Abstract

This study aims to describe how the mathematical understanding ability ofstudents slow learner in solving simple algebra problems and what are the factors that causestudents to have slow learner difficulty understanding and solving math problems in class V SD Negeri Randusanga wetan 01 Brebes. This research method is a qualitative research, the approach in this study uses a descriptive approach. The research subjects were slow learner grade 5 students at SD Negeri Randusanga Wetan 01 Brebes. Data collection techniques using documentation, tests and interviews. The results of the study stated that thestudents slow learner did not meet the indicators of mathematical understanding ability, the factors causing thestudents to have slow learner difficulty understanding the questions were internal factors and external factors. Internal factors, very low student discipline, low intelligence limitations of students,. External factors are the economic limitations of the subject's parents which make the subject lazy and have no motivation to learn. Then, the facilities at the school are lacking, so teachers in the learning process rarely use learning media or teaching aids.

Abstract

Budaya merupakan suatu kebiasaan yang mengandung unsur-unsur nilai penting dan fundamental yang diwariskan dari generasi ke generasi. Kebiasaan-kebiasaan yang dilakukan tidak lepas dari nilai matematika, sehingga memberikan hasil unik dan beragam. Hal ini terlihat dari bentuk dan hasil budaya yang ada khususnya di Indonesia seperti kesenian, bentuk bangunan, ukiran, perhiasan, dan sebagainya. Dalam budaya lokal, terkadang terdapat konsep matematika atau biasa disebut etnomatematika. Batik Kawung merupakan salah satu budaya lokal. Batik Kawung adalah motif batik yang bentuknya berupa bulatan mirip buah kawung (sejenis kelapa atau kadang juga dianggap sebagai aren atau kolang-kaling) yang ditata rapi secara geometris. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi konsep matematika atau unsur etnomatematika pada Batik Kawung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat konsep matematika atau unsur etnomatematika pada Batik Kawung yaitu konsep kekongruenan dan kesebangunan serta konsep transformasi geometri, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai alat peraga atau media dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Problem-solving in mathematical ability is the ability to solve a problem in stages, understand a problem, look for settlement strategies, carry out strategies and check the results of the strategies used. Problem-solving is very necessary in the current revolution era because it is very important. Some students have very low problem-solving skills in dealing with essay questions. In matters of describing students' thinking patterns, it is very influential when working on the description problems themselves or in the real world. These days, matters of description in everyday life are very important and very much needed. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research in which class X Mathematics of specialization at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta is the subject of this study. The object of this research includes the problem description problem skills, learning models during class, and learning resources used by students. The purpose of this research is to analyze the needs of MODUL to improve the problem description problem skills of students. The result of this research is that the ability to work on essay questions is still low. Learning resources and models used in learning that need to be developed. So that we need MODUL which aims to improve mathematical abilities in the problem description of the students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan level kemampuan berpikir matematis berdasarkan Shafer dan Foster dalam penyelesaian masalah materi pecahan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif yaitu dengan cara menafsikan data yang ada dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang level kemampuan berpikir matematis berdasarkan shafer dan foster dalam penyelesaian masalah materi pecahan. Subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 3 siswa SMP yang telah menempuh materi pecahan dan siswa pintar yang dapat menunjukkan level tertingginya sehingga diharapkan dapat mendeskripsikan hasil pekerjaannya. Teknik pemilihan subjek yang digunakan adalah teknik purposive. Pemilihan subjek dilakukan menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir matematis. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir matematis dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Pada penyelesaian soal level reproduksi siswa dapat menyelesaikan masalah sesuai langkah-langkah, mengetahui aturan dasar operasi pembagian bilangan dan dapat menerapkan materi aljabar untuk menyelesaikan soal pecahan (2) Pada penyelesaian soal level koneksi siswa dapat memahami informasi pada soal, menyusun penyelesaian tidak rutin, mengeterkaitkan masalah antara penyelesaian, dan dapat membuat rumus nilai pecahan yang terdapat pada soal (3) Pada penyelesaian soal level analisis siswa dapat mengubah masalah nyata menjadi bentuk matematika dan mengkomunikasikan hasil penyelesaiannya

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan self regulated learning dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VII C SMP Negeri 36 Purworejo melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Structured Dyadic Methods. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIC pada materi segiempat. Teknik pengambilan subjek ini menggunakan teknik observasi untuk mengetahui kemandirian belajar dan tes untuk mengetahui prestasi belajar siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket, tes, dan catatan lapangan. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket dan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data (data reduction), penyajian data (data display), dan penarikan kesimpulan (conclusion drawing). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemandirian belajar matematika siswa kelas VII C SMP Negeri 36 Purworejo melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Structured Dyadic Methods mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan rerata persentase hasil observasi self regulated (kemandirian) pada siklus I sebesar 62% dengan kategori cukup dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 81% dengan kategori baik. Sedangkan prestasi belajar matematika siswa kelas VII C SMP Negeri 36 Purworejo melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Structured Dyadic Methods juga mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini berdasarkan rerata nilai tes prestasi belajar pada siklus I sebesar 63% dengan kategori cukup dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II menjadi 81% dengan kategori tuntas KKM. Berdasarkan kriteria keberhasilan tindakan telah mencapai lebih dari 70% siswa yang memperoleh nilai lebih atau sama dengan nilai Kriterium Kelulusan Minimal yaitu 70 maka pembelajaran pada siklus II sudah berhasil

