Abstract

This study aims to develop an Android Application-Based Interactive E-Module to Increase Interest and Learning Outcomes of Physics Students of Class XI SMA Negeri 4 Musi Rawas which is valid, practical and effective. This type of research is research and development (R & D) with the development model used, namely ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The research sample or research subjects were students of class XI SMA Negeri 4 Musi Rawas students who were taken by simple random sampling technique. Data was collected by using questionnaires and tests. The validation carried out got results in a very good category, with a total score of 176. Student responses to the android application-based e-module were with a score of 88.23 which obtained a score of strongly agree. In addition, from the results of the tests carried out, an average value of 79,73 was obtained with tcount = 2,448 and ttable = 2.060 because tcount ttable then Ha was accepted and the average percentage of student activity during the practicum was 83.38% included in the very high category. So it can be said that the interactive e-module based on the android application that was developed was valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a physics based discovery learning (DL) module on the subject of balance and dynamics of rotation which is valid and practical. The problems in this research are 1) how to develop a physics module based on discovery learning (DL) on the subject of balance and rotation dynamics of student in class XI of SMA Negeri 2 reference Muara Beliti. 2) how are the characteristics of the physics module based on discovery learning (DL) to fulfill the goals of validity and practicality on the subject of balance and rotation dynamics of student in class XI SMA Negeri 2 reference muara beliti. The subject in this study were class XI MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 2 reference muara beliti which consisted of 9 students who were taken by purposive sampling technique. The develop of this research uses a four-D model consisting of define, design, develop and dessimination. The data was collected by using a student response questionnaire technique. And validation consists of 3 expert validations, material validation with an assessment of 37 in the good category, language validation with an assessment of 18 in the good category, and media validation with an assessment of 27 in the good category. Validation carried out to get results with an assessment of 82 in the good category. Students responses to the physics module based on discovery learning with an assessment of 33 in the very good category. So it can be said that the physics module based on discovery learning thet has been developed is valid and pratical

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems that the researchers obtained, namely the low learning outcomes of students' physics due to the lack of active involvement and independence of students in learning. The problem in this study is whether there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning model on physics learning for high school students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on physics learning for high school students. This type of research is a real experimental research, the research design is in the form of control-group pretest-posttest. The population of this study was all students of class X SMA Negeri Purwodadi, Musi Rawas Regency for the 2018/2019 academic year, totaling three classes. The sample is class X.1 totaling 42 students and class X.3 students totaling 36 students. The data collection technique used is test. The data obtained were analyzed using t-test. Based on the results of the t-test analysis for the final test at the significance level = 0.05, it was obtained tcount > ttable (tcount = 2.65 > ttable = 1.67), so it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning model on Physics learning for high school students.

Abstract

Utilization of Technology and Information must be optimized properly in learning, one of which is used to develop teaching materials. The aim of the research is to develop an inquiry-based physics-based E-module on elasticity and Hooke's law. The method used is Research and Development (R&D). The development procedure uses a 4D model consisting of Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The instrument used is a validation sheet and product practicality in the form of a questionnaire. The location for testing this E-module product is at SMK Nurul Huda Sukaraja with a sample of 20 students from class XI Multimedia. The results of the feasibility test from experts (media and materials) are very valid with a percentage gain of 83.7%. The results of the small-scale e-module practicality test results obtained a percentage of 95.69%, the large-scale e-module practicality test results obtained a percentage of 95.38% with very practical criteria. Thus the physics practicum e-module developed is feasible and practical to be used as teaching material for high school/vocational high school physics practicum learning.

