Abstract

The rapid and massive spread of COVID-19 in the world, including Indonesia, has greatly affected various fields of life, including education. Therefore, in order for the learning process to continue during this pandemic, a strategy is needed to meet educational needs during the pandemic. The online learning process or online (on the network) uses an application that can support distance learning namely google classroom. This of course requires students to be active and critical independently in studying the topics studied in learning activities. The research was conducted at SMK Negeri 3 Kupang with a population of all students of class XI majoring in Computer and Network Engineering. Samples were taken as many as 60 students. From the results of the analysis, there is an effect of using google classroom on learning independence as shown in the results of the statistical test, the value of Fcount = 5.74 > Ftable = 2.76 and the value of Sig. 0.002 < 0.05 so that H0 is rejected. There is no significant effect of using google classroom on student mathematics learning outcomes, as shown in the results of the statistical test, the value of Fcount = 2.59 < Ftable = 2.76 and sig. 0.61 > 0.05 so that H0 is accepted. There is an effect of using google classroom on independent learning and student mathematics learning outcomes as shown by the results of MANOVA statistical analysis, it is known that the statistical value of the Pillai's Trace test is 0.618 and the value of Fcount = 8.341 > Ftable = 2.18 and the value of Sig. 0.000 < 0.05 so H0 is rejected. And there is an influence between learning independence on students' mathematics learning outcomes, as shown in the results of a simple linear regression statistical test, it is known that the value of ttable = 2.00172 > tcount = 22.138 so that H0 is rejected.

Abstract

Decision making is an activity that can be carried out by anyone in his position as what and for what. Decisions are very important when it comes to the life or interests of many people. This was also experienced by the Malacca Regency Manpower and Transmigration Office in determining the location of the Labor Intensive Program. The Infrastructure Labor Intensive Activity is a community empowerment activity aimed at: reducing the number of unemployed, underemployed and the poor; fostering a sense of community and community cooperation; increasing community accessibility to basic social service centers; and increase the quality and quantity of community development towards a better direction. So far, the determination of labor-intensive locations has not had a standard standard so that it often creates jealousy between villages and the emergence of a public perception that the location of labor-intensive programs is based on the subjective assessment of officials from the Manpower and Transmigration Office. This study aims to determine what criteria are used in determining the priority scale of labor-intensive program locations in Malacca Regency; What types of infrastructure development programs will be carried out in Malacca Regency; and Determining the priority scale for the location of labor-intensive infrastructure programs in Malacca District. This research consisted of 15 informants and was carried out for 1 month at the Manpower and Transmigration Office of Malacca Regency. The research found that there were several criteria in determining the priority scale for labor-intensive locations in Malacca Regency, including: Number of beneficiaries (unemployed, underemployed, full PMI, victims of layoffs, the poor, CMPI who failed to leave due to COVID-19, and PMI who returned home. because the country is placing a lockdown); potential for community economic improvement; and support for natural resources and labor resources). Types of infrastructure labor-intensive programs in Malacca District include: Clean Water Network Development; Environmental Road (Pavement Construction); Environmental Road Construction (Construction Rebates); Farming Business Road Development; Polindes Development; Irrigation Development; and Drainage Development.

Abstract

In this article, we argue that mastering a language or more than one language is something that can be successfully achieved by everyone in general, language students in particular, by implementing such strategies as: (1) learning harder; (2) problem-based learning; (3) having good imagination of your future; (4) regular and more intensive practices of English; (5) positive thinking; (6) keeping in touch regularly with great people; (7) writing, publishing, and speaking at academic meetings as often as possible; and, (8), last, but not least, being healthy by thinking well, having good food, having regular exercises, and trying not to smoke. By implementing, among other things, those strategies, language learners, we believe, can indeed be fluent in using the language(s) they are learning, including English as a foreign language (EFL) in the context of this article.