Abstract

Learning media using moodle-based e-learning is a dynamic web-based learning platform with an interactive online course management system and creates a personalized learning environment. Online learning activities carried out by teachers still use the same method when direct learning, especially in mathematics subjects that are classified as abstract. This study aims to analyze the needs of student learning tools during a pandemic like this time, which is being held for junior high school students. This research is a descriptive survey method. In this study, the data techniques used were non-test observation and interview techniques. The research data were analyzed descriptively. The instrument used in this study used interview sheets which were managed on some research samples and used literature studies, which were conducted on several junior high school students and mathematics teachers as samples. The results of this study indicate that the existence of online learning as it is today has resulted in a surge in internet users and is dominated by junior high school education. Teachers admit that they are not ready to carry out online learning, so most teachers teach only by providing materials and assignments to students. With this learning style, the concept of understanding students is still in doubt, so there is a need for learning media that can make a medium for students to learn online.

Abstract

Research and development include the development of Interactive Multimedia-Based Learning Media Using Macromedia Flash. This study aims to produce learning media that are tested valid. The data collection instrument in this study was a validation sheet. The data used to assess the validity of the learning media was obtained through a validation sheet with a Likert scale and a Guttman scale. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. Validation data from 2 lecturers and 1 teacher. The study's results obtained the results of the validation of learning media, equal to 87.17%, with a very valid category. The study's results that Interactive Multimedia-Based Learning Media Using Macromedia Flash on Social Arithmetic Materials for Class VII were very valid.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether or not there is a correlation between the results of the Mid-Semester Assessment and the results of the Final Semester Assessment in the mathematics subjects of class VIII students of State Junior High School 15 Purworejo in the 2021/2022 academic year. The research method used is a non-experimental quantitative research method. The research population was 160 students, with a research sample of 110 students. The normality test results showed that the data came from a normally distributed population. The homogeneity test results showed that the research sample had a homogeneous variance. The calculation of the product-moment correlation of 0.73 indicates a strong correlation between research variables. The results of hypothesis testing using t-test obtained tcount=11.03 and ttable=1.98 indicate that the correlation found is valid for the entire population. So the conclusion of this study shows a positive and significant correlation between the results of the Mid-Semester Assessment and the results of the Final Semester Assessment in mathematics subjects for students of VIII State Junior High School 15 Purworejo in the 2021/2022 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to determine that the mathematics learning achievement of students who use the SAVI learning model is better than that of students who use the LT learning model in class VIII students in MTs. This study used 2 classes, namely class VIII A and VIII C, which were obtained using simple random sampling. Methods of data collection using the method of documentation and tests. The normality test uses the Lilliefors method, the homogeneity test of variance uses the Bartlett method, the balance test uses the t-test, and the hypothesis test uses the t-test with a significant level of = 0.025. The average control class was 77,226, and the experimental class was 79,194. The results of hypothesis testing using the right-hand t-test obtained count = 0.492 while table = 2.299, DK ={ t|t > 2.299}, this indicates that count DK. The conclusion of this study is that H0 is accepted, meaning that the mathematics learning achievement of students using the Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual (SAVI) learning model is not better than the mathematics learning achievement of students using the Listening Team learning model in class VIII students in MTs. The formation of groups from the two cooperative learning models, namely Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual (SAVI) and Listening Teams, resulted in both models giving the same results when applied in the classroom. Therefore, both models can contribute to improving student achievement.

Abstract

Technological developments demand innovation in the implementation of education, one of which is the implementation of learning evaluation. Currently, learning evaluation can be done online through asynchronous learning. Asynchronous learning is student-centred because it can make students learn independently using the necessary online learning resources. For this reason, this study aims to describe the need for evaluating mathematics tests through asynchronous learning to improve student learning outcomes. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The population taken in this study were students of class X SMA in Yogyakarta, with a sample of class X IPA 3 of as many as 36 students taken by purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques used interviews, preliminary study questionnaires, and the value of the end-of-semester assessment result. The results showed that as many as 16,67% of students' mathematics learning was still below the KKM, the implementation of mathematics tests had not been carried out using moodle-based asynchronous learning, and as many as 80% of students were interested in evaluation activities, or tests were carried out online through moodle-based asynchronous learning. The research shows that evaluating students’ mathematics tests through asynchronous learning needs to be applied to improve student learning outcomes.