Abstract

The ability to think creatively is very important for students in the learning process, especially physics. Then a study was conducted that aimed to identify the level of creative thinking ability of Class VIII SMP Mambaul Hisan Ngadiluwih Kediri in solving the problem of substance pressure. Aspects of creative thinking skills tested include fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Collecting data through written tests and interviews, where the data obtained in the form of quantitative data and then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the creative thinking skills of high-ability students were at level 3, namely being creative and able to fulfill the three aspects tested. Students of moderate ability are at level 2 which is creative enough to be able to fulfill the two aspects tested. Low ability students are at level 1 and level 0, level 1 students are less creative only meet one aspect and level 0 students have not fulfilled one aspect of creative thinking tested.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the characteristics of a test instrument based on scientific literacy of static fluid material for students of class XI SMA. (2) Describe the feasibility of a static fluid science literacy-based test instrument for students of class XI SMA. (3) Describe the results of teacher and student responses to tests based on static fluid science literacy for students in class XI SMA. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The research subjects were students of class XI SMA Negeri 3 Merauke. Data collection techniques used include tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The test instrument developed is in the form of a discourse description test that includes four categories of scientific literacy. The results of the characteristics of the scientific literacy-based test instrument are, there are four question indicators with the number of scientific literacy test questions developed as many as 20 essay questions with 4 main categories of scientific literacy, namely: Science knowledge, Investigation of the nature of science, Science as a way of thinking, Science Interaction, Technology , and Society. The questions have a scientific literacy category and are related to everyday life. Items have different levels of difficulty and scoring. The scientific literacy-based test instrument serves to measure the level of students' understanding. The feasibility of the developed test instrument was declared valid. The reliability of the scientific literacy-based test instrument developed in the reliable category.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a simple practicum learning medium for shadow formation on a decent concave mirror so that it can be used as an interactive learning medium to help students understand the material regarding Optics geometry. This research uses addie methods, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The product of this study is in the form of a simple practicum kit for shadow formation on concave mirrors that have been assessed and declared feasible based on the results of questionnaire analysis that has been filled by physics jurdik respondents. The feasibility of this simple practicum kit is seen from the average score with the ideal standard standard calculation (SBi). The results showed that the simple practicum kit of shadow formation on concave mirrors had an average value of all aspects of 3.4 with a very decent category. It can be concluded that the simple practicum kit of shadow formation on concave mirrors is very suitable for use as one of the learning media in geometric optical materials.

Abstract

The lamp is a part that has an important function on the vehicle. The function of this section is to illuminate the road, besides that the use of lights must also provide comfort for the driver, meaning that it does not give a glare effect when used. This glare effect is caused because light has a diffuse nature. Therefore, the use of a polarizing filter can convert the light into polarized light. The purpose of this research is to design an anti-glare product using a polarizing filter. The design will be tested for feasibility through a questionnaire containing polarizer explanation materials, product design drawings, and product assessment statements. The method used in this study is a 4D model using two stages of development, namely define and design. The results of the study in terms of the suitability of the type of lamp used obtained very decent results, the percentage of 84.4%, while in terms of the feasibility of the polarized filter on the lamp obtained very decent results with a percentage of 90.6%. To find out more about the feasibility of the designs made, further research is needed in the form of making products to be tested for feasibility.

Abstract

E-module is part of teaching materials that can be applied by students in the learning process. This study aims to 1) look at the teaching materials used by students; 2) knowing the obstacles faced by students in the learning process to understand the physics material; 3) analyze the needs of students for Project Based Learning (PjBL) based E-modules on sound wave material for class XI SMA. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative in the form of interviews and questionnaires. The data collection technique is to distribute needs questionnaires to class XI students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Palangka Raya online in the form of a google form platform via WhatsApp. The results of the research conducted showed that 1) the teaching materials used by students were 14.3% books, 23.8% modules, 28.6% LKS, 14.3% PPT, 28.6% PDF, and 9.5% tutorial video; 2) obstacles faced by students in understanding physics material, namely the lack of understanding of material concepts so that students have difficulty understanding physics formulas and applying them in everyday life; 3) students need teaching materials such as PjBL-based E-modules according to the data obtained, as many as 81% of students agree on the development of PjBL-based E-modules in making it easier for students to understand physics material and apply it in everyday life, especially on sound wave material.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the differences in self-efficacy and student learning outcomes between Edmodo and Line-assisted physics learning. This study applied a quasi-experimental with samples taken by purposive sampling. The sample is 59 students from two classes, one was assisted by Edmodo learning management system and the other was by Line instant messaging app. Self-efficacy data were taken using a scale consisting of 20 items, learning outcomes data were collected using test of 20 multiple choice questions. The data analysis technique was conducted using independent sample t-test. The test results for self-efficacy obtained the value of sig. (2 tailed) of 0.009 which means that there is a significant difference in self-efficacy between the Edmodo class and the Line class. However, in the aspect of higher-order cognitive abilities and inquiry skills, there were no significant differences between the two classes. For learning outcomes data, it is obtained the value of sig. (2 tailed) overall is 0.000. That is, there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two classes. However, if viewed per level, the difference is only seen at the low cognitive level, while at the high cognitive level, there is no significant difference in the two classes. These results indicate that learning physics assisted by MIM Line has the potential to improve learning outcomes and self-efficacy. Furthermore, learning physics assisted with MIM Line is seemed better than assisted by LMS Edmodo.
