Abstract

Learning instrument is an important things in the learning process. Mechatronics systems that have complex circuits and controllers are not easily understood by Level 1 and 2 Students. This research applies the R&D method of Sugiyono to produce sorting machines that are easy to use and learn. The Pixy2 CMUcam5 camera is used for color detection. The controller circuit are used is Karnaugh Map circuit using Digital IC (NOT-AND-OR) and Arduino Uno. The color combinations processed in Karnaugh Map controller circuit are sorting 1 color (Red-R/ Green-G/ Blue-B), 2 colors (R&G/ R&B/ G&B), and 3 colors (R&G&B). Results of this sorting machine are can be operated easily, reprogrammed for both object color detection and DC motor & servo motor control, and rebuilt for the Karnaugh Map series. Validation of this study resulted in improvements to the initial turntable design which was improved with a timing belt mechanism to stabilize the turntable rotation. Lighting of indoor/outdoor does not affect the system because the Pixy2 has an internal LED so that the color is detected properly. The results of sorting with the final turntable design have good performance with an average success of 97.96% and a standard error of 0.58.

Abstract

Coconut meat is one type of raw material that is most often used in the small food catering industry, where coconut processing is done by grating it. The process of grating coconut is sufficient to be done manually with a simple grater board if there are only a few, to produce a good grater, the speed of a manual grater requires approximately 3000 grating movements every hour. A coconut grater is a tool product for household needs that functions as a tool to crush coconuts into small granules, with the aim of obtaining the coconut milk contained in the coconut flesh. This study aims to design an appropriate technology in the form of a more ergonomic mid-scale modified coconut grater. From the test results obtained, the higher the rotational speed of the cylinder or the cutting speed of the grating knife, the higher the grating capacity. This is because the faster the cutting speed of the grating knife, the faster the cycle or frequency of grating.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of the Physics Brain application as an android-based learning media to improve critical thinking and scientific literacy skill in the developed physics lesson. The Physics Brain application contains material, sample questions, and quizzes that are packaged as attractive as possible. The research method used was the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Research on the development of the ADDIE model was carried out only in Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation. This study uses a Likert scale analysis technique. The results of the research showed that the practitioner validator and respondent stated that the learning media design developed obtained an overall percentage value of 85% and was included in the very feasible category so that the Physics Brain application could be used in learning.

Abstract

The study intends to investigate the relationship between wavelength and frequency to calculate the speed of propagating waves on the water's surface. The researchers used a ripple tank to collect data by recording the pendulum's movement as well as the image of the ripples on the water's surface. The data is then analyzed with the Tracker application. The wavelength is determined by analyzing the recorded ripple shadows with the Tracker application. The Tracker application is used to analyze the recorded pendulum movement to obtain data on the period of vibration and calculate the frequency of the vibrations. The average surface wave velocity at a pendulum length of 10 cm is 3.38 10-2 m/s. In addition, for a 30 cm pendulum length, an average surface wave speed of 3.26 10-2 m/s is obtained.

Abstract

Metacognitive is the ability that a student has how measures or control his mindset, knowledge about his knowledge, and skills to analyze the product and learning outcomes. If students have good metacognitive, it will be more effective to select and find important information to solve problems than students who don’t have metacognitive. Swartz and Perkins divide the metacognitive level into 4 parts, namely tacit use, aware use, strategic use, and reflective use. This study aims to describe the metacognitive levels of students who have high, medium and low abilities in solving problems in the Law of Thermodynamics material. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Tambang with 23 students from class XI MIPA 2 as research subjects. This research was included in a descriptive study. The written test is a data collection method used in this study. The results of the test will be used to analyze students' metacognitive abilities. The results of this study are students who have learning outcomes in high groups are at the level of metacognitive Reflective Use. Students who have learning outcomes in groups are at the Strategic Use metacognitive level. Students who have low group learning outcomes are at the Tacid Use metacognitive level.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the distribution of salinity in the waters of Bengkulu Province during the strong positive IOD events that occurred in 2019. The research area is the Bengkulu Province region which is in position a using in-depth zonal current data, in-depth temperature data and salinity data. To see the distribution map, this data is then processed using GrADS (The Grid Analysis and Display System) software. The analysis used in this study is the Hӧvmuller diagram analysis. Based on the results of the study during a positive IOD it was seen that there was a movement of deep zonal currents. These zonal currents carry low-temperature water masses from the deep layers to the surface layers. Prior to the occurrence of a positive IOD, the salinity value in Bengkulu Province waters varied between . When a positive IOD occurs, the salinity value in Bengkulu Province waters rises to and is almost uniform.

Abstract

Abstract The research was conducted to obtain products in the form of e-modules with the E-PUB format which were made using the sigil application on quantum phenomena material for class XII SMA. E-module with sigil application supports text, images, audio and video. This e-module learns about black body radiation, photoelectric effect, Compton effect and x-ray. The research method adopted the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model is divided into five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. This research was conducted from the analysis, design to development stages. The data source was obtained from the scores of the questionnaire assessment results in the form of a checklist filled in by 3 expert validators. There are 4 aspects of the assessment carried out by the validator, namely aspects of content feasibility, linguistic aspects, presentation aspects and graphical aspects. The data obtained shows that the content feasibility aspect gets a score of 3.55 getting a very high category, the linguistic aspect has a score of 3.49 getting a high category, the presentation aspect has a score of 3.66 getting a very high category, and the graphical aspect has a score of 3.33 getting high category. So that the total average score of all aspects is 3.51 with a very high category. The conclusion from this study is that the e-module using the sigil application on quantum phenomena material for class XII SMA is valid and feasible to carry out for further research, namely the field trial stage, namely the implementation stage.
