flipbook berbasis masalah masuk dalam kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah pola bilangan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII sebanyak 2 siswa yang telah dipilih secara purposive yaitu siswa dengan kemampuan matematika tinggi. Instrumen yang peneliti gunakan yaitu tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pedoman wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa sekolah menengah pertama memenuhi semua indikator dari kemampuan berpikir kritis. Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, penyelesaian masalah, pola bilangan

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the critical thinking skills of junior high school students in solving mathematical problems in terms of their learning styles, especially the two-variable linear system material. This type of research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques used critical thinking tests, interviews, and field notes. The subjects of this study were 2 class VIII students who were selected purposively, namely students with visual and auditory learning styles. The research instrument that became the main instrument was the researcher himself who was supported by a critical thinking test instrument for two-variable linear system material. The results of this study indicate that (1) The ability to think critically in solving mathematics problems in visual learning style students has met all the FRISCO critical thinking indicators (focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity, overview) in doing tests and interviews, because of the characteristics of this type. visual learning styles are better able to interpret mathematical objects visually before solving mathematical problems. (2) The ability to think critically in solving mathematical problems in auditory learning style students using the FRISCO critical thinking indicators (focus, reason, inference, situation, clarity, overview) two indicators are not met in the reason and overview indicators. Students with auditory learning styles still have the potential to develop their critical thinking skills, they just need a different treatment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk etnomatematika pada makanan tradisional sekaligus meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada siswa. Disisi lain penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan modul dari segi kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model Borg and Gall. Hasil penelitian ini berupa modul matematika berbasis etnomatematika makanan tradisional dengan dua tahapan uji yang memenuhi kriteria valid dengan rata-rata 3,04 dan kriteria praktis dengan rata-rata skor 3,5. Begitu juga dengan kriteria kefektifan, modul ini, telah mencapai tujuan pembelajaran setelah dianalisis dengan statistis uji t berpasangan yang hasilnya mengalami kenaikan secara signifikan. Dari data yang telah dianalisis, modul yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria kelayakan untuk digunakan.

Abstract

Numerous researchers have done mathematical analyses of the Qur'an. This research seeks to determine the connection (interrelationship) between algebraic material and the Qur'an and integrate the mathematical learning process into instructional systems, particularly in the connectivity of algebraic information in the Qur'an. This research utilizes qualitative approaches, including content analysis, documentation, and interviews for data collection. Given the wide scope of mathematics, research is limited to verses of the Qur'an, which contain operations of algebraic forms. The tools utilized are interview guides and recording aids. Data analysis comprises the phases of data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The study results indicate an interconnection of algebraic material in the Qur'an, which includes algebraic operations material, namely addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of algebraic forms. The interconnectivity of algebraic material in the Qur'an can be found in twelve verses. As is well known, there are five paragraphs devoted to the operation of addition of algebraic forms, two to the operation of subtraction of algebraic forms, one to the operation of multiplication of algebraic forms, and four to the operation of the division of algebraic forms. In addition, the earliest mathematics learning design is located in the core of learning grammar as a sort of integration of the Qur'anic content, which becomes the backdrop for learning mathematics, particularly algebraic information.
