Abstract

Waste is an unwanted residual material after the end of a certain process. Where waste in processes that exist in nature, there is actually no concept of waste but only the products that are produced after and during the process in nature. There are various processes that can be applied to produce RDF, including through biodrying. Biodrying itself is one part of the Mechanical-Biological Treatment (MBT) technology which aims to reduce the water content in the waste by utilizing the heat generated by the activity of microorganisms in degrading organic matter so that there is an increase in calorific value. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyze the level of response of students from the University of Jember to waste processing into refuse derived fuel (rdf) with biodrying treatment. This research method uses a survey with 30 respondents each from class, 2019, 2020 and 2021. The variable of this research is the critical thinking ability of Jember University students towards waste management into refuse derived fuel (rdf) with biodrying treatment. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed to determine the level of critical thinking of students at the University of Jember towards waste processing into refuse derived fuel (rdf) with biodrying treatment. The results of this study show that the average score for the critical thinking ability of Physics Education students in the Class of 2019 is 35.90, the Class of 2020 is 36.27 and the Class of 2021 is 34.07. It can be interpreted that the average score of the results of the critical thinking ability of Physics Education students for the Class of 2019 <Class of 2020> from the Class of 2021, then there is a difference in the average value of critical thinking skills between the Class of 2019, Class of 2020 and Class of 2021. Abstract

Research has been carried out on the development of edugame-assisted physics learning media on android smartphones with the aim of determining the feasibility of the edugame-assisted learning media developed, increasing students' critical thinking skills, and the effectiveness of the media used in learning. The type of research used is development that refers to the ADDIE learning model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This research was conducted at MAN 3 Kebumen with 57 students as the test subject. The instruments used in the study were validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and critical thinking skills tests. Based on the research, data obtained from the validation results of edugame-assisted learning media from two expert validators got an overall score of 3.90 including the very valid category and suitable for use in learning. The improvement of students' critical thinking skills at the implementation stage in class X MIPA obtained an N-gain of 0.67 and was included in the medium improvement category. The effectiveness of the media used in learning is indicated by the student response questionnaire getting an overall percentage of 82.75% and is included in the very practical category. So that physics learning media assisted by edugame can be used as an alternative media in learning to help improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study is a qualitative study that aims to analyze the implementation of physics practicum in public high schools throughout Maros Regency in 2022. The sample in this study was a public high school in Maros Regency which had an A accreditation, and the number of informants was 20 which were divided into 10 public high schools around the world. Maros Regency. The instruments used in this study were interview guide sheets and physics laboratory observation sheets. The data were analyzed using three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of observations of physics laboratories at public high schools throughout Maros Regency, the availability of facilities and infrastructure for the implementation of physics practicum can be classified as complete but there are still some that are still incomplete according to applicable standards, based on the results of interviews with physics teachers at public high schools throughout Maros Regency, the implementation of the physics practicum did not go well, because it was constrained by various things so that the practicum was not carried out optimally and in accordance with the curriculum. Based on the results of observations and interviews, it can be concluded that the implementation of physics practicum in Public High Schools throughout Maros Regency is carried out optimally and some is not optimal due to various obstacles.

Abstract

A collimator simulator which is an accessory in radiology equipment, has been made. This simulator was created as a learning medium to complete students' understanding in studying x-rays as part of electromagnetic waves. The research is divided into two stages, namely the manufacture of simulators and implementation as teaching materials. The collimator simulator is equipped with blades that are used to limit the radiation field area. In this study, collimator lamps were used to see the area of the field. The simulator is equipped with a motor to open and close the radiation window. The results of the implementation to students stated that students agreed that the collimator simulator learning media helped students to better understand the material. Abstract

