Abstract

Research of hamuli of Apis have done at altitude 0 to 1400 m, in West Sumatra from December 2009-July 2010. Bees have collected from fruits, coffee crop and side of forest which are distances about 200 metre for each altitude. They were identified in Laboratory of Animal Taxonomy, Departement of Biology, Faculty of Matematics and Sciences, Andalas University Padang. We found four Apis species from three subgenus. Subgenus Micrapis consisted of one species  that is A. andreniformis Smith. Subgenus Sigmatapis consisted of two specieses, A. cerana Enderlein and A. koschevnikovi Enderlein. SubgenusMegapis consisted of one species that is  A. dorsata Fabr. Number of hamuli of worker bee have been variated, depent on bee types and habitat. Number of hamuli of A. cerana between 13-22 (average 17.7), A. dorsata between 22-30 (average 26.53) and A. andreniformis between  8-12 (average  9.84).Key words: Apis, hamuli of worker, altitude difference

Abstract

Evaluation of slaughter chicken technique that observated from halal food and food safety in market in five subdictricts of Kabupaten Tanah Datar was studied. The experiment was used t-test to compare  halal slaugtering and bacteria contamination. The results showed that the place expedience was not significantly different between slaughtering place in market. The halal slaugtering practice was not significantly different for those ten places of slaughtering. TPC contamination for all slaughtering place was underneath from standard BMCM of SNI (?1 x 106cfu/g). The Coliform contamination for all slaughtering place was over than 1x102cfu/g, except for Sungai Tarab subdictricts.This evaluation of slaughtering place in markets showed that all slaughtering place did not yet implemented the good slaughtering practice and good sanitation and hygiene practice totally.Key words: slaugtering in market, halal slaughtering, TPC, Coliform

Abstract

Multimedia computers today have become a necessity, either by businesses or other community groups. Information is not enough just through text and graphics alone, but the information includes text, graphics, animated images, video and audio. Multimedia computer applications that are widely used today is e-commerce, e-commerce where the buying or selling activity conducted electronically on the Internet. E-commerce can also be more specific means of advertising, sales, delivery and service to take advantage of a web show 24 hours a day for all customers. E-commerce is a fraction of the facilities provided in the wilds Internet (cyber space). However, its existence is vital to boost the business of a company that wants to go-International. E-commerce is a combination of technology, apllications, proceses and strategic bussinees. Object of this study discusses the success factors (opportunities) and failures (challenges) in e-commerce menerepkan especially in Indonesia and this study also discusses the application of e-commerce as a bridge to cyber trade transactions between the consumer and the merchant bank, a payment server that will authorize a credit card or debit card online. Data taken from the successes and failures of previous studies beberpa survey were analyzed and presented in this study. Based on the results of this study found that the role of government to impose regulations to create a market trend and pioneering e-commerce, especially in the improvement of the trading system. To boost interest in e-commerce is not independent of consciousness, beliefs, customs and culture of a society of Indonesia. Cultures in Indonesia who still believe in the traditional trades of the e-commerce. However, e-commerce will still be needed in the face of the global market. Abstract

Research has been conducted about change power and efficiency on turbine. Manufacture of turbine singer aims to determine the magnitude of the reviews on power output and efficiency due to the rotation of the turbine runner. Turbine runner done with variation 90 rpm, 70 rpm, 50 rpm, 30 rpm and 10 rpm. Of the various rounds of runner that shows the maximum power change occurred on lap 50 rpm, 70 rpm and 90 rpm. Maximum power lead to speed with discharge runners 70 rpm flow 0.0078 m3 / s at 4,572 watts. Power generated minumum on debit 0.0078 m3 / s occurred on speed runner 90 rpm of 3,674 watts. Maximum turbine efficiency occurs debit on flow 0.0078 m3/s and 70 rpm with a value of 28.342%, and then declined in round 50 rpm amounted to 24.477% and the lowest in round 90 rpm amounted to 23.189%. From the calculation of the efficiency obtained maximum value is obtained at a speed of 70 rpm with a flow runner debit 0.0078 m3 / s.Key words: power, efficiency, kinetic turbines

Abstract

The development in textile industry results in the increase of the use of non-organic materials in human life, such as the use of dyes that cannot be decomposed naturally, such as the use of artificial dyes in textile industry and other similar fields. This implies that if those artificial dye are not carefully managed, they will have a definite impact on the environment, such as water pollution where those substances contaminate clean water and therefore will be very dangerous for human daily needs of water for drinking, bathing and other needs. This in turn will cause various diseases in living things and pollute nature as well. The purpose of this study is to figure out the effect of methyl orange degradation by the addition of TiO2 photocatalyst. In this study, 10 ppm orange methyl solution were used, where 5 ml of orange methyl were dissolved in 5 ml of water then added with TiO2 and then irradiated with UV for 180 minutes. By calculating the degradation of methyl orange every 10 minutes, which was measured using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The finding shows that the longer the irradiation takes place, the more desirable degradation of methyl orange is desired. The results obtained from 180 minutes are absorbance values that are worth 0.8 down to 0.3.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is a serious health problem that should be concerned. According statistic of The World Health Organization (WHO) show there are 1,7 million deaths due to tuberculosis. Indonesia inclue one of 3 highest incidence of tuberculosis cases in the world. This study aimed to determine the number of leucocytes and erithrocyte sediment rate (ESR) with pulmonary tuberculosis before and after administration of the anti-tuberculosis drugs (OAT). This study used description crosssectional research design. Observations were carried out in patients with tuberculosis who received therapy for 6 months OAT agains leucocytes and ESR before and after treatment. Subjects were new case of pulmonary tuberculosis with acid fast bacilli (BTA) positive and BTA negative Rontgen positive in Dharmasraya district. Materials such examination whole blood samples with EDTA anticoagulant. The result subject are 30 people. Examination of leucocytes and ESR performed before and after administration of the OAT. Result of data analysis showed that changesin the number of leucocytes significance value p=0,000 (< 0,05) and ESR significance value p=0,000 (< 0,05). This suggest that there are significant differences in the number of the leucocytes and ESR before and after administration of the antituberculosis drugs.