Abstract

Coordination is a basic function of management which explains the orderly unification of actions in the implementation of activities. In government organizations, coordination is needed to ensure that the implementation of government programs becomes more focused. One of the programs that requires coordination is the Management of Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) which is carried out in Malacca Regency. In this study, researchers will examine the Coordination between Regional Apparatuses in the Management of Retired Indonesian Migrant Workers in Malacca Regency with the aim of describing and Coordination between Regional Apparatuses in the Management of Retired Indonesian Migrant Workers in Malacca Regency. The theory used as the basis for researchers in this study is the theory of management functions according to Luther Gulick, known as POSDCORB and is an indicator in this research, namely: Planning, organizing, staffing, directing, controlling, reporting and budgeting. This research is qualitative. The informants selected purposively were 11 people. The research findings show that all informants know the purpose of the full PMI empowerment program but not all informants know what activities will be carried out in the full PMI empowerment program; technically there are 3 related areas in the program; coordinating the program is the field of training and placement of workers; there is no agreement in the meeting so far; the preparation of reports is only carried out by the field of training and placement of workers; not all related fields have budgeted special funds for retired PMI. The conclusion of this study is that so far the coordination between fields related to the empowerment of retired PMI has not been going well. Suggestions from researchers are that for a program to run well, continuous coordination is needed so that all parties involved can know what will be planned, carried out, and the extent of its implementation.

Abstract

In the Anakalang language, suprasegmental phonemics are found. Suprasegmental phonemics are found as in the word bada 'too', baďa 'animal', which is marked with a diacritic [']. aha 'wash' and baha 'wet', ali 'go home' and bali 'ball'. All pronunciations of the sound [ƀ] that are subjected to soft stress are phonetically marked with a small line above them. The pronunciation of the sound [ƀ] in the word aha 'wash is with a soft pressure, while the pronunciation of the sound [b] in the word baha is with a strong pressure. From the difference in pressure in the pronunciation, there is a difference in meaning. Likewise for the word bali. The sound [b] in the word bali is pronounced with a soft stress, while the [b] in the word bali 'bola' is pronounced with a strong stress which differentiates the meaning. The sound [b] is a voiced sound, but the sound [b] which is pronounced with soft pressure becomes a muted sound. Therefore, in this finding, apart from segmental phonemics, there are also suprasegmental phonemics. This finding shows that the Anakalang language is unique. It is called unique because suprasegmental phonemics are not found in Indonesian. Therefore, it is interesting to carry out further research with a broad dimension to obtain a complete and complete picture of the meaning of suprasegmental in this language.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work motivation and work discipline on the performance of State Vocational High School teachers in Noemuti District either partially or simultaneously. The subjects in this study were 51 teachers of State Vocational High Schools in Noemuti District, Timor Tengah Utara Regency. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis and classical assumption test. The method used is descriptive quantitative. Collecting data using primary and secondary data, as well as statistical tests including multiple linear regression equations, correlation coefficient tests, determination tests and hypothesis testing. The results showed that motivation (X1) and work discipline (X2) had a positive effect on teacher performance (Y) with multiple regression equations for the hypothesis that the effect of motivation and work discipline on teacher performance was a positive sign (+) indicating the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable was running. one-way, meaning that every increase in one variable level will be followed by an increase in another variable, so that the higher the motivation and work discipline, the higher the teacher's performance. The correlation coefficient value is 0.873. The correlation value is in the range between 0.800-0.999 which is in the Very Strong category. This value indicates that there is an influence of the variable Motivation (X1) and Work Discipline (X2) on Teacher Performance (Y). From the results of the calculation of the coefficient of determination (R Square/r2) of 0.762 or the percentage is 76.20%, while 23.80% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. Testing the hypothesis then obtained the value of Fcount > Ftable with a value of 76.760 > 3.19, and a significance of 0.001 <0.05, thus H0 is rejected and H3 is accepted. Then the motivation variable and the work discipline variable simultaneously or together have an effect on the performance of State Vocational High School teachers in Noemuti District, North Central Timor Regency. The results of this study support the proposed hypothesis, and it is concluded that work motivation has a positive effect on teacher performance, work discipline has a positive effect on work performance and motivation and work discipline together has a positive effect on the performance of State Vocational School teachers in Noemuti District.