The research entitled "The Effect of the Flipped Classroom Learning Model on Students' Learning Outcomes in Learning Physics" aims to determine the effect of the Flipped Classroom learning model on students' learning outcomes in physics learning on straight motion material at SMA Negeri 1 Teupah Tengah. This research methodology uses a quantitative approach with a Quasi Experimental Design research type with a None Quivalent design whose population in this study is all students of class X-MIA, totaling 2 classes. The sample in this study was taken using a total sampling technique, namely the number of samples equal to the total population of 40 students. The data collection techniques used were test techniques, questionnaires, and teacher observation sheets. The data analysis technique used a two-party t-test with the normality test and homogeneity test first as a prerequisite for the analysis. The results obtained are based on data analysis that has been carried out using a two-party t-test, namely the test value of tcount ≥ ttable that is 10,92 ≥ 1,68, so Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant effect of using the Flipped Classroom learning model on student learning outcomes in physics learning.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum prioritizes the involvement of students who dominate the class during the learning process and the teacher only as a facilitator. In fact, during the process of learning activities students still tend to be passive and lack of enthusiasm for students in participating in physics learning. In order to reduce the problems, efforts are needed that are able to create positive interactions between students and teachers so that they can increase student activity in learning. Efforts are made by using a student discussion sheets based on question web. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using student discussion sheets based on question web on student learning outcomes in learning physics at SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh. This type of research is an experimental research with a Quasi Experiment design. The research sample was determined by purposive sampling technique as many as 24 students in the experimental class and as many as 24 students in the control class. The data collection technique used is a test technique. The data analysis technique used statistical t test with a significant level of 5% (α = 0.05). The results of data analysis obtained ttable = 1.679 and tcount = 2.768. Therefore, tcount > ttable or 2,768 > 1,679, so that tcount is in the acceptance of Ha and consequently rejects H0. Based on the results of data analysis, it is stated that the research hypothesis is accepted so that it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using student discussion sheets based on question web on student learning outcomes in learning physics at SMA Negeri 5 Banda Aceh.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of using the problem based learning (PBL) model on students' creative thinking skills on momentum and impulse material. This research was conducted at MAS Darul Ihsan Aceh Besar, on 6 and 8 August 2022. This study used a quantitative approach with an experimental method in the form of Pre Experimental Design in the form of one group pretest posttest design. The population included in this study were students of class X IPA MAS Darul Ihsan Aceh Besar and then taken as a sample with purposive sampling technique, so the sample of this study was class X IPA G as many as 25 students. The instrument used in this study is a test instrument in the form of a description (essay) and non-test in the form of a questionnaire and the instrument used in this study has been tested for validity by experts. Data collection in this study was analyzed using N-Gain for questions and questionnaires were analyzed using the percentage formula. For the N-Gain value, the results were obtained in 3 categories consisting of 13 students in the high category, 9 students in the medium category and 3 students in the low category. And the results of the overall student response to the PBL model are also very good, because students get something new which they have never gotten before.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of convenience, usefulness, and service quality on the desire of FKIP UNIPA students to use LMS, and to determine the effect of the desire to use LMS on the learning effectiveness of FKIP UNIPA students. The research method used is the method of causality (cause and effect) in which the questionnaire is the research instrument. The sampling technique is using purposive sampling with a sample of 140 students. This study uses data analysis techniques, namely using t test using a linear regression model. The results of the analysis there are 2 models which can be seen in model I the significance value of the variable (X1) is 0.257, it can be said that this variable has no effect on (Z) because it is greater than 0.05, the variable (X2) is less than 0.001 it can be said that the variable this has an effect on (Z) because it is smaller than 0.05, and the variable (X3) is worth less than 0.001 it can be said that this variable has an influence on (Z) because it is smaller than 0.05, In model II it can be seen the significance value on the variable (Z) is less than 0.001 it can be said that this variable has an influence on (Y) because it is smaller than 0.05. This shows that in model I, in terms of usability and service quality, it can affect the desire to use LMS, while in terms of convenience it has no effect on the use of LMS, and for model II, it can be said that the desire to use LMS significantly affects learning effectiveness.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, DNA amplification technique – the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method became the gold standard for virus diagnosis and measuring the amount of viral target nucleic acid in a clinical sample and delivering quantitative results. This PCR method is implemented as Thermal Cycler or PCR machine. One of the main components in the Thermal Cycler is the heater. Three heaters, such as: Peltier Device 12715, Ceramic Heater PTC 12 VDC, and Customized Heater 12 VDC were tested for their performance by being connected to 3-well aluminium block. Two pieces of PTC Ceramic Heaters 12 VDC with a total power of 120 W showed the best performance compared to the other 2 heaters and were able to provide a heating ramp rate of 0,13 /second.

Abstract

Medical imaging is one method that is widely used to provide information about the physical parts of the body for diagnosis and therapy. This research is an initial study to find appropriate technology to record medical imaging results in the form of photos and videos so that they are ready to be distributed to support the telemedicine process. This research was conducted by studying literature on the equipment that might be used for the screen capture process, followed by making a prototype of the tool to be used as FGD material. During the FGD process, discussions were held with radiology specialists and gynecologists, nurses and technicians to find out the impact of this tool. The results show that it is possible to distribute medical images using screen capture techniques. This research is the first step for the development of medical image distribution.