Abstract

Increasing uses of chemicals in the laboratory result of waste substances increased. If those wastes are not carefully managed , various pollutions in the environment will occur. The research deals with the use of a simple filtering for laboratory type liquid waste before disposal. This study took the wastewater IAIN Batusangkar chemical laboratory as the object of research. The tools used to measure the concentration of waste are pH meters and TDS meters, with waste analysis before filtering are color: orange, temperature: 25.5°C, pH: 3.1, TDS (dissolved solids): 11.16, Salt (salinity level ): 8.38, COND: 16.78 mS and a waste volume of 300 ml filtered using simple tools and materials, tools with a height of 23 cm and supported with such materials as sponges, wood charcoal, sand, gravel, coconut fiber, cotton, small stone, with a height of each material in the tool that is 3.5 cm. The results shows that the simple filtering instrument for laboratory waste worked quite well, with a one-time analysis of waste where the results are as follow color: clear, temperature: 25.3°C, pH: 6.2, TDS: 13.23, SALD: 9.93, COND: 19.88 mS, volume of waste: 150 ml. It can be concluded that filtering is successfully filtered waste is approaching the normal pH of pure water that is 7.

Abstract

Improving the quality of services for students from the Batusangkar IAIN Information Management Department requires a system that can provide information needed by students and graduates such as information about alumni data and alumni careers themselves. In addition, this system can also be used as a means to establish communication and manage friendship between students and alumni. This research was carried out in several stages, namely: Collecting data through field studies by observing and observing the IAIN Batusangkar's Information Management Study Program, developing the system using the waterfall method and proceeding with the process, database and interface design. One indicator of the success of the education process can be seen from the success of alumni both continuing studies at a higher level, as well as various fields of work carried out professionally, but the Department of Information Management has not been managed and organized systematically causing some alumni data to not be captured properly, resulting in the lack of information and communication between alumni and alumni. The results of this study are in the form of developing a tracking information system for alumni that contains the amount of alumni data that has worked, alumni workplaces. For this reason, it is necessary to create a system to facilitate the institution, especially the informatics management department in tracking alumni. In this research the web-based application system is designed using supporting applications such as Apache, MySQL and Macromedia Dream Weaver and the waterfall modeling method.

Abstract

Talking about West Sumatra, what will surely be drawn is tourism, it is undeniable that West Sumatra is a tourist province, one of which is island tourism, including Pamusan Island, Cubadak Island, Pasumpahan Island, Pagai Island, Siberut and others. Because it needs the support of supporting applications such as inter-island transportation ordering, it needs the support of technology, one of which is inter-island transportation and also ordering food that can be delivered directly to the address. In order to help make it easier for tourists to visit the island in West Sumatra, an application called the Go Land Application was designed. The Go Land application is an application designed using the Agile system development method with the Android Studio programming language and the UML (Unified Modeling Language) system design tool. This application has several services including: Go_Land, Land_Car, Land_Food, Land_Med, Land_Rent, Land_Auto, in this application Travelers can use facilities on the island including water games, snorkeling, seafood and can be used for formal or informal events. With this application, tourists are expected to be easier, faster and safer to enjoy island tourism in West Sumatra.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of the addition of Ginger flour in the feed to the value of the levels of lipid and protein Broiler meat. These researches were conducted that used Soxhlet method to tested the lipid quality and Kjeldahl method to tested the protein. The sample were used Broiler aged 1 weeks up to 2 weeks, after 2 weeks old chicken was divided into 4 treatment groups of 6 each control group (P0) without treatment, P1 with addition of ginger flour in feed 2.5%, P2 in the addition of ginger flour in the diet of 5%, P3 with the addition of ginger flour in the feed as much as 7.5%. After 42 days old, Broiler conducted sampling of meat in the treatment for the examination of the levels of lipid and protein. The Data obtained are then analyzing used a One-way Anova. The result of these researches is in the range of lipid quality: P0 (8,33%), P1 (6,33%), P2 (5,25%), P3 (5,08%) After analyzed have done it shown there were differences that significance (p>0,05). Result of checked of protein quality: P0 (5,59%), P1 (5,32%), P2 (5,36%), P3 (5,45%)  After analyzed were done there is no significance difference (p>0,05). The higher the percentage of ginger flour, the lower the fat content of broiler chicken.
